I heard another RUclipsr describe the Ganondorf fight in Tears of the Kingdom as a proficiency test. And he really did have a point. To fight him efficiently, you need to have most aspects of the combat system down so you can dodge and parry well. I also love how he talks to Link if he hits you. They did such a good job with that boss design, more than made up for what was a lacklustre final boss in Breath of the Wild

personally i think malladus was the hardest spirit tracks boss, each phase brought its own challenge like fighting electric mice or the fireball sequence or having to successfully play the spirit flute before beginning phase 3
Yeah definitely was in consideration as well, I haven't had the chance to play spirit tracks for a while but from my memory it was always fraaz that bodied me lmao
I'd argue that the hardest boss in 4 Swords Adventures were my three friends who would consistantly sabotage me while playing... I may have dicked on them equally as much too though... And the hardest boss in Oracle of Ages has to be... The Goron Dance.
The hardest boss in Link's awakening is for me the Shadow of Ganon. It took me some time to understand how to beat it and it was still hard after that point.
Agreed with all for the ones I've played - except Ocarina of Time, for me the hardest there is surprisingly Phantom Ganon in Forest Temple. Replayed the game so many times, so pretty much autopilot through every dungeon/boss, but Phantom Ganon is the only one that kills me sometimes on repeat runs. No idea why though, he only has like 2 simple mechanics, but I always suck on that fight lol
I would say Ganon is the toughest in A Link to the Past as well. Mothula is annoying, but can be brute forced and fire shreds her. Ganon on the other hand is a headache if you have too few hearts and magic.

Oh god, Smog from Oracle of Ages. I didn't really find that fight difficult but it sure as hell dragged on, and with how often the boss theme started and stopped, finally beating him felt abrupt and unrewarding. I remember Plasmarine in Jabu Jabu's Belly giving me trouble, but that was only because I didn't realize that his own projectile would hurt him after using the Switch Hook. With that knowledge the fight became really quite easy. Seasons definitely had the harder bosses. I personally found the dark dragon form of Onox just as if not a little more difficult than the first, but the boss that gave me equal trouble originally was Digdogger. Once you learn the movement of the spike ball though he's not all too bad.
Ooh, honestly I knew Smog was going to be a bit of a weird choice, I think I was too young and dumb to figure him out so I just remember dying over and over to him. Digdogger was definitely hard to start off with but like you said with most bosses once you figure out their pattern they become simple enough. Interesting about your thoughts on the dragon form though! But can definitely see why, I think Onox with Din in the crystal blocking the way was the most challenging for me, always got mixed up swtiching back and forth with the rod to sword
I find King Gleeok the easiest because it has no environmental challenge. It doesn't really matter much if you add another head. The ice one is probably the most difficult due to cold weather + slow running speed. If the DLC makes the King Gleeok activate the environment debuffs all at once and won't turn off even it is down, then now we are talking.
Twilight Princess not only had challenging bosses but really good in game music per area. The ending of A Link Between Worlds was a tear jerker to be honest.
Idk if it was just my “level” per se in Totk, but I found muctorok to be by far the most annoying boss, and didn’t have much of a challenge with Ganon. Granted, I had about 10 hearts against muctorok and nearly 30 against DKG. All in all, demon king Ganon was my favorite fight and was so fun.
In a link between worlds, whilst i did find ganon somewhat difficult, zaganaga ( the plant boss in the desert) was more frustrating, since i died to it a lot of times
In TotK, if xou have enough sundelion food ganondorf is ok to fight and queen gibdo becomes a joke if you have yunobo, its the robot thats the evil form of minerus new body that took me the most tries, after that is kogas bot
In the game the legend of Zelda a link between world the hardest one was the ice temple boss on hero mode even with the blue tunic it’s very hard because that boss does a LOT of damage. It’s more than a iron fist from ocarina of time
I'll say for Tears of the Kingdom, I'm a bit divided. If we're going purely main like bosses then I'd definitely say Ganondorf was the hardest, though not by much. Then again i was pretty good at parrying him so my experience may be a bit biased haha. He was the coolest on presentation alone, and seeing him dodge my own flurry rush was very hype, though I feel like he could've done way more damage being the final boss. By the time i fought him i had a decently upgraded champions leathers and both hylian hood and trousers maxed out, so he at most did 1-2 hearts per hit. I totally feel like they could've made him more challenging by having his damage scale with your health and defense, making him a constant threat rather than only challenging if you go through the main story alone. For all bosses though, I'd definitely have to say King Gleok was the most challenging. It took me upwards of 20-30 minutes before i finally managed to take one down the first time, and even now it can still manage to get me down to health lower than I'd like to be
I find the Dragon fight from Onox much harder than the initial fight but the first has a puzzle factor to trip you up (Din) and the second has a combat factor in that he fights far more like a Capcom sidescroller boss than any fight in the Oracle games, let alone Seasons, so understanding how to dodge his attacks from scratch can be challenging. Can't see Smog as one tho. I'll give a bonus that Twinrova sucks a lot more in Ages with the Seed Shooter and the 8th dungeon boss (Ramrock or something) was a good boss fight with clever weakness hints and a few hitbox quirks to add to the challenge.
Easiest boss in every Zelda game: Zelda 1: Dodongo Zelda 2: Carock Link to the Past: Agahnim (Hyrule Castle) Link's Awakening: Angler Fish Ocarina of Time: Queen Gohma Majora's Mask: Majora Oracle of Seasons: Dodongo Oracle of Ages: Plasmarine Wind Waker: Kalle Demos Minish Cap: Giant Chuchu Twilight Princess: Armogohma Skyward Sword: Moldarch A Link Between Worlds: Knucklemaster Breath of the Wild: Dark Beast Ganon Tears of the Kingdom: Mucktorock Never played the DS games or the Four Swords games
I think there's an argument to be made for Dodongo over Gohma in Ocarina of Time. While Dodongo does require a bit of manual aiming to hit the weak spot (over being able to Z-target Gohma and let loose when her weak spot appears), I feel like Dodongo can't even do damage in between bomb tosses. He rolls around and then goes for the same attack again, easy to avoid. Gohma actually summons minions, which you have to be quick to kill before they hatch, either through manual aiming of the slingshot, or sword attacks after they land (especially with multiple eggs at a time).
The easiest boss in Spirit Tracks is probably Stagnox since it's the first boss in the game, except for the fact that the fight uses the whirlwind, so players might get lightheaded Phytops is a similar difficulty just made slightly harder by the falling acid, but they're both pretty manageable The easiest boss in Phantom Hourglass is the Cubus Sisters fight since it's just a long game of dead man's volley
It's been a while since playing MM but i feel like that's only the easiest option if you have the fierce diety mask so that one's conditional considering I'm sure most people doing a blind playthrough are going to find that their first time
Very interesting to hear that you had trouble with Fraaz in ST. Since the boomerang can hit the same target multiple times in quick succession, the fight was not that hard in my opinion. One line from either the fire or ice source and than several loops that circle back to him, the boomerang will take him out in 2 seconds.
I consider Rocktite 3 to be the hardest Spirit Tracks boss. None of them are any degree of complicated and all the dungeon bosses have you use their item in a way that was taught to you in the dungeon (this includes Byrne w/ Phantom Zelda), but the train fights are the only ones to be on some kind of timer. The Demon Train's is barely a factor and I wish it was shorter, but the Rocktites' multiple advances where you either knock it down or get damaged, combined with needing a well timed bomb barrel to expose its eye from the second onward and the absolute clusterf*ck that the tektites bring in the third makes that last one pretty stressful. And that's on top of its hard timer where if you run out of time, you have to restart the fight
In terms of BOTW, if we included the DLC memory blight fights, while Maz Koshia still is the hardest (and my absolute favourite), I found Waterblight very difficult while only having Mipha's weapons to defeat it with. Not having the freedom to use my own weapons and limited amount of arrows it took a few tries whereas the other blights I done in 1 go. Makes me realise that no wonder Mipha fell the quickest out of the champtions.. Alternatively I found the Seized Construct more difficult than any of the TOTK fights. I've never died more times in that game since the tutorial (and that was just me getting used to having no paraglider and a stick lol).
honestly A Link Between Worlds and Four Swords Adventures were so pathetically easy I couldn't even name a hardest boss but you did well I do disagree with a few of your picks Twilight Princess I would've gone with Gandonrof, specifically his phase 3 as dodging his attacks with the horse and Zelda's aiming made the fight rather dififcult. For Skyward Sword I would've gone with Ghirahim 3, as it's a longer fight and I felt like it required more precision than Demise did and then for Triforce heroes I wouldve absolutely gone with The Lady (or Moldorm) as doing those fights solo absolutely sucked (i hated the lady's dead mans volley) Otherwise pretty good list! Im glad im not the only one who struggled unreasonably with Fraaz haha
Hm, for the 2D vs 3D boss thing, I feel like 2D has a lot more limitations and restrictions on what the player can do. Generally smaller arenas, bigger bosses, larger hitboxes, and fewer ways to avoid taking damage. Probably the biggest issue is not being able to easily attack in one direction, while moving away in another (with the one exception of charging a spin attack, which slows down the player's movement). Z-targeting, side hops, backflip dodges, and rolling, paired with the larger 3D environments allowing for more verticality in boss movements means more maneuverability for the player, and less damage taken overall.
Oddly enough I found Colgera from totk to be surprisingly hard from what I heard it was very easy but I struggled against it (mainly because totk was my first Zelda game and I fought it first) but I died about 4 times more than any other boss haven’t fought final boss yet so who knows
Definitely one of the hardest bosses in the game for sure, I don't think I had as much trouble against him though, I just think the gloom effect in the Ganondorf fight creates more difficulties
zelda2: once you have magic level8 thunderbird is pretty easy because you can cast shield, jump, thunder, and mostly overseen: reflect. reflect makes it so that you can dodge most of his fireballs with your shield. its hardly possible to lose this way.
Demon king ganondorf is one of my favorite zelda fights simply cause it plays out like a sekiro boss Sword? Dodge Spear? Side dodge club? Side dodge or normal dodge Its really all about timing In my 5th attempt ive managed to no hit him using flurry rushes only
I agree that totk Ganondorf is the TRUE MVP of pushing the player to its limit when it comes to battle capability. Basically being a shieldless buffed up Link with power of Darkness that can destroy disabled hearts (only during that fight) and the comically out of ordinary boundaries life bar showing that he's starting to bend reality to its battling advantage. It's also proof that anyone who has very high reflexes in the Zeldaverse can flurry rush
It's purely situational, and not something you'd likely experience playing the game normally, but Twinmold is what I would consider the toughest boss for Majora's Mask (specifically the n64 version) , purely if you don't have the Giant's Mask. It's something I've experienced a few times with Randomizers, and it is awful every single time. THough admittedly that could be because I also just suck at aiming the bow pfths
17:23 bro Demise is not that hard, I believe that imprisoned is the hardest boss in skyward sword because you have to go up and down a little steep hole. Also you have to do it within a time limit.
Honestly Yuganon really never felt difficult to me in ALBW, mainly because you have so much health at that point and the damage reduction from the red mail makes it almost impossible to die to him, especially when you know what you're doing. Honestly though most of the bosses in ALBW are quite easy so I guess I can understand, the only bosses I would consider above average in difficulty are Stalbind and Zaganaga, the rest are either really easy or very cheesable
I played Majora's Mask before Ocarina, and after that boss fight with the mirror shield Twinrova wasn't too tough for me personally. I sucked at Bongo Bongo though 💀
I really only have two different choices (but also I haven't played some of these games in a long while so I can't say I fully remember my experience with many of the bosses), and they'd be The Imprisoned (2) for SS and Memory Waterblight for BotW (Master Mode DLC). Imprisoned 3 is mostly the same as 2, but it ends earlier thanks to Groose. So you already have experience with the fight by the time you get to it. Demise's ruthless offense is easily shattered with some skilled parrying to the point that, when I first fought him, he was only able to get one hit in. Compared to that, The Imprisoned's second fight adds the shockwaves that are notoriously frustrating to deal with, as eluded to in the video. I had way more trouble with it. I even dropped my first playthrough and never got past that point until I started a new playthrough when SS HD released. The big thing about most BotW bosses is that you're usually geared up and can sufficiently prepare for every encounter. That's not the case for the memory fights where you have set armor, weapons, and inventory. I may be cheating by specifically choosing the Master Mode difficulty for this, but with your strict arrow stock and Water Blight constantly playing keep-away, this one took an eternity for me to figure out.
Luckilly because I had pretty good armor, swords, and multiple Hylian shields I was able to beat Totk Ganondorf first try. But damn did I come close to losing. Literally knocked me down to like one heart. Almost as shocking as the fact that he just gobbled up all of my Hylian shields in a millisecond. Thank god that Demon Dragon is an easy ass fight after that hard ass boss.
its the opposite with me i murdered twinrova ....... and had to get my sisters help with bongo bongo (i also had the biggoron sword so yea.) when it comes to botw bosses maz koshia ....... BEST BOSS FIGHT EVAH
Twinrova is laughably easy even for a first time player. Literally just a "hold the shield button" simulator. Bongo Bongo on the other hand will easily murder you if you're not quick enough to dodge his attacks or land your own against him
@@cjsaurus4120 You don't need them to fight him. They actually make it harder. Even though you get thrown into the air you can still lock onto him so when you come back down you can shoot his hands with your bow that's what I do
So I thought I'd check it out and it'd give me a warning in the glooms approach so I was vastly unprepared took lots of damage and when I got to the demon King had no way to heal gloom and 7 hearts and 1st tier armour so while slightly challenging I'd say not so difficult I think queen gibdo was the better choice there
It was the Seized Construct for me in TotK. This is a boss that requires you to gimp your mobility with Mineru just to be able to damage it effectively and safely. Mucktorock isn't hard, it's just annoying in the Depths, and Ganondorf is just Phantom Ganon with extra steps. Dissapointing
Totk ganon is the hardest boss in zelda period. Good christ. I got so comfy killing the 4 bosses like theyre nothing. Went to ganondork’s house and by phase 3 got destroyed
i thing blizzagia in tri force heroes was easy but it really was if you had the snow suit and i beat it by myself also gyorg was really hard bongo bongo was kinda easy and alttp it was definitly moldorm
Ok. the flying bird boss in final dungeon of 2 has a trick. he chases you. so you go to the lowest level in the corner, wait for him to come to you, then walk back to the middle dias and jump towards him for a hit. Not the easiest boss, but too predictable to be considered hard. I think I beat him consistently without being hit once. The shadow boss is even easier than that cheat. There's a head shot trick that just obliterates most enemies in that game.
totk has gotta be the mucktorok, although the demon king is very close. its easy in the first phase, only having do deal with one attack seriously, but the second phase is hell, putting sludge arpund the map, wasting sidons attacks if you are low on splash fruits, or any water item really.
Hot take; Ganon fight in TOTK isnt hard at all. Mind you, it isnt easy either, but his attacks are hardly difficult to dodge. Then again, ive fought PG god knows how many times, so do with that what you will.

honestly A Link Between Worlds and Four Swords Adventures were so pathetically easy I couldn't even name a hardest boss but you did well
I do disagree with a few of your picks
Twilight Princess I would've gone with Gandonrof, specifically his phase 3 as dodging his attacks with the horse and Zelda's aiming made the fight rather dififcult.
For Skyward Sword I would've gone with Ghirahim 3, as it's a longer fight and I felt like it required more precision than Demise did
and then for Triforce heroes I wouldve absolutely gone with The Lady (or Moldorm) as doing those fights solo absolutely sucked (i hated the lady's dead mans volley)
Otherwise pretty good list! Im glad im not the only one who struggled unreasonably with Fraaz haha
I still find Lynels harder than Ganondorf in Totk 😅
Totk ganondorf flurry rushes your flurry rushes
Now imagine you play a Link to the past Boss rando where you fight the Ghost inside of the Moths area.
Mission Impossible
I thought slime eal in links awakening you can literally just sit in the corner and when it's across from you Hookshot it and I one fased it
Definitely could go that method lmao I definitely didn't tho I remember getting bodied
Get the Romani milk to get infinite magic power then swim at Geeorg constantly like a torpedo.
Nobody:
Legend of Kai when fighting fire and ice bosses fsr:
oh my god you forgot the 2 best games in the series
i cant believe you forgot the faces of evil and the wand of gamelon
Game was too hard never made it to any of the bosses
Demon King Ganondorf is by far the best ganon fight in the entire franchise i love it so much
"he ain't winning any wimbledon title with that form" 💀nahh but maybe rolland garros
wake up babe new legend of kai video
Oddly enough I found Colgera from totk to be surprisingly hard from what I heard it was very easy but I struggled against it (mainly because totk was my first Zelda game and I fought it first) but I died about 4 times more than any other boss haven’t fought final boss yet so who knows
I remember 9yo me sweating so hard when I had to fight Puppet Gabon then after noticing that Gabon was easier than him…..
hardest skyward sword boss for me was koloktos 😭 especially when you do boss rush mode to get the hylian shield from the thunder dragon
Clearly you haven't fought the king gleeok in tears of the kingdom yet
Definitely one of the hardest bosses in the game for sure, I don't think I had as much trouble against him though, I just think the gloom effect in the Ganondorf fight creates more difficulties
@@Legend-of-Kai There's one that does gloom damage in the depths
Dude. did you try shooting gleoch with a silver arrow... I mean hello. one shot...
zelda2: once you have magic level8 thunderbird is pretty easy because you can cast shield, jump, thunder, and mostly overseen: reflect. reflect makes it so that you can dodge most of his fireballs with your shield. its hardly possible to lose this way.
Queen Gibdo was hell.
Demon king ganondorf is one of my favorite zelda fights simply cause it plays out like a sekiro boss
Sword? Dodge
Spear? Side dodge
club? Side dodge or normal dodge
Its really all about timing
In my 5th attempt ive managed to no hit him using flurry rushes only
I agree that totk Ganondorf is the TRUE MVP of pushing the player to its limit when it comes to battle capability.
I wonder what TotK DLC bosses will be like.
Keep up the hard work Kai!
0:12 song?
17:23 bro Demise is not that hard, I believe that imprisoned is the hardest boss in skyward sword because you have to go up and down a little steep hole. Also you have to do it within a time limit.
More like biggest skill issue in every Zelda game
Pretty much yeah
Yeah, I stopped the video when i heard the hardest boss in ToTK is Demon King......
*Thanks for the heads up. I haven't finished the game.*
Bongo Bongo is harder than Twin Rova for me. Twin Rova when I played was a total joke.
mothula was freakign impossible. small hitbox on top of what you said
its the opposite with me i murdered twinrova ....... and had to get my sisters help with bongo bongo (i also had the biggoron sword so yea.) when it comes to botw bosses maz koshia ....... BEST BOSS FIGHT EVAH
Twinrova is laughably easy even for a first time player. Literally just a "hold the shield button" simulator. Bongo Bongo on the other hand will easily murder you if you're not quick enough to dodge his attacks or land your own against him
@@LMG3000-s8f yea I have the reaction time of a sloth
@@cjsaurus4120 You just gotta get used to it. He killed me 3 times when I first encountered him. Now I can beat him no problem
@@LMG3000-s8f it's not him that's the problem the problem is the hover boots
@@cjsaurus4120 You don't need them to fight him. They actually make it harder. Even though you get thrown into the air you can still lock onto him so when you come back down you can shoot his hands with your bow that's what I do
BRO I SWEAR I HAD TO HIT DEMISE WITH A FINALBLOW 10000000000000000000 TIMES BEFORE HE DIED WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE
I don't know if I was just terrible at the game, but I definitely found majora the hardest in majora's mask
Did monk maz koshia first try
So I thought I'd check it out and it'd give me a warning in the glooms approach so I was vastly unprepared took lots of damage and when I got to the demon King had no way to heal gloom and 7 hearts and 1st tier armour so while slightly challenging I'd say not so difficult I think queen gibdo was the better choice there
While being really fun, I found the Ganondorf in TotK one of the easier fights in the game.
I’m kinda mad they did a dark beast ganon again in totk with dragon ganon, it was cool setting but come on, who died there?
It was the Seized Construct for me in TotK. This is a boss that requires you to gimp your mobility with Mineru just to be able to damage it effectively and safely. Mucktorock isn't hard, it's just annoying in the Depths, and Ganondorf is just Phantom Ganon with extra steps. Dissapointing
Totk ganon is the hardest boss in zelda period. Good christ. I got so comfy killing the 4 bosses like theyre nothing. Went to ganondork’s house and by phase 3 got destroyed
Nice vid
Bro we have the same name. Instant subscription
Everyone knows the hardest boss in OoT is the Iron Knuckle
i thing blizzagia in tri force heroes was easy but it really was if you had the snow suit and i beat it by myself also gyorg was really hard bongo bongo was kinda easy and alttp it was definitly moldorm
I still think that Shadow Link in OoT is the most difficult enemy. Not that anyone was really hard in that game
Ok. the flying bird boss in final dungeon of 2 has a trick. he chases you. so you go to the lowest level in the corner, wait for him to come to you, then walk back to the middle dias and jump towards him for a hit.
Not the easiest boss, but too predictable to be considered hard. I think I beat him consistently without being hit once.
The shadow boss is even easier than that cheat. There's a head shot trick that just obliterates most enemies in that game.
Everyone knows the toughest boss in Botw is flowerblight gannon
In twilight princess ganondorf has like 5 phases, making him the hardest not zant
totk has gotta be the mucktorok, although the demon king is very close. its easy in the first phase, only having do deal with one attack seriously, but the second phase is hell, putting sludge arpund the map, wasting sidons attacks if you are low on splash fruits, or any water item really.
Just use a water hydrant. Super easy
i didnk know that at the time i made this comment okay@@michaelmeyer4682
I find the phantom hourglass final boss to be the hardest due to the low quality touch screen controls
am i the only one who didn't struggle too much with maz koshia, at least on normal mode?
I don't agree, in ocarina of time the most difficult Is Beast ganon because One hit him with the biggoron sword not knowing that It doesn't hurt him
i personally think Frazz was the easiest boss in spirit tracks. hardest for me being either Skeldritch or Phytops.
Nah the hardest boss in BoTW is 100% Flowerblight Ganon, I still haven't beaten it till this day
In both an totk the red boko is hardest for me
wait your an Aussie lets go
Hot take; Ganon fight in TOTK isnt hard at all. Mind you, it isnt easy either, but his attacks are hardly difficult to dodge. Then again, ive fought PG god knows how many times, so do with that what you will.
Wait doesn’t gramps count as a boss
Gleok is easy. Run straight to his main body and spam the sword. Dead in under two seconds.
