I bought the game and started playing recently, probably a year after Update 8 came out. I'm currently finishing Phase 3 of the elevator, just got into trains, and I think I will simply start a new save when 1.0 drops. From what I've seen, the late game becomes intentionally more grindy, slow and hard, but with 1.0 it seems the momentum will keep going until the end of the game, which is very welcome to see.

Regarding generators: we also save space/performance. My offshore generator farms were never a nice thing....now a more compact factory will do too!
Idk once you have a basic shape for an outpost, you can come back every now and then to add onto it. Even bad looking bases can be fixed fairly easily via some tweaking
Sometimes it can be hard to hear you over the music so for future videos you should turn it down. Just a friendly suggestion.

Great video, the only thing I would like to add, extra water is not that big of a deal, since that is basically an unlimited resource
true 👍. It'll only mean adding a few extra water generators which will consume power, but at least it's not a rare / valuable resource
nice breakdown! im going to miss flowers they burn the same as wood so I used them in biomass burners instead of wood before I could make solid biofuel. the foundation patterns will be free to place and flower petals are going to be totally removed.
are you sure quartz is decreased? I could have sworn they said in the announcement that the overall quantity of all resources has increased. maybe they were wrong, or maybe you missed some nodes? where did you get the information on the iron, copper and limestone?
the fuel generator thing is pretty huge. it means fuel power plants will take up less room, and require fewer power shards to overclock. definitely a big buff to fuel generators.
as for the recipe changes, im just going to restart and evaluate everything fresh as I play. im surprised anyone is going to try and play their old save.
I’m 99% sure that The amount of Quartz you can collect from a Mark 3 miner at 250% efficiency is less than before
@@TheValhallanPickle did you calculate the fact that currently a pure node is capped to 780 per minute? and may not be capped in 1.0? i'll be honest, I havent done the research, so your likely right. I just thought snutt said it was more for every resource.
the other thing is that is doesnt really bother me. im starting over and i'll just use when I can when I can.
@@marcbennett9232 I think I heared this too on the dev streams, resources have only increased, they're just more spread out over the world
I wish Coffee Stain would get rid of ALL recipes that add water to ore to get ingots! It defies logic/common sense and breaks immersion completely.

Thank You! It’s an app called Miro. It’s free on pc and mobile. it’s meant for team projects and mind maps etc, but I used it for this instead 😂
