I'm honestly not expecting a Nimona 2, unfortunately. This thing has gone through development hell for so long (having survived a studio being axed... by Disney) and brought back from the dead (likely by pure force of will at this point). It's gotten popular, and gotten an Oscar nomination, so I can see some people wanting a sequel just to start a Franchise, but... I'd want the original author involved as well or any further meaning could be ground into the dirt.
The credits are long because they show everyone from all the different studios and people part of making the movie.
