Coming from Desert Storm of 1991, a good friend of mine have told me of a German discoteck in the middle of nowhere, untouched by American troops called, The Tenner. The best part of this place was the women to men ratio was close to 4:1. It had four different bars in 3 different levels, a laser light show and did I say lovely ladies of all sizes, shapes, colors and all? I reconned the place by myself and was so mesmerized by the sights and sounds of the 90s Raves that for the longest time, I never told of such place. Justified and Ancient was like the club's anthem-fist pumping in synch, women gyrating their hips like a slow belly dancers. The great "thumping" songs like What Is Love, Mr Vain, It's My Life, and even the Macarena (before it blew the world up)...was discovered here. Long Live Raves and The Tenner

I did once get into a conversation with a musician I no longer work with about Skin and I think he was trying to paint a bad picture of her. He said about how she scared kids on Top of the Pops because of her appearance but I didn’t take that as a negative and just nerded out about a band I like. It’s ridiculous to tell a rockstar to stop scaring kids and the comments on her appearance bring a racist angle to what he was saying. He was very confused when I just moved on without acknowledging a thing he said but I knew not to listen and I didn’t actually know if what he said was true until today. Skunk Anansie Rulez
