IT'S EASY TO GET DISCOURAGED WHEN LEARNING SOMETHING NEW BUT THAT'S HOW WE LEARN AND GET BETTER AT WHAT WE DO. I ENJOY THE VIDEOS AND YOUR DETERMINATION IN GETTING IT RIGHT WITH THE TRIAL AND ERROR METHODS, THANKS! 🇺🇸✌️👍🏻
Thanks for that. Mine was supposed to show up yesterday. I’ll never understand how my wife’s shoes and clothes show up within hours and my stuff takes weeks.
I bought a similar one on eBay and it definitely makes turning coned coins into a nice ring shape. Might want to lube that thing up though. Mine also is a pain without it bolted down.
Hey! Thanks for the video... I know it's an old(er) video now, but I'm wondering what kind of pressure you can generate with that resizer/stretcher... Paired with an appropriately sized ball-bearing, would it be enough to begin the folding process? if so, an arbor press seems like it would be almost redundant.
You can definitely use a ring stretcher reducer to shape and size your rings. I use it when my rings are too big or too small for my dies. However they usually don’t have super smooth cut dies which can lead to sub par rings. Also I feel like I have more control using the arbor press. If you asked I’d say get both but you don’t have to, at least for smaller coins like quarters. Halfs and dollars need more force to shape than you can get out of the stretcher. I’d say it’s about half as powerful as the 1 ton press.
I just got one on Amazon it was around $125 but had good reviews and but this one i believe had bad reviews..mine looks like better quality on the reducer..time will tell.
I keep seeing everyone talk about Jason.works He sells supplies. Actually the video I saw recommended replaced the die with one of his. Seems expensive though, but I think your paying for excellent quality.
First of all you need more videos to watch..you need to put it into a smaller circle..u r going to ruin your machine and blame those ppl where you got it
Hi dale. I think I’ve post several hundred videos and post new videos pretty often. My ring stretcher still works great, definitely made a huge difference mounting to my desk. 🤣 Thanks for watching 😎👍

@@CoinRingMaker Awesome. Thanks so much for the speedy reply and the excellent advice. Looks like I have some more budget-pondering to do.
place it in the smallest one it will fit into..the trick is knowing how far down to go on it depending on the shape you want it to be.
Hey coin ring maker, do you not have to anneal the coin before stretching it. Just getting into i, so just asking.
It’s never a bad idea. I’ve become very comfortable with stretching copper coins. Silver I always anneal, copper anything over size 9 I anneal.
@@CoinRingMaker I agree anneal a lot
When you do anneal, why would you have to do it again? It doesn't get harder on its own

They aren’t the best but they can do work
I watched a video, I think they had that model, they said to get rid of that base die. Said everything else is great, but get a new die for it.
Yeah it’s not a very good die

@@MikeB12800 it’s on my wish list 😉
Extend your handle for more leverage it looked as it was hitting the die
