    Also, I think its harder for tall players to keep their centre of gravity low.
    Shorter players therefore have better balance and faster.
    So train those thighs people. My friend says that, "You play badminton with your feet, not ur hands."
    Lol

    • @ALLiaoBadmintonCoaching
      @ALLiaoBadmintonCoaching  3 года назад

      Yeah. Feet is most important. Because if can't get right position then could not be able to hit the good quality of shot

    What is the role of wrist in different shots like smash, backhand clear?

    But this carry forward movement to the net.. doesn't help you retract quickly back to the centre line, which is actually what should be the objective.. right ?

    • @alinthomas
      @alinthomas 3 года назад

      He said to land 'on heels' first instead of 'on toes'. When you land on your toes, the momentum is forward, whereas when you land on your heels you don't carry any momentum forward. So, landing on heels helps recover faster.

    • @reubenstephen1721
      @reubenstephen1721 3 года назад

      @@alinthomas in theory that is true.. but his momentum is still carrying his body.towards the net whereas a hand brake effect to shift weight to the other side to best controll the body .. maybe for example, en extended non racquet arm can counter balance that momentum, for instance.

      Stephen, your question is really good. And yes in this video what I mentioned is how not to lose the balance on the court. And instead of move back quickly. And I think I can make a video to explain how to move quickly after that. Good question.
