I love this story, especially, bc she wasn't fit as a teen /girl. A lot of the time, in these stories pple had a time, they were fit and can re-relate to. Really starting off at 0 is even more challenging.

@@skinney9542 I've just been sticking to 1300 cals a day and making sure I burn double logging on my fitbit. Exercising at home obviously as in lockdown started with 10 mins a day now I do an hour a day 6 days a week. Squats and weights followed you tube work out videos. Use exercise bike and cross trainer. Ive been walking faster when I do go out too. Ive just been consistent and not given up this time! Losing 1-2lbs a week. My waist has gone from 35 inches to 28inches...my thighs from 28inches to 23inchs! I'm super thrilled and it's just because I've focused and not had any cheat days at all I've eaten what I want just within the calories!!!

    • @skinney9542
      @skinney9542 4 года назад +3

That is really fantastic Emma well done!! 🙌💪 Strangely I'm very motivated at the minute too! I've been doing 15 mins of exercises a day (mostly core and arms- I need to add in some leg work!) And 15 mins of Yoga trapeze a day so 30 minutes minimum and I do more if I feel like it and I feel great!!! I've been doing that for just 6 days and to be honest started noticing a difference after 3 days. I've also been strictly eating during an 8 hour window daily (12-8pm) choosing healthier options and cut out sugary stuff but still allow myself a little as a treat. But I find I don't even crave sugar as much now anyway! I also started taking 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice in a glass of warm water in the mornings and drinking green matcha tea twice a day which is supposed to be great for weight loss!! I've been keeping a food diary and logging my exercise and how I felt that day as in Mood out of 10, Energy level out of 10 and Motivation to exercise out of 10 so I can reflect and see which foods work best for my energy levels and how that's connects to my motivation to exercise that day etc! And what I eat is connected to my mood and is the most important to me because if I'm depressed then I don't feel like doing anything which just starts that torturous vicious cycle again. Wow! Can you tell I've so much time on my hands - because I'm off work due to coronavirus?! 😂 Today is day 7 and I'm feeling clear headed, motivated and find myself actually looking forward to the exercise workouts and what good food I will eat today 😂☺️

I tried typing my comment but ended crying instead.
I always wanted to look my age. I'm 19. For the longest time, my weight has held me back in many ways. My confidence has dwindled and for most of my life I've been on the heavier side. I thought I could eat healthy and exercise but I always end up giving up.
I'm scared because I've failed too many times. I feel like I'll never see myself the way I want to be seen. I'm hoping that things will get better and I just have to stay strong in my journey. Your video was so inspirational. Thank you for everything.
4/27/20 Edit: I just want to thank everyone for replying to my post. It’s been a year and a lot has changed. I had lost 30 pounds after I wrote this post but unfortunatel after quitting my job and balancing college I slowly gained it back plus more. A lot of high stress events and depression caused me to stop taking proper care of myself as to working out!
It took me a year to realize that even before college and getting a job. I was suffering from an restrictive eating habits and binging. Luckily, I am getting the help I need and I trying to fall in love with myself and truly take care of my body from all phases as it is. I am tryin go to live a more active lifestyle and try to get to a healthier weight at my age!
Yes, some days it bugs that I am not where I wanted to be but I know now that this Is a journey and not a race! Thank you to everyone who left me helpful advice and love. I read your comments and was in shock that so many people could relate and just wanted to help me. I am so grateful!

@@Ephesians5-14 Now being 50 I have changed my exercises to accommodate my age. I don't as much cardio but like to add it in some routines. I use 8 pound weights any heavier tends to bother my neck and shoulders. I do 30 reps of most exercises . First one is squats with an over head press, I use that one in a lot of my regiments. Lunges front and back , military presses and bicep curls, then I hit the floor for abs . If you look up on RUclips you can find a variety of exercises to do. Good luck. I also eat more protein and veggies than carbs. But luckily I have a job where I am on my feet all day. I am in healthcare and these days we keep moving a lot. Good luck

There’s something about your spirit that just reminds me to be genuine and true to yourself, to be forgiving of yourself, and push yourself kindly. Because we can all be better, but you have to allow yourself to mess up, accept that, and be the better person you want to be. You’re such a strong woman and an inspiration, and that goes past working out. It really shines in this video, and perhaps your lifestyle change allowed your true spirit to shine through. I know that it goes away. Food addiction is different though, because you have to eat BUT you don't have to eat all the processed extra addictive crap or go back for 2nds and 3rds. Everytime that I tell myself “I’m gonna work out today” and I end up not working out, I feel worse and worse about myself. I am currently at 250. I lost a significant amount of weight a few years ago (320 to 180) but then gained a lot back. I have now 84lbs to lose to get to my goal weight of 160. But what I loved about your story is that you did it and failed. You did it again, failed again and then eventually you got your stride. Thank you so much for posting your story. It give me hope to actually try and not think that I am going to fail (which then stops me from trying)

I saw this video about 4 weeks ago and i thought, "im happy for her", but i told myself that i cant do that. But the next few days i started waking up feeling happy, not for other people, not for what i could do that day, but because i jusy simply felt happy inside.
Without realizing it i had actually changed my life at that moment.
Only now that i have stumbled upon this video again and it hit me, i had completely changed how i looked at myself and others all because of this video!
Ive lost so much weight in only 4 weeks (which is a big deal to me because my weight never changed) and i didnt even realize the healthy choices i was making, it felt like it was just always part of my life and fun, not a chore.
*All those comments that stuck in my head were pushed out.*
So thank you 💜💜💜 thank you very much

Love this video! Your story is so relatable.. I also made up every excuse you could think of. Then at work we had a competition and whoever lost the most percentage of weight won, I came in second with a 19lb loss then lost another 20 on top of that afterwards. Over'a year I gained back some and then realized I have to do this, there's no other way other than exercise and eating the right foods, which my whole life was never something I did til my mid twenties. I now love working out, eating healthy foods and feel the best I ever have. Usually days off were lazy and I never wanted to do anything. I actually want to go for a run, or a hike or just something instead of being a couch potato. Absolutely inspiring :)

This is so much like my story! I never, ever thought I'd love to lift weights, but here I am!
I, too, started with The 21 Day Fix and did that program for 10 months before moving on to 21 Day Fix Extreme, ChaLEAN Extreme, and finally 80 Day Obsession.
I started out using 2 & 3lb dumbbells and am now using up to 35lbs at times.
I was 45 when I started working out and eating healthier. I wish I'd started earlier, but since I can't go back, I'll just go forward from here. 😊
The comment about going to the doctor to have your thyroid checked made me laugh out loud! I used to think that way too. And, I too, have had a hard time pushing past feelings of "I don't want to work out today" and not wanting to sweat. 😌

Thank you thank you so much for sharing your story 💜 You brought tears to my eyes. Being 36 and being someone who enjoys working out but not getting results like I use to. I actually made an appt back in March thinking I had thyroid problems. Results from my blood work came back normal. My doctor said it sounds like you have more depression and anxiety. That day when I took my first prescription of Prozac I signed up for 30 days of BOD. I followed you and many other coaches and decided to make the change. I signed up full time as a coach and have a coach and the groups. I still watch/follow your journey. But sitting here today finally getting a chance to watch your video. Amber you ROCK!! Thank you again.

Right on! It's all about having peace of mind, body and spirit! I'm 51 and I was partying like a rock star from the time I was 17 till about 35 and it was empty and I was empty and I quit! My story is different from yours though. I didn't start putting on the weight until I stopped running the bars and dancing and boating. I had a couple of health issues after I stopped partying and that's when I really put the weight on. I have lost 54 lbs. this past year and I feel great! I'm so glad you woke up and made your life right when you did. Your little boy needs a healthy mom who's mind is clear and there for him. Good luck with everything!!!! You deserve wonderful things and you have so much to be proud of!

I keep making excuses for myself, I feel like if I can't do what I was doing before there is no point. But TRULY I just have to work back up to it again and it can be slow but I need to do something rather than nothing. Your little boys words at the end were a reflection of you!!
