It doesn't mention that she hadn't actually read the book at that time but got inspiration from watching just part of a BBC adaptation of it on tv. Incredible mind and talent

they talk about the white dress video, but the rest of the world are talking about the red dress version, the definitive , ultimate version, the movements there are mindblowing.

The mime is top level as well. While singing it no doubt at full volume to lip sync.

Kate exists in the tradition of Emily Dickinson and Sam Beckett, imagining consciousness in death.
Everything taken together, one of the most important artists in years and more years!

Thank you for posting this.wonderful video. I did not know that Kate Bush had her poem to Emily Bronte carved into Ogden Kirk, on the stones in the hills of Yorkshire...just beautiful.
    "She stands outside
    A book in her hands
“Her name is Cathy”, she says
“I have carried her so far, so far
Along the unmarked road from our graves
    I cannot reach this window
    Open it, I pray.”
But his window is a door to a lonely world
    That longs to play.
Ah Emily. Come in, come in and stay."

Does Kate Bush every "ghost"write for others? For all we know, some starlet out there is just getting Kate songs from the reject bin...
