I've never found a double partner able to apply the offensive rotation, sadly many of my partners got the mindset stuck on one position only forgetting that it is much more efficient to rotate. The defensive stance makes me wonder about the XD situation, usually the male player got the priority for the straight reply but if the correct MD defensive stance is applied it means the lady has to cover the middle smash.
To simplify that is that as long as your partner smash at the back you will not stand at the centre all the time and a little bit behind the service line
You are right. Some player would hold higher some of them would hold lower depends how tall they are so you can see most of Europe player they would hold lower a bit as they are much taller. Good observation
