We had an absolute blast when we filmed this a couple weeks ago! I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we did making it. Lots of laughs as two old friends listen to music together. Be sure to visit our sponsor FallenbyNature.com where Gauge and I are creative contributors to the t-shirt designs.
BRING BACK DAVID! Also great vid! I watched the whole thing with my brother! Love seeing you guys have so much fun! And could you react to some more Demon Hunter? Songs like, Someone to Hate, Cross to Bare, Blood in the Tears, or I will Fail You. God bless!
You should really do a reaction to a song by Oh, Sleeper. . .my favorite Christian metalcore band. All their songs are super deep, "The Island" is a banger about a mutiny against god using a metaphor about a mutiny against the wind on a sailing ship and crashing ashore. "The Summit" is a beautiful tear-jerking ballad. All their stuff is excellent, they are so underrated.
Fit For A King!! I just recently "discovered" them about a month ago, maybe. I highly recommend "The Price of Agony," "Selfish Eyes," "When Everything Means Nothing," "Forever Unbroken," I could go on. They have so many great songs. Hope you and your family are doing well!
I have major anxiety and panic issues. I’ve been on medication that doesn’t work, I’ve prayed, I’ve seen doctors, I’ve done so much to combat it and I honestly haven’t had much in the way of relief. I lock myself down a lot when it happens, but I know that only makes it worse but sometimes I’m too scared to do much else. So this song and discussion really hits home for me.
This song hits really deep for me personally. I struggle with ptsd, depression, and extreme intrusive thoughts. My demons will kill me if I listen to them, and music helps me escape. I really appreciate this channel and your biblical view of all of my favorite songs and bands. Thank you so much for your unknowing assistance. This probably made no sense because it’s 01 and I’m tired as anything, but I just wanted you to know that you helped this hurting soul more than you can ever know. I recommend that you react to Masochist, by Polaris.
Because everyone has different and deeply personal good and bad connections to music, Philippians 4:8 is great guideline to apply to any music we listen to. Ask yourself if your heart's motive for listening to heavy metal music is glorifying God (1 Cor 10:31), and be aware that even if you like it, your friend, buddy, or neighbor might not. There are people who associate the sounds of heavy metal music with temptations from their past -- yes, even Christian heavy metal music with biblically sound themes -- which may cause problems in their walk with God. Again,, Philippians 4:8 says to focus only on beautiful and edifying things. If Christian heavy metal makes it hard for the listener to focus on the standard of Phi 4:8, then that person should probably choose a different type of music to listen to.
I just downloaded the entire album! You always cover great Christian Artists and have very constructive conversations about their songs! Definitely opens my eyes and helps me find meaning in what I listen too.
FFAK are one of the best bands in metalcore. Check out the live versions of “God of Fire” from there upcoming album. “ Shattered Glass” has helped me through severe depression.
A fantastic band called The Great Commission once said at a live show "God doesn't hear what comes out of our amps. God is listening to our hearts. This is how we choose to worship." Relates incredibly to the Psalm passage. Love these vids!
I always watch to the end.. bring David back. I was in tears because I have been praying for confirmation of writing styles, unsure if God really wanted me to scream sing as I try to proclaim His Word. I now have the confirmation. I'm so happy you guys are having fun...God is good
That was so awesome! I love FFAK so I’m so happy you got around to reacting to one of their songs. I have multiple invisible illnesses so I can relate to the song and to your thoughts on it. It was so wonderful seeing you have so much fun with David - bring him back on! Your laughter was infectious and it brightened my day. I always watch your videos to the end. Thanks for making such great content.
One of my all time favorite metal bands! I have got to know the guys in the band a little over the last 5 years and they are awesome people with big hearts!
You guys had a blast at the end! (I watched all the way through) That’s such a good point you made about how we are all made in the image and likeness of God so any noise we can create is Gods creation and can be used for praise. Love your videos, keep em coming.
Great video! Fit for a King has been my favorite band for quite a while now. If you're looking for another band to check out for a future video, Deathbreaker (signed to Facedown Records) just put out one of the heaviest hardcore albums I've heard in a long time. Any song on there is killer. Also, I watched to the end!
Oftentimes i read their lyrics from a mental and emotional standpoint. I deal with ADHD daily, and often days feel hopeless. "Can't find the cure for something no one can see, it won't stop..." yeah. Yeah....
I’ve been in touch with them before and that whole album is supposed to represent the fragility of life, and mental health problems. That’s why the rose is upside down with rain to represent sorrow. That was Ryan kirbys words to me .
Watched through to the end and I always do keep up the awesome work guys... and yes definitely get David back in for more videos, it's great seeing you two laugh together
the meaning of the song could also be about loneliness, i read one comment of the song Oblivion from the same album, and it said about some guy hurting other people unintentionally and just gave up and decided to hide from the world, which is where the part "all you know is burning", and when you're alone, no one cares about you, no one cares about your pain either and no one will try to help you which is where the part "you can't find a cure for something no one can see" and yes mental illness takes huge part for this song. That's just how i interpretate the song.
Fit for a king is one of my favorite bands! My biggest struggle is receiving stereotypes because I listen to this kind of music I love you channel because I have recently over the passed few years gotten closer to god and sometimes I feel like the music I choose to listen to doesn’t satisfy him and then I find out you do videos on them and I understand multiple points of view and it’s a huge help! I love what you’re doing keep it up!!!!
I made it all the way thank you for you take on all genres that are honestly praising God, and as a man of God living in Rural Arkansas, a country boy can survive!
All of their songs are amazing, but you guys HAVE to listen to more! Ryan has some killer cleans you guys need to hear! Keep the reactions coming! God Bless you all!
Keep up the ministry pastor, been here since day 3 lol have enjoyed all your reaction videos. I enjoy the prospective on music and the discussion opportunity it creates for Jesus. My the lord continue guiding you. Praying for you & your family.
I love the fact that I listened to a great FFAK song, I had a great reflection and great pastoral points of view, and I also laughed a lot! Thanks God bless youuuuu!
I watched the whole video! And it was great! Also, could you guys react to some more demon hunter? Songs like, Someone to Hate, Blood in the Tears, Cross to Bear. AND BRING BACK DAVID!!!
Please do more songs from them, they are absolutely amazing. Tower of pain, Debts of the soul and Oblivion are my favourite and I higly suggest them. Thank you :D
Oh, you gotta check out their song 'Oblivion'. It's genuinely amazing. Well, I watched until the end too. Really enjoyed your chemistry and conversation. Keep it up and bring him back!
Thanks for another great video! You two are hilarious together. Great way of looking at the genre and great message as always. The AK part was by far the funniest 🤣. God bless y’all
1. Check out Herods Demise by In The Midst of Lions, great Christian deathcore band. 2. FFAK are phenomenal, especially live. This song speaks to me because I am diagnosed with severe bipolar, ptsd, anxious distress, and severe depression. The lyrics hit hard in truth of the feeling.
I know I've requested them before, but Phinehas, man... The best Christian metalcore band out there in my opinion. Of all the Christian metalcore bands I listen to, Phinehas are the ones who've done the most in helping me become more spiritual and closer to God. The current guitarist in Fit for a King is the guitarist for Phinehas, and he's THE sickest guitarist in the game. "Hell Below," "Know Death; Know Forever," "I Am the Lion," "Wishing Well," "Forever West," or my fav, "Burning Bright." I'd be so excited to see you react to any of those.
We actually did a reaction the Phinehas for our Patreon. Can’t remember the name of the song but we did a double reaction to an acoustic version and the heavy album version. It’s still on our Patreon page. Link in the description.
Thanks for the reply, Pastor Rob. Love the videos, and I'll definitely be subscribing to your patreon! Just need to make an account lol. I see the song was Crowns. Hopefully you'll revisit them!
This is my favorite song by them. There music is great. From kirby's vocal range to there meaningful lyrics one of my favorite bands. PS. Id love to go shoot some in the name of the lord lol (safely of course). That's one of my favorite hobbies.
Skin & Bones is a very soft, almost contemporary worship style, song that's really awesome by them. It's sung by the bassist. Oblivion is a metalcore song by them that has a very spiritual message. It's cool to see you reacting to and talking about Fit For a King! Edit: the conversation at the end was hilarious! 😂. Bring David back!
Fit for a King is such a stellar band. Theres a lesser known band that is heavily underrated but have sick breakdowns, deep lyrics and clean vocals. I'd like to see a reaction to: If I Were You - Faithless
You can do a lyric analysis on any of the Facedown Records bands across the board. It seems you have been doing a lot of this labels bands, so please continue. I do have a couple of favorites from this label but the one that sticks out the most is The Burial: En Hakkore!!
Definitely check out the entire Dark Skies album. Oblivion is the one here he talks a lot about God and I think it's about his relationship with God. Also Breaking The Mirror is a great one. It's their newest track, they have a new record coming out this year
Great content, great discussion, stayed to the end as always. I love FFAK, their music really gets me going when I'm running. Then again, it is honestly impossible to sit still while listening to metalcore.
Pastor Rob, please review Lacey Sturm, she has an amazing story of salvation. She was the first lead singer in Flyleaf, left to have children and sung for Billy Graham and now is back solo...she has a unique voice and a good backing band
I watched to the end, always do. I enjoyed the fun yall were having. I thought this one was better than the last. It had more thought provoking content.
Please listen to "in the garden of gethsemane" by this divided word. Amazing Christian brutal deathcore band. Analyzing the lyrics would be really interesting they give much to talk about
You should do the song Rot by Lacey Strum (former lead singer of Flyleaf), but also include Vanity because while it isn't a song, it leads directly into Rot.
This is one of my favorites. Personally, I see this song about being in a spiritual warfare within us. Try and also check out Returning His Crown, Memphis May Fire, Impending Doom, Taking The Head of Goliath. Thank you, Pastor Rob. ♥️
God bless!
It was fun to see you having fun too. :-D
React to freezing moon by mayhem dead on vocals
Could you please react to Youth/Division by Fit For a King next? Or maybe their song When Everything Means Nothing?
PLEASE REACT TO SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL DEMOLISHER
Seriously, the more fit for a king, the better. Just keep going back to them lol
Ya, what he said
Yeah, definitely
Seconded
Amen brother 💪🏼
Let's just start from descendants and go forward! Lol
A very appropriate shirt. Reminds me of FFAK's deathgrip album.
Was thinking the same thing. I thought it was bit just a different design. X 😊🙌
Great metalheads think alike😂😂😂
It makes me so happy when Pastor Rob gets excited for the breakdown
EthanGallardoVA but sad that his friend is very obviously hating every moment of it hahah
Please do Oblivion next! It shows their more faith-based side.
Also, I watched till the end. Really enjoyed your discussion 😁
Yes, please do Oblivion! With music video!
I love Fit for a King! God bless you guys! Hope you’re all doing well! 💙

"The Summit" is a beautiful tear-jerking ballad. All their stuff is excellent, they are so underrated.
Glad you finally got around to FFAK! They're the best metalcore in the business right now in my opinion. Watched to the end too btw!
Fit For A King!! I just recently "discovered" them about a month ago, maybe. I highly recommend "The Price of Agony," "Selfish Eyes," "When Everything Means Nothing," "Forever Unbroken," I could go on. They have so many great songs. Hope you and your family are doing well!
all of those are great songs.
All of them are awesome, right
When everything means nothing is SO AMAZING, THOSE RIFFS
listen to Impostor and Descendants!
Descendants have one of the most Badass Bass Sound!
Please, we need a Phinehas reaction for Hell Below or I Am The Lion!!!
Jason LovesABR or Fleshkiller
Deepest of graves
I was about to suggest Phinehas as well; I think I Am The Lion is a must, My Horses Are Many would be a fun reaction as well
Phinehas all the way
Shekinah is so good too
Pastor Rob is definitely a true metalhead. Dude knows when a breakdown is coming and reacts accordingly
Thanks for this reaction. This is by far my favorite metalcore band.
I'd love to see you react to Lacey Sturm's new song the decree or really any song of hers would be awesome
She's amazing, even her worship album called Reflect love back is amazing
Yessssss one of my favorite albums along with WATG and Oh,Sleeper albums in 2019 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This song hits really deep for me personally. I struggle with ptsd, depression, and extreme intrusive thoughts. My demons will kill me if I listen to them, and music helps me escape. FFAK are one of the best bands in metalcore. Check out the live versions of “God of Fire” from there upcoming album. “ Shattered Glass” has helped me through severe depression.
I love Robert's reactions! I would love to sit in a room with him and introduce him to songs he's never heard and watch him react to each of them.
One thing that "SILENCE" shivers every time, that's what I love about FFAK. Love your page too awesome fr!!
A fantastic band called The Great Commission once said at a live show "God doesn't hear what comes out of our amps. God is listening to our hearts. This is how we choose to worship." Relates incredibly to the Psalm passage. Love these vids!
Ryan Kirby's devotional is a inspiration to Collapse//Revive and a great contribution
Fit For a King is my favorite band nowadays. Their clear a precise message of Faith in Christ is so bold and powerful!!
I always watch to the end.. bring David back. I was in tears because I have been praying for confirmation of writing styles, unsure if God really wanted me to scream sing as I try to proclaim His Word. I now have the confirmation. I'm so happy you guys are having fun...God is good
Thank you for reviewing this song I have seen Fit For A King three times and have been blown away by them every single time. God bless brother
Fit for a King puts on one of the best shows. It was the best show I have ever been to in my life. I LOVE these guys!
Please react to “Thoughts and Prayers” by Motionless in white! it’s a super heavy song but want to know your opinions.
Definitely would love to hear what they have to say about the lyrics!
Chstp this
You know what they will say
I wanna see them react to The Immaculate Misconception
Heavy in what way? Heavy in lyrical meaning possibly, heavy in vocals and instrumentals not so much…
I watched to the end and as a christian metal musician I found your words encouraging. Thanks!
Love fit for a king their beliefs and music are amazing love that they stay strong through everything
One of my all time favorite metal bands! I have got to know the guys in the band a little over the last 5 years and they are awesome people with big hearts!

Fit for a King has a brutal sound, i love those guys!!
I watch all videos to the end.. keep it up Pastor Rob, great show again.. bring David back !

React to For All Eternity - Derailed or The Vacated or react to The Devil Wears Prada
Phinehas great metal core band, some say one of the best. Tetalestia great song or more than just a man
I have seen them 9 times my all time favorite!!! Tower of pain is amazing
“Can’t fine the cure for something no one can see” I interpreted that as trying to fight sin and sin consumes us all and you can’t see sin

"Breaking the mirror" is another really good song by this band. I would highly recommend it!
"Oops I did it again" on the battlefield that had me dying lol
Watched to the end... Bring David back. 🤘 Keep up the good work, love these videos.
I definitely watched this far!!!!! keep it up!!!!
Bring David back :) You guys are absolutely adorable together
I stayed to the end. Alwats entertaining and educational! Good job fellas
Fit for a King is such a stellar band. Theres a lesser known band that is heavily underrated but have sick breakdowns, deep lyrics and clean vocals. I'd like to see a reaction to: If I Were You - Faithless
Stayed for the video, not a subscriber (yet!), I love Fit For A King! Definitely do more.
You can do a lyric analysis on any of the Facedown Records bands across the board. It seems you have been doing a lot of this labels bands, so please continue. I do have a couple of favorites from this label but the one that sticks out the most is The Burial: En Hakkore!!
Bring David back! We need to broaden his horizons!
I’ve grown to love metalcore. Something I never thought about when I started the channel. Thanks for watching all the way through!
Awesome stuff as usual. Keep doing what you are doing.
Pastor Rob, please review Lacey Sturm, she has an amazing story of salvation. She was the first lead singer in Flyleaf, left to have children and sung for Billy Graham and now is back solo...she has a unique voice and a good backing band
Yes, I watched to the end...lol. 😉 Keep doing what you do! 🎶🤘💕🙏🙌
I watched to the end, always do. I enjoyed the fun yall were having. I thought this one was better than the last. It had more thought provoking content.
Please listen to "in the garden of gethsemane" by this divided word. Amazing Christian brutal deathcore band. Analyzing the lyrics would be really interesting they give much to talk about
I watched to the end.
Stay inspired.
Awesome! And this was an especially long episode too. Thank you!
