So the era of the 12th Doctor comes to an end. Twelfth Doctor is a mixture of anger, despair, devotion and pain. In the end, he was left alone. That is very sad. This Doctor is adorable. And that's how Peter plays incredibly and talented. And now, for me he became my Doctor, if I may say so. It was the 12th Doctor has become part of me.

Hi there, sorry to disturb you but I'm looking for the name of the second music in the video "without reward" and a lot of people are looking for it in the comments but the name of the music is not in the description anymore. Can you help an internet stranger in is holly quest to find it ?
By the way, I love your videos, you should be paid to make trailers
I'm not even a Whovian. This is a clean edit. Wonderfully done.
following on from what @FenHaren said, i'm looking for the first song, as it isn't linked anymore and i really like the song, any help would be great, cheers.
I consider 12 to be the final Doctor, Capaldi completed the Doctor's character arc. Eccelston's doctor dealt with guilt, Tennant focuses on the Doctor's darkness, Matt Smith's Doctor focused on running away from his problems. Capaldi's Doctor stopped and asked himself "Am I a good man?" and chose to be kind.
The last scene of the entire show should've been him looking up at the sky saying "I hoped there would be stars" after he destroyed the cybermen
13 is the start of a new series altogether, like how the 2005 continuation is often considered seperate from the Classic Series? That works.
If that stolen earth “regeneration” never counted and that crappy Christmas special never existed capaldi would have been the final doctor and the doctor falls would be an amazing final episode for doctor who
@@jeanmichellelaurent Or it could lead into Jodie's Doctor, questioning how she had another regeneration left, leading properly into the whole Timeless Children storyline. A brand new character arc.

Totally agree. While I love the previous Doctors - Capaldi's got something totally unique and different about how his Doctor is portrayed. He seems a lot more soul destroying tortured than his previous incarnations. Just brilliant. Am glad that this video highlights how good he is. Plus he gets to meet my other favourite doctor - the original you might say.
Capaldi is the best! ....I already miss him! (T-T)
There were several good episodes in the Capaldi era, but the quality declined by the end.
I think there were too many resolutions that didn't make sense, plot holes, build ups that amounted to a final disappointment. All fault of the writers, not Capaldi.
By the end of his last series, I just stopped caring about the absurdity of the story and just enjoyed the performances of Capaldi, Makey, Gomez, Simms and Lucas. All of them brought their A game to the last two episodes.
One scene missing from this great compilation, when the Doctor yells and stops the regeneration burring his hands in the snow, I got chills. All the rage, frustration, rebellion sounded like a roar, almost beyond human. Capaldi acted the brains out of the script he was handed.
you put it amazingly.. he is soul clinching... he is great

I'd like to add something to this excellent comment. (I have never seen this show, but I found this video after watching House Multifandoms, I love it!) This line which finishes this brilliant vid is the culmination of my philosophy as it stands!
Everything ends, and it's always sad! But everything begins again and it's always Happy. Be HAPPY!
Everyone you have ever met will die, you will die! Does that mean that you should meet less people so that you get hurt less? ...Emphatically NO! Be happy for the time you have together, for what they pass on to you, which you can then pass on! Do not be fixated on negatives to YOUR detriment, if you are weak you cannot serve anyone! If you are aware of severe detriment to your society as I am, know, things go in cycles, this will pass, good will out!!!
I should like to add more to this in the future, as in a complete dissemination of the entire vid as someone who has not seen the show, but has already interred its knowledge!

It is said in the Bible that number 13 is a symbol of all governments that a man has created and that Satan has inspired....charlie burkett MUST become 14...The number 14 represents deliverance or salvation and is used twenty-two times in the Bible. The term "14th" is found 24 times in scriptures.
The fourteenth day of the first month is the Passover, when God delivered the firstborn of Israel from death. Some 430 years earlier, on the night of the 14th day of the first month, God made two covenant promises to Abraham - one of the physical seed, Isaac, and his descendants, and one of the spiritual seed, Jesus Christ, and the sons of God who would come through Him, who would shine like the stars of heaven (Matthew 13:43). On the day portion of the 14th, God confirmed the promises with a special covenant sacrifice.
"After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, 'Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.' But Abram said, 'Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?' . . .
"And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 'This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.' Then He brought him outside and said, 'Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.' And He said to him, 'So shall your descendants be'" (Genesis 15:1 - 2, 4 - 5, NKJV).
Capaldi was never my favorite doctor... but he has EVERY ONE of my favorite Doctor Who quotes, speeches, and moments.
"Do you really think I care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference?"
here too... he maybe not one of my favorites, but he was DEFINITELY the doctor I LOVED.
I think this is reflective of Moffat's inconsistent writing, and Capaldi's incredible acting. Most of the time moffat would hand peter a mediocre script, and he'd elevate it to a pretty decent episode. But every now and then, he'd get a great line, or a great scene, or a great speech, or a great episode, and he would elevate it to being the very best in the show's entire history. I would never be caught saying that Capaldi's Era was the peak of the show, because it certainly wasn't, but I firmly believe he was the actor who portrayed the doctor the best out of all of them.
I liked Matt best but Capaldi had the best quotes
@@simonkapadia7582 @simonkapadia7582 Looking back on Capaldi's era more, I generally concur with this. Generally. I have a few grievances, which I will outline below.
First paragraph I agree with, except that I also feel that way about series 6 as well as series 7, and that I don't fully agree on series 2, as I'll elaborate on as you bring it up more.
2nd paragraph I agree with pretty much entirely. My issue with Moffat's era usually doesn't come from moffat's episodes as much as from his other writers. I do also like Hell Bent quite a lot, despite a few choice moments I despise. I've never really liked any of his christmas specials besides Husbands of River Song, personally (though Twice Upon a Time has its great moments, it is a really messy script, and the other two just aren't very good imo). Still, everything else there I agree with entirely.
I agree with your third paragraph to the letter. When I talk above about moffat handing peter scripts that are kind of mediocre, I'm referring to him due to his role as the showrunner, not because his episodes are the mediocre ones.
I actually agree with this honestly, as far as series 9 and 10 are concerned. Each one only really has 1 bad episode and a couple of mediocre ones. They're in my top 3 series of NuWho for a reason. Series 8 though, that's a different beast. 5 really strong stories, 4 okay stories, and 4 stories I feel are actively badly written (robot of sherwood, caretaker, kill the moon, and forest of the night). 8's writing is wonky and inconsistent enough that it clouds my memory of the whole era and makes me feel as if his writing quality was always really inconsistent.
Love and Monsters and Fear Her are both overhated. Love and Monsters is mediocre, and so is Fear Her. I honestly believe New Earth and especially the Idiot's Lantern are the two actual weakest episodes of series 2, and that people must just skip over the two more panned ones in rewatches because they just know they're bad. Go and rewatch love and monsters, it is just mediocre, it's not the shitshow people say it is. Series 2, much like series 8, has high highs and low lows.
Kill the Moon is not just terrible for the premise or the resolution, but for its theming, messaging and allegory as it relates to abortion, which are all handled really poorly and botched throughout the story. It's valuable for 12's arc but its other qualities are just abysmal.
Also, I agree that 7a is worse than 7b. What a nice pair of controversial cookies we are.
It took me until today. With the same tears in my eyes. To realize that the twelfth doctor is literally just the older version of the tenth doctor living through his sins and his regrets. The 11th doctor was just hiding from what was coming, a youthful escape. But Tenant and Capaldi played the same version at different ages. And it makes everything especially the love story with River so much more amazing.
Dustub Friesen -- Thanks for that insightful comment. I hadn't thought of the two of them that way before.
That’s how I looked at them. 12 an older version of 10. He couldn’t be further yet closer than what he was.
the universe shows it's true face when it's asking for help and we show ours by how we respond ... love that line so much
It's a very interesting line -- because what the universe asks from us is the one thing it doesn't have on its own: and that's *kindness*. It's *our* job to supply the kindness that makes life bearable and worth while.
Reminds me of someone I know. He never asks for help, even though I always offer it, and when I ask for help, he refuses. It's a cold, lonely universe he lives in, and I think it's sad.
Capaldis run had a number of great lines that really lay out what I think are great goals to set for how to try to live your life. That’s one of them for sure. What you do when presented with a request for help shows so much about who you are as a person
Why do you think people love stories about the chosen one? Or why do some people even idolize superheros. Or even why do people looove WWE superstars? The need for a hero is installed within our souls. And writers, comic book artists, directors have exploited that need for profit. Their is nothing wrong with loving them thou.. But i tell you😭 their is a Real hero who installed that need in your soul in the first place. Jesus christ left his throne in heaven and came to the world he taught he healed people then he was humbled betrayed humiliated killed and on the third day he rose from the dead. As God's sacrifice for our sins. If you humbly honestly pray repent for all your sins(read the10 commandments) and believe/trust that Jesus did all that for you ..You will be saved..Jesus saves you from hell fire🔥.. and gives you eternal life in heaven. This might be the last time you read the gospel..he is coming back soon not as the sacrificed lamb of God🐑 but as the king of the universe🤴 with fire in his eyes🔥. the Judge of all mankind. One my favourite doctor who quotes :
Winning? Is that what you think it’s about? I’m not trying to win. I’m not doing this because I want to beat someone, or because I hate someone, or because I want to blame someone. It’s not because it’s fun. God knows it’s not because it’s easy. It’s not even because it works because it hardly ever does. I do what I do because it’s right! Because it’s decent! And above all, it’s kind. It’s just that. Just kind. If I run away today, good people will die. If I stand and fight, some of them might live. Maybe not many, maybe not for long. Hey, you know, maybe there’s no point in any of this at all, but it’s the best I can do. So I’m going to do it. And I will stand here, doing it, till it kills me. You’re going to die too. Someday. How will that be? Have you thought about it? What would you die for? Who I am is where I stand. Where I stand is where I fall. Stand with me. These people are terrified. Maybe we can help a little. Why not, just at the end, just be kind?”

When I tell people the 12th Doctor is my favorite, people often think that I should like 10 or 11 over 12. I think what makes 12 stand out more than the other Doctors is because there is one controlling idea that echoes throughout Capaldi's era as the Doctor. One of his first questions he asks Clara was if he was a "good man" and that is what drives him to do everything he does. When its his time to change, he refuses to because he is not ready, He is not done yet. He still has to find out the answer to his most feared question, if he is a good man. And that is why I think the 12th doctor is the best. Because no matter how horrible or great he seems, he is always trying to be a good man
I love 10, his my Doctor. But I had no problem imagining DW ending with no.12. It would have left a sweet taste.
The man who regrets, the man who forgets and the man who tries to remember.
And always doubting the answer -- as really good people tend to do. The bad guys never doubt themselves.
I think he, above the others, really embodies what Amy said about him. What if you were really old and all alone...and it just made you kind.
I love all four.
Since the "good man" question, 12 is always searching for what defines him. When he says "who I am is where I stand, where I stand is where I fall" he finally finds out what it is: he is defined by how much he is willing to sacrifice for the things he stands for. That's brilliant, that's why he's addicted by distress calls and that's also what makes him an "idiot". As Dostoevskij (author of "The Idiot") said "if a man always do anything with good intentions, then he must definitely be an idiot". I also love how he fights his own regeneration, and everybody can get his own interpretation about this, personally I think his sense of duty is so strong that he'd rather to die in the most painful way than let anybody else (the new Doctor in this case) "have to live like this, [...] feel this pain". Everything he does is a sacrifice for someone else, that's why he finds so hard to regenerate, it's against his own nature. In his last episode he thinks he has to face some evil plan but then he finds out that's no evil plan, because it's the episode when he must win against his own nature, and finally he can let his guard down for once
👏👏👏
Brilliant.
Wow...👏👏👏

Interesting. 10th used to be my Doctor. Then the 11th. And now the 12th. What I initially liked about the 12th Doctor was that he was the hero who didn’t give a damn about being nice. His priority was to save lives. I found it oddly refreshing after the last two Doctors. But, over time, I realize that the Doctor was more vulnerable than he appeared. He went to hell and back again for the sake of Clara. He jeopardized the whole of time to save her from her fate. He exposed the depth of his pain and guilt to an alien enemy to keep them from crossing a major line. He fought tooth and nail to keep himself from regenerating again out of fear. Those moments made me see something special in this Doctor that I haven't seen in any other before. I'll miss him, his fiery temper, his sarcastic comments, and his stubbornness in the face of adversity. And, based on this video, I see that you feel the same.

It's just a shame that he didn't have writing as consistently good as Tennant's stint. Tbh the same is true for Matt Smith, and Jodie Whittaker. They all where as capable to be as good as Tennant, in each of their own ways. They were just let down by the writing with increasing frequency.

Peters Dr had a lot of depth in his stories, probably why it wasn't appreciated by a lot of people.. they just didn't understand.
I think like you. Capaldi's Doctor is so complex, deep, and beautiful... . When you stop watching and begin to see him he becomes THE DOCTOR.
Sometimes ratings means nothing.
I totally agree his doctor was definitely the most woke. His whole era was a character study not just of this incarnation but the doctor in general.
@@jamalsygrove2625 the most woke
🤮
Sorry 😂
He definitely was my favourite doctor... For me, I see the Greatest Physician shine through him, Jesus
@@jamalsygrove2625 Jamal, if by "woke" you mean the basic political definition, "Sensitive to injustice", then yep, Capaldi's Doctor is angry and cynical sometimes precisely *because* he's sensitive to injustice, and there is so damned *much* of it in the universe to be sensitive to. You can make your gestures, respond with everything you've got -- and you can still only make a contained difference that's vulnerable to the passage of time (and, of course, to script-writers' imaginations and need for plot-drivers). That's enough to make anyone angry and cynical, and the Doctor's continued resurgences of hope and sweetness are a great part of what made Capaldi's portrayal so powerful: that's what life is like, for humans and for a Time-hobo with an adventurous streak.

he clearly has not read the Doctor's history the doctor pulls off the impossible like most people pull of eating a meal🤣🤣🤣
Okay, I'm crying so I need to write something. Before 12th, I was a huge fan of the 10th. It's probably because he was the most human one and freaking David Tennant am I right? When Matt came, he was the goofy one which I really liked it. However, this one, the 12th, god damnit, the 12th destroyed me. I thought I wouldn't like him. But the way he presents the Doctor, it was something else. This time, I felt his dark perfection but at the same time I saw his tiredness, too. We suddenly felt the heaviness of this long long life of his. The way he hides his emotions with his anger, but also the way he cares for others... He's dark and unexpectedly vulnerable... I don't know where I am going with this but I guess I just want to say, he was one the greatest and we will never forget him. By the way, amazing job. Thank you though I'm still sobbing.
Thank you!
Tenth is still my favorite for the same reason. He was filled with vest and compassion. He made you fill everything. Capaldi was like that too. He really REALLY brings the character to life.

“Just see me.”
No matter what, that line will always be my favourite of Twelves.
Isn't it a basic "line" for each and every one of us, at some critical stage of our lives? And isn't it immensely powerful to see it delivered so beautifully by an alien being carrying millennia of experience on his back wherever he goes? In that respect, he's us. "Just -- see me." [Me, not just my foibles, my failures, my weaknesses, my errors, my fears and my pretensions -- see past all that, see through it, and see . . . me, as I am.] That is one Hell of an appeal, from one Hell of a character, delivered by one holy Hell of an actor.

One of things I absolutely love about Peter is the way he can portray the tortured soul of the Doctor. He has been alive for thousands of years,
has fought terrible wars, lost almost everyone and everything he loves. The idea of a troubled Doctor, exploring the moral dilemma of whether
he is a good man, while being terrified of the answer, seems more in line with a being who has lived that long. His decisions, his speeches and his moments of happiness and silliness all feel far more meaningful when told in the context of an old but powerful being who has lost more than anyone. That also gives much more depth and meaning to his relationship with Clara, his connection to the ordinary, his hope for redemption.

I get so happy and emotional when I see videos like this a lot people stopped watching when Matt left and peters doctor gets so much hate from the fandom and from BBC ( bad promotion and little merch) and it always breaks my heart because peter loves the show so much and he's been absolutely fantastic playing one of his childhood heroes so vids like this that show people love 12 just as much as 11 and 10 are gift
I don't think it was that bad, really; when Capaldi started his run as 12, a lot of people I can only image as teeny-boppers, who'd been mooning over Tennant and/or Smith got angry that they weren't handed another cute young guy they could moon over, too, so they whined and screamed that Capaldi was "old" and "ugly" and "mean". But all that adolescent nonsense faded away into silence pretty soon, and the fans invested in gurning over Peter began to repeat what even die-hard Tennant fans were saying: not that Capaldi was "bad", but that he was actually pretty good (or okay, or really doing a great job), but Moffat's *writing* was the problem. They stopped moaning about Capaldi not being Smith or Tennant, and began snarling the Moffat was a bad writer.
Now, Moffat is a mercurial writer, sometimes brilliant, sometimes getting tangled up in his own feet plot-wise; but a "bad writer"? Wow, gimme a break. I'm a pretty good writer (12 books in print, a Hugo on my shelf and a one of those other ones -- very pointy and phallic -- plus a couple more awards here and there). And Moffat was a gift from the gods -- and, typical of the damned gods, he had very good work, and loopy-bad work to offer (most of "Sherlock" was just nuts). But pretty soon it seemed that everyone came to recognize what a find Capaldi was; and that esteem holds, I think, to this day.
If we get someone really, really good coming in with Russell T Davis, then we can maybe start reckoning Capaldi's work from firm ground; but at the moment, I think almost everyone understands that Capaldi gave it everything he had, and what he had was excellent.

Peter's Doctor had so much depth in his stories, honestly it's a shame that they are not appreciated. I think that people just didn't understand those truly amazing episodes.
When i say that 12 is my favourite Doctor, people usually do not believe me. Almost all of them think that my favourite Doctor must be 10 or 11.
Twelve is my absolute fave for many reasons but one and the most important of them is the «Am I a good man?» question. The way 12 was figuring out whether he does what is right, what he would sacrifice for the people he loves, whether he is a good man is truly amazing and outstanding.
There's sth unique and incredibly beautiful about Twelve Doctor which I can't put in words. Thank you Margarita for making me falling in love with my favourite character one more time!
I’m here because people are FINALLY appreciating Capaldi and I found this comment.
Don’t feel bad, I think 10 and 11 are overrated as hell as an old Who fan who felt like I FINALLY got my old Doctor’s depth and intensity and FULLNESS back once Capaldi got the role 💗

This video shows just how amazing and wonderful Peter has been as the Doctor. He started off a grumpy old man and became the most emotional and caring Doctor. I will miss him and the gravitas he had on screen, it has been a joy watching him and will always remember when the doctor was him
Peter Capaldi is brilliant as the Doctor, a traditional Doctor that displays more of the classic character traits of the Doctor from the original series just how he should be, rather than the 'boyfriend' types of recent years many have probably only been used to. Peter has definitely been the best of the new bunch. He echoes the mysterious alien characteristics of the Doctor we all grew up with in the 1960s and 70s or caught up through DVDs and he absolutely nails the character to the core.
I will truly be sorry to see him finally go come Christmastime.
Thank you, Peter and bless you. [manly hugs... sod it, loving, holding hugs!]
Just stopping in to watch this for the 100th time and think about how much I miss Capaldi
I fell in love with Capaldi's Doctor the instant he popped up on the screen. For me, he is THE Doctor. The perfect embodiment of the character: he had the wisdom, the trickster, the age, the rage, and the compassion that defines the Doctor for me. He felt both very alien, yet very much human at the same time.
Well spoken Nathan!
the twelfth doctor will always be remembered as the most inspirational doctor
I thought no one could make me cry like 10, and I thought no one could make me laugh like 11, then Peter came along.
"How long did he wait tell me... We guess it was 4 and a half billion years, he could have left anytime he want if he just told us what we wanted to know."
it's time for us to become friends again
Despite some wonky stories, Peter Capaldi really rose above it all and made his mark as the Doctor. Heaven Sent was one of the best Doctor Who stories of the whole series old and new.
No disrespect to any previous actor but he is the greatest.
The "Impossible Hero", Peter Capaldi. I loved him and will miss him.. He was the embodient of the "Doctor"., with all his quirks and passion, HE was the best doctor of them all.

Capaldi was one of the most interesting versions of the doctor, he took some of the bravest choices in acting. In allowing his decades of acting experience shine through. The season suffered in the ratings because of the writing choices (imo) as well as the shows age demographic growing up.
Which I think is why they dealt with more mature issues.
The doctor is probably one of the most difficult roles to play from an actors point of view, all of the conflicting personality traits and alien like thinking whilst still being human like, but almost every actor that gets this role plays it perfectly, Peter really brought out all of those things and highlighted his vulnerability
Peter Capaldi was perfect for the Doctor..

I miss Capaldi's Doctor so much. He isn't just an actor playing the Doctor, he is the Doctor. Tennant's incarnation used to be my favourite but Capaldi's is just magnificent.
Seeing the current state of the show sometimes makes me a little sad. Even though there were some writing issues in previous era's, the worst episodes from back then are better than the best current episodes. Whittaker has potential to be a decent Doctor, but will never be better than Capaldi.
The big problem with Whittaker is they focused to much on the fact it is a Woman Doctor instead of telling the story of The Doctor who is now a woman. The difference being the second would tell us why the Doctor is now a woman? What did he need to learn that required him becoming a woman? Much like how when The Doctor became older when Capaldi took over there was focus on that fact and that his regenerations were trying to teach him something through it which made for a great character arc.
@@michaeldaniels642 Exactly. The storyline with Missy didn't need to entifely focus on the fact that she was a woman because it focused on the arc between the Doctor and the Master. It focused on her redemption and her friendship, not the fact that she was a her.

Or rather, why did 12 make me cry because, s much as I loved 10 and 11 especially (and the fantastic acting of David and Matt), no departure has moved me to tears as much as this one. I didn't like 12 in the beginning but I slowly fell in love with him as his character developed and a lot of that is attributed to the powerful and emotional way Peter portrayed him, as seen here. Great video, well done.

I said it once I'll say it again: Peter Capaldi is not only my favorite doctor but the best doctor the show has ever had! Capaldi was able to bring so much heart and emotion to the role not only from his speeches but just his facial expressions as well. Peter was also able to incorporate all the doctors before him from Hartnell to Matt Smith all while still making it his own. Along with 12 having the best character development of any doctor!
My most favorite doctor. As a man mr Capaldi is lovable, decent, modest, kind, funny and quite intelligent and extremely interesting. As an actor.. powerful. A somewhat fragile-built man, with an imposing presence, and a booming voice which can either calm you, or obliterate you- or both, at the same time. When it comes to emotional scenes, he is breath taking. When he threatens.. to me, he is the most threatening actors out there.. To me, nobody else, no other doctor come even close to him as both talent and raw charisma..

He is not human, yet much more human than anyone realizes. It is his job to stop the monsters, absorb the pain, live the sorrow, save those that deserve saving, and so often, do it alone. "A duty of care". How simple, yet so devastating. He doesn't always succeed, but always carries on. How Peter Capaldi plays such a character, more seriously than David Tennant or Matt Smith, is why he will go down as the best Doctor of the modern era. The performances he gives in "Face the Raven", "Heaven Sent" and "Hell Bent" are about as good as it gets. In the instant Clara dies, he knows he has failed and must save her, tries to do it by the rules, then shreds the rules and betrays himself and all he stands for to eventually save her. But he cannot keep her, that's his punishment, and her last message until his end tells him to carry on. And he fails again with Bill, but is forgiven, then makes a wrong right by helping the first Doctor save himself. He gets Clara back and finally lets the Doctor go with words that ring true. It was an ending in more ways than one: a new and radically different "Doctor Who" was created to follow Capaldi's work, and is struggling to find it's way, much like 1963 and 2005.
Jesus loves you❤

That's why I love Peter so much. Don't get me wrong, every Doctor was good in his (or her) own way, but THIS Doctor, Peters Doctor, totally move my heart and soul.
This really shows how good the 12th Doctor was at showing lifetimes upon lifetimes of pain. It's honestly hard to watch.
This is the reason why Twelve is MY Doctor
OMG! It's just stunning! I love Peter and his Twelve.
On the beginning I hated him. I thought he will be different because he is older.
I thought he never made me feel emotional or made me feel fall in love but I was wrong. He's my best Doctor after all this time. Thank you for this video, I cried because he's leaving and I am not ready for this, I confess.
What age are you that you thought you'd hate an older Doctor? I'm an old Whovian (been watching since Classic times), and loved him so much more than the younger Doctors right away. So, of course, it'll go right back to some youngster, because we're so youth-obsessed and an ancient alien can't be played by an older actor without everyone having fits.
+RSH Norville I haven't seen much of classic who (mainly because I can't) but it's still ridiculous how some people just think an old Doctor is bad. It's not like the first three incarnations were old or anything. And the Doctor is old after all. It really shouldn't matter what age the actor has
guys chill. Swan said that he likes him now. Swan was kinda like clara at the beginning, but like clara, he (im assuming hes a he) changed.
+ShadowHunter I didn't mean him. I meant people in general that think an old Doctor is bad
i see. i honestly like Capaldi.
Without hope,
Without witness,
Without reward.
I have these words tattooed on my arm. Thank you Peter.
He is one of my two absolute favourite Doctors
Great actor, great seasons...
Close secound to David (10th)
"Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place a life..."
12 is my fave doctor :') I will miss him, i just wish he had more screen time in his early episodes.
When cats go wild Sadly they made it the Clara show 😩
ikr :/
No, they didn't. It was the two-hander it was meant to be, and brilliant with it. Capaldi isn't a greedy, grabby actor: he not only knows how to share, he clearly loved sharing the screen with Jenna Coleman, and between them they made something spectacular out of those stories. Together, working *together*. Some viewers just didn't know what that meant. I hope at some point they realize what it was, and how rare, and how excellent.
My whole family stopped watching Dr.who after “The Time of the Doctor” because they all thought that Capaldi would “ruin” the show for them. About a month ago I convinced them to watch season 8 and about halfway though the first episode they all decided that Capaldi was by far the best Doctor ever... I couldn’t agree more! Thank you Peter Capaldi for being so awesome!!!
The Bible is truth. Please read at least Genesis Mathew and one book you chose yourself. The important part is combining the reading with the inner work Jesus Christ taught. Forgiveness is the thing that makes it all click. To be forgiven we must forgive. The key is our parents. They’ve loved us to some degree, feeding raising clothing, etc. we all build up grievances there. Actually dealing with those issues, and genuinely forgiving from within is what makes it all click. Seriously,
@@jamesmayle3787 what the heck does this have to do with my comment or the video?
@@jamesmayle3787 Also, no offense to you, but, i am an anti-religious, asexual, aromantic, transgender atheist... I couldn't care less what the bible or any other religion books say.
@@AuroraTheAvali3735 It's a bot. They're all over RUclips.
@@ThatFoxxoLeo seriously!?! There are bots to spread religious rhetoric now? Lovely 🙄, that's really annoying
I was disappointed when he became the doctor, but his story continued to evolve and his speeches were incredible. Now I have to say that hes one of the best Doctors and in competition of being the best.
I love him. Aside from the rock guitar, I love him. Capaldi was a perfect meld of the old and the new series Doctors, he had THE best chemistry with River Song, and he was gone too soon. Capaldi is by far my favourite new series Doctor.
I wanted him to become the Tom Baker of Nu Who. I really did. He was an amazing Doctor.
WhAt Do YoU mEaN "aside from the guitar"'?
THAT GUITAR SLAPS 🤘

Beautiful job, Margarite Life. Thank you...
You know, I've been watch the Doctor pretty continuously since #4, and #12 is the only one who brings a lump in my throat nearly every time. Gonna miss you pCap, thank you for being the Doctor.
Thank you sooo much!!! ☜♡☞
It means a lot to me!
I would say this once, and I would repeat it. Peter Capaldi is and possibly will always be the best version of the doctor in today modern time. It just sucks the writing wasn't there for him.
Yes, exactly what I have been thinking! Tennant was my favourite, but now I love Capaldi's incarnation, so now both are my favourite
The writing sucked in Season 8, but Season 9 is the best season in New Who if we don't consider season 5
Aaaaand -- the usual nonsense from the Moffat haters; what a bore. Moffat was an imperfect but brilliant writer, especially for Capaldi's Doctor. This is why people keep doing re-watches even now of the Capaldi era -- there's so much depth and power and sheer elegance in those three seasons that the blips and bloops and bobbles are basically irrelevant.
That's a legend of the malcontents; I don't take it seriously, and don't think anyone should. The writing ranged from weak to brilliant, sometimes all in one episode -- just like the rest of DW, at its best through the years.
@@jhopewell4208 Nope. Some of the most interesting stories were the ones that centered the struggles of an (at first) normal if bright human woman to deal with her growing affection for an ancient alien and his love for her, which was explicitly not sexual, so what the flaming hell WAS it anyway? Capaldi is on record as having said there would be none of that teasy, cheesey old man/young girl crap going on while HE was the Doctor (as he pointed out, he had a *daughter* roughly the same age as "Clara"); and he made it stick. Which left the two of them free to work with what a loving relationship between an ancient time traveler and a young school teacher might be like. Much more interesting, IMO, than that old-hat trope that's been epitomized in French culture (remember "Gigi"? "Bonjour, Tristesse"? Never mind, let's not). And a daring gamble. For the Clara-haters, it didn't work. Their loss.
My favorite Doctor. Hands down, bar none, full stop. I can't listen to The Shepard's Boy without tearing up.
Same here!
