Literally, this movie hasn't even come out yet. You can't rightfully critique it. The premise of scar being not away being evil and taking mufasa in as his brother an all that isa good one. At least-- I like the idea.

Clients have every right to have every opinion on a product whether you like it or not. And they have the right to judge movies based on the advertisements that are put out. Because advertisements are made to elicit a judgement
People have the right to story quality, that means that stories ought to make sense in the context that they provide. With this product Disney‘s contradicting itself and if you people can’t handle that then please go and touch grass.

It's the usual Disney retcon nonsense. Mufasa had a beautiful family and was the indisputed King of the Jungle. Now they want to rewrite all that.
I’m hoping they’ll tie all of it in somehow they never said Mufasa grew up with a family just that he had one when we met him. I say this as someone who LOVES the original lion king and seen it a thousand times. I understand the hesitancy, but I’m hopeful that it’ll make sense. They never said that he and Scar were biologically related, but it could sense if growing up they’re the only brother the other had…
In real life, lion pride is never handed to their sons, young lions will be exiled and had to conquer their own pride.

All lions are born with prides, unless their born in captivity, however I doubt their including humans in this.
There are lone lionesses that have no prides, though they are not many and soon make a pride of their own with their daughters

@@Hlord-be4xx they are born without a pride. Look up the story of maditau mother of lions or the story of Tamu from big cat diaries, a couple of lionesses that have hand to raise cubs alone without a pride.

It's not even live action that's what's funny. If this movie were live action, it would actually use lions which, obviously, you can't do. This is just hyper realistic animation that they're trying to say is live action.

I love how, if Scar was “a hopeful prince with a bright future” (description of the trailer on the Disney YT channel), that 100% makes Mufasa the villain. He ruined Scar’s life. No wonder Scar hates him!

It would be significantly better if they animated it like the original to pay respect to where this all came from. However, I will give them credit that they actually added more emotion it seems to these characters than they did in the 3D animated Lion King. It’s not perfect but I’ll take it over the soulless mess we got prior. Some of the visuals are quite beautiful as well.

Wtf man they just change up the whole background,, Ahadi is the king of the Pride Lands in A Tale of Two Brothers. He is the father of Mufasa and Taka. He is also the paternal grandfather of Simba, and the great-grandfather of Kiara and Kion.
My favorite part is when he says "it's Mufasaing time!" and starts Mufasing all over the place.

Hey, I got a theory: If Mufasa was born without a pride, then that means he and Scar aren't really brothers. This means, Scar could be Nala's father, and they wouldn't have to explain Simba either marrying his sister or his cousin, because Scar and Mufasa are probable going to be adapted brothers. Or, they might pull a "Oh, your Mufasa? Your our long lost cub, welcome home! Thats your little brother Scar, you can take his place as future king! We see no problems with this what so ever!"
Not really, we have some spoilers. Mufasa was a orphan cub and was on his own for most of his childhood until he was adopted by "Taka's" family who was a royal family of lions. You should be able to see how this plays out.

I do see how it plays out now, but at the time this was the only trailer I had seen. But my first point still remains about Nala and Simba not being blood relatives. The second point was more of a joke.
