I honestly feel like my struggle is coming to an end but at the same time it’s not. Im not worried if I have a bad night anymore, my mood will be affected, but I’ve learned to still enjoy my day. I give myself enough time in bed to rest, not sleep, just rest. If sleep comes ok. But I’m still having these rough nights. It’s not even anxiety anymore, it’s just frustrating and annoying.

I could’ve written the same exact thing. I feel like a lot of it comes from a subconscious fear. I’m not afraid of losing sleep, or being tired at least on a conscious level, but there’s still some fear buried under the surface. I’m just trusting that in time it will go away as I continue to learn.

    Hello Daniel
    Hope all is well🙏
Just a question if you can advice me.
I use earphones at night. I put on some quite music just to relax and block external sound disruptions (it is NOT a sleep effort for sure).
Yesterday they said on the TV that Airpods may lead to hearing loss especially if used more than 60 min per day..
It stressed me out. And begun thinking if my use of earphones can damage my hearing over time.
And I cannot stop using them to sleep. They protect me from sounds at night (especially that I live in a noisy neighbouhood).
What are your thoughts on that?
    Thank you always

      Hi Peace,
You know, I think we hear so many scary things that have no backing in reality… also, I think it’s so natural to protect ourselves but… sometimes our effort to do so can keep us from seeing that there’s no real danger…

      Hi and welcome,
We call this a pendulum pattern and it’s very common. We can learn from each night, sleep more and we say “that’s because I wasn’t trying” sleep less and we say “that’s simply because there was some more effort” each time reinforces the path to peace

John .. you mentioned you had tinnitus & hyperacusis back when you were struggling with insomnia,
Can you tell us what the status of that is now?
~ I ask because I too have tinnitus & hyperacusis - which sometimes feels like it is 'the thing' that is keeping me from sleeping - due to the shrillness and/or volume.

    • @johnpizanis591
      @johnpizanis591 Год назад +2

Hello, both are much much improved. I know how scary and painful sounds can be when experiencing hyperacusis. Everyday sounds are so imposing. I’m much better! Once my nervous system settled down things improved. Try not to (hard I know) react to both as this certainly doesn’t help matters. Things will tone down for you. They did for me and I never thought they would. Hang in there.

I do indeed have a hyper-sensitive nervous system (ME/CFS here) and I work daily to calm it down via Mind/Body practices for TMS, as well as -TRE and mindfulness meditation.

    Hi Daniel,
I have insomnia for about 11 months. I honestly feel like I lost the ability to sleep on my own. I tried almost all the sleeping medications prescribed but none of them worked if it worked I will sleep for 2-3 hours per night.
I am very interested in your program as my insomnia consumed me and I want to live the life the I used to have.

Hey Daniel I was sleeping pretty well for two weeks and then I jumped into a speed bump now I'm sleeping with wakefulness and a day followed by headache, the thing is I'm worried about the headache part as it makes my day less enjoyable which give rise to sleep anxiety that the headache is because I'm not sleeping well. Any tips on how to deal with this situation.

      Hello Namrah..here I am again.
I will say just don't think about bad night get on with your daily schedule..just give 0 attention to bad nights. Have some kind of aerobic exercise (to level down the stress hormones) Go out & enjoy with friends. Have a very good social life. I used to run 5 km daily before insomnia & for 2 months I stopped running bcos of insomnia. After getting hypersleep & some amount of deep sleep I started it again. Started enjoying life again. I am not sleeping so well bt now I am getting 5 6hrs of deep sleep with hypersleep.

Thanks for this nice conversation!
