If this is an e36 engine your oilpan won't fit in e30 because the "deep" part is in the back and it will hit the subframe. Take an M50 e34 oilpan because it has the deep part in the front and put it on M52, they are interchangable and it will fit perfectly. Thumbs up so Jimmy can see this before he screws up

I ordered a driveshaft carrier bearing from FCP Euro, and the part was actually manufactured wrong. I called them up, and they sent out a replacement part THAT DAY! no waiting for me to send the old one back. definitely THE place for your euro-trash car part needs!

hey jim, i work at a BMW dealership and can confirm that those valve cover gaskets get that crusty all the time. Just old age, wouldn't worry about that being from overheating.
Make sure you replace the oil line from the oil filter housing to the vanos, they go out about every 10k-20k miles. We replace them all the time at the dealer

Oil cap in front of engine... euro motor? Unless they only did that on m3 motors If u go with the g260 trans, its going to sit a bit sideways just a heads up. Also grab an e34 oil pan/dipstick
I’ve pulled a valve cover gasket off my e36 that was that hard! Also you might want to tighten that crankshaft pulley more I’ve had a friends loosen because he didn’t!

You euro boys are definitely missing out if you don’t use fcp. Jimmy isn’t lying when he said they have warranty on everything. You can legit warranty oil from on oil change.
Watching you force that alternator on ..... With alt in hand put the bolt mostly through hit bolt head with hammer it will move that slide and alt will just go right on and slide will pull tight when you tighten bolt . for sure handy when doing the alt in the car
My e46 330ci cam cover gasket went to plastic like yours but shattered when I pulled the cam cover off was such a head ache finding as many pieces of the gasket as I could

I had the polo 6n booster same as an mk2 but the mk2 booster is not enouth for track driving. Now i am upgrading to the e90 booster like pazi88 did on his channel. Same diameter as the mk2 booster but alot thicker
Dude IIRC the older, original 95-99 shattery water pumps had a DIFFERENT kind of plastic for the impeller than the one you have there. The new replacement like yours isn't *quite* as robust as like, the OE/Stewart metal impeller pumps, but it's still a lot better than the original factory ones. Edit: the 95 waterpumps with the orange plastic were the worst.

E38 oil pan also works. Use it on mine

My e36 valve cover gasket did the same took awhile to get out. Was fun to throw it and watch it shatter like glass
