Thanks for the testing. I did something similar in order to find a hunting ammo for my squirrel rifle. Although I was going to use the Auto match I wanted to have a hollow point. What I settled on was a couple of different brands. One was ELEY High Velocity (not a bulk ammo) and the other was Aguila Hollow Point that I didn't realize could be bought in a bulk pack, but it is available in a 500 round box. I mention this because as a hollow point 38 grain 1280FPS round it actually did pretty well. Also my testing was at 35 yards and not 50 yards. Others I tested were Winchester super X and Remington Golden Bullets from the bucket of bullets as they were hollow points. These didn't do well. I also shot a couple of the bulk box Federals and they didn't do well ether.
🇦🇺😎👍Hey mate. I had the buckets of bullets about 6 years ago. The projectiles were very loose and wouldn’t stop jamming in my Kimber 1911 but were ok in my revolver. As for accuracy I couldn’t complain in my handguns but I never tried them in a rifle. One other thing I noticed was my hands were black after shooting a couple hundred rds. . Great honest video🏁
In my experience, over the last 60+ years of shooting, Remington has always had a loose bullet. Learned beaucoup years ago to not hunt or shoot in the rain or snow with them. So it's sad to see the company still has the same problem we've always complained about.
In my experience, this ammo has worked best with revolvers and semi-auto handguns and an old marlin 60. This ammo is kept far away from any of my rifles. Great series 👏 👌 👍

I just look at some old targets I shot in August of 2020 with my Brno #1 (an accurate rifle) and I have two different targets that measure approximately .350 to .375 at 50 yards. I checked, the bullets do not twist in the case. I believe that Remington made some descent ammunition for that particular run of Green & Gold. Different lots do not shoot that well. I think the lot of Rem. 36 gr. Green & Gold that you have is floor sweepings that didn’t make to the trash. LOL If I had a way to contact I would send you photos of the groups and the rifle. It'd maybe be good to weigh powder, bullets and case/primer just to compare stuff. Obviously not worth doing on something this bad, but on something that's close to good you could see what could improve things. I've also found that bullet diameter varies a lot. CCI is usually bang on .2235, while Federal AM is usually .223-.220. Curious to see exactly how identical fancy stuff is, or the variation they could have.
The problem with bulk ammo is quality control. I stripped down 20 golden bullets and there was up to a 0.7 grain difference in the powder charges. But this has been happening for years, and Remington is just not interested.
Nice test. I hope tests like this may someday give Remington a better goal in their ammunition. I also enjoyed Cumberland Outdoorsman tests as well. Gotta hope Remington will study CCI a bit and may actually compete or be a bit better.
