Thanks to you Brian, I love my Wild Irish Whistle A it's great. Sam
Lovely playing, and thanks for the tip about the C natural. I am really enjoying my Wild Irish D whistle!
Great to hear that, Juliet, yes it's a beautiful C natural.
Wow! Gorgeous! Thank you so much for your review. My husband just started playing this Tin Whistle in D in tribute to his sister. His regular instrument is the bass and treble trombone. He really enjoys playing it also. Again, thank you so much, your playing is superb.
Lovely to hear that, Karen. What would we do without music? Pop back for my Wild Irish C whistle review later today.
You've sold me for sure....your playing is music to my ears...I bought a Wild D and McNeela sent one to me that had a badly made mouthpiece that had sharp edges on the sides of the delrin in the middle...broke my heart...I really wanted to play it and keep it...but it was cutting my lower lip...I sent it back...they also sent me a Lon Dubh with an unfinished blow hole...sharp delrin also...my whole birthday order ruined....just so upsetting that I got two instruments that I wanted to play and couldn't...had to send back ..all they had to say was "sorry you weren't happy"...seriously???..I haven't received a refund yet ..I so wanted a Wild D but now I'm afraid to reorder. But, I do so enjoy your playing...
Great review, and amazing playing! I absolutely love my Wild Irish D from McNeela! Excellent whistles for sure!
Thanks Shamus, I'll be uploading my Wild Irish C whistle review today - another hit in my opinion.
Such a great sound! Beautiful playing. According to a comment on McNeela's FB page, the first jig is "McIntyre’s Fancy" composed by John Brady.
Thanks Susan, my head is full of tunes but not always titles!
How much backpressure do they have please or are they fairly freeblowing?
Mine need very little, Mike, very easy to blow
@@brianhughesofficial4087 Thanks, Brian!
I prefer the the sound and playability of my Killarney brass D, I might try one of these for use in my van (tea break practice)
Each to their own, Brian. Thanks for commenting.
Lovely tunes. I think the first one is called Siobhan O'Donnell's #2.
I’ve just bought one! I think its awesome quality kit! I love it!🎼🎶❤️🙏
Thanks Brian, great review. From this video I hear a very nice and balanced sound, the first octave has a good volume and a nice "roundness" or sound sweetness . I can hear the second octave in tune even without blowing very hard and the tone is pleasant and as I said balanced. Can I ask you if it requires a lot of air and if the sound is raw or if it has been modified with reverb or other?
Glad it was helpful! The sound was completely unmodified. My kitchen has great acoustics! Doesn't require a lot of air at all.
