- In this video review I talk about the newest generation of the Spyderco Manix 2 Lightweight salt in MAGNACUT steel. I went of the the things I like like the design. The ergonomics of the knife and how it can be held in multiple different grips while cutting. I talk about the development of the Manix 2 and the extremely lightweight to blade ratio. I talk about the implementation of MAGNACUT and how this knife perfectly fits into a EDC Everyday carry role.

Let us know about the tritium lock bar and ceramic ball!!! I have the rex one and had to grab this one too!!! I’ve got a set of OG scales on order and don’t know what one I should put it on but I definitely like the tritium idea!!!
Thank you, by far the best overview I’ve seen of this great knife! Loving mine for all the reasons you listed. I would add that the ball bearing on this model is actually a ceramic one from what I’ve seen on knife forums and people who have taken theirs apart. Makes sense that it would be more corrosion resistant that way. Also, I would have preferred an option for a DLC black blade (maybe still in the works?), which would match all of the black hardware, but if you think of the knife as a purposeful tool, like you mentioned, it all just makes sense.
I would absolutely have loved a DLC blade.

AWT makes aluminum scales for the lightweight manix 👍🏻 right
Yes, there is some going back and forth on the cage lock and ball replacement though...
Some say it works some say it doesn't.
Either way I'm getting one and doing the AWT scales and flytainium cage.
I imagine they'll have an anodized option sooner or later but for now I think it's just the ceracote.
ETA: I think it only comes with an option for wire clip, others have the three hole.
