Phil, thank you for choosing my deck. This episode was a blast to watch 🖤🖤
Thanks for this list and sorry for missplaying all the way through 🤣
Love CEDH week, always fun to see who punts the hardest
Crim tricking Phil into activating Aminatou with Narset on board was messed up. I love it.
I don't think he was trying to trick him. It felt like he genuinely wanted to warn Phil when he realized. They were all kinda busy trying to figure out how to deal with Winota that Narset wasn't immediately being accounted for.
God I love the tune they play whenever they have to fast-forward through vast swaths of content
Mono White Ad Nauseam is perhaps the most interested I've ever been in cEDH. What an absolutely awesome deck.
Was such a cool deck! It also felt like such a Seth Against The Odds deck as well.
@@345tom funnily enough, it’s a pretty consistent deck, not that against the odd. Still sick though
Charles makes some of the sickest cEDH decks
I saw Brewer from Playing with Power pilot this Ao deck recently and it was something to behold. Super cool interactions.
Looks like a step up from Teshar/Faith's Reward style of deck, so yeah
Tomer: "I don't speak French"
Also Tomer peppering French phrases throught the rest of the video
5:30 Aggro-stax, also sometimes known by the less common name of "death and taxes".
I would love it if there was a week where are you guys made your own "CEDH" Deck. It would be quite interesting to see. I really wonder what kind of crazy builds you guys would come up with if you had to try to play to win at all costs, while still incorporating that commander clash mindset.
"I haven't ever even seen a brisket". Pure gold lmao
As a cEDH player myself I have to say I appreciate you guys being open to trying it, it’s a fun format but casual commander also has it’s perks, as for anyone who gives you guys a hard time about your punts if they can’t explain the 23 step combo with inalla and spellseeker then they need to reevaluate. Magic is the most complex game ever and cEDH takes lots of the most complex interactions and puts them into one format
nothin makes me miss richard like cedh week
Seth was 1 mana off of a turn 3 win attempt (It would've been 4 mana for Inventor's fair crack, 5 mana for Ao, 2 mana for Nim Deathmantle).
He would've had 10 total if he sacrificed his board, so close.
I’m not usually one for cedh games, just not my cup o’ tea, but that Ao deck was super spicy 👌🏻
On this week of "Punt or Bluff?" the gauntlet is cast and the knives are out! Will Phil's little girl value everyone out of the game? or will Crim's little girl sit back and watch everyone rot? Tune-in to find out!
Only because I also thought the same: I believe Nymris is actually a boy in lore ehehe
we need more Cedh weeks!
The look on Crim’s face when Tomer mentioned trying to win and not coming in second.
Feedback: I’m glad you’ve made deck intros and outros standard again.
Also appreciate keeping the games in the 1-1.5 hour range )even if it’s happenstance).
Oh sick, decks from Charles the Mono-White Guy and list from Ian from Comedian MTG
Always love to see you guys give it a try. Really good spread of decks too, very good showing for cedh!
Sous Vide is not boiling because the meat is not touching the water. It's in a bag and the water just heats it to a perfect temperature all the way through. Boiling can make things water logged while the bag prevents the water from soaking into the meat.
Demonstrates the loop. "Now can you kill me before you run out of time." lol.
MTG Goldfish CEDH is my favorite cedh to watch! I wish we can get a cedh video at least once a month!
That was a lot of fun! It's also cool to see you guys delve into the format and get better the more cEDH weeks that happen!
Cedh week is always my favorite episode
I hoped Seth would sing the A-O chorus from Cake's Mr. Mastadon Farm at the end.
i wouldn't mind CEDH being a separate weekly video series.
Phil Playing a Friends Decks LETS GO
I love seeing Crim drinking a go go squeez at the beginning
I can't wait for the mind sculptors episode about this episode XD
Hey just so you know grand abolisher actually DOESNT stop abilitys from activating from hand. so if anyone had otawara it would work to stop the combo.
As a canadian, if I were to boil brisket I would both use the broth in something else and I would bake the brisket with bbq sauce later. I'd probably boil it in a crockpot/slow cooker and leave the sous vide for the frenchies
It's fun watching the bois try to CEDH. :)
Cedh is one of my favorite ways to play, right now I'm building boros equipment deck in cedh
Wow, a quad punt.
I liked the banter over the elevator music from last episode, but good one either way
40:45 Would absolutely buy an MTGGoldfish abacus life counter.
Possible hot take: Narset *without wheels* is fair and balanced card. It arguably should have had similar wording to Ashiok, to prevent Narset-wheel shenanigans, but on its own it's fine.
Seth misreading Nim Deathmantle made me actually facepalm at work
I would buy a Goldfish brand abacus for up to $30. Do with that information what you will.
Hope to see some fun fringe cedh decks 😋
As a Winota lover, when I saw Tomer's opening hand I was like what is he doing, this hand is bad (no ramp, no fast mana of any kind) but then the disclaimer of not reading up on the deck, it made sense. Winota needs to mull aggressively to get to Winota on Turns 1-2 to apply the pressure and keep up with spell/combo based decks. Playing Winota fairly on turn 4 or afterwards is too slow and it loses what makes Winota great as an aggro deck for cEDH. Still though, this game was fun to watch. Ao Combo was sweet.
Also poor Phil, he wasn't even a factor in the game other than being a Esper sentinel fodder.
Phil prolly saved the table from Winota but unfortunately. that meant it would be Seth winning.
One thing that separates this from games played on Play To Win is that there they pay the tax to prevent card advantage WAY more often.
dude they were clearly joking about dockside int in tomers deck
Also, none of the stupid pronoun cringe shit.
@@firstandlast.1254 yikes don’t be that guy
@@aaronarmenta4237 I'm sick of the fad, ready for it to finally disappear. Spare me the indignation.
@@firstandlast.1254 big yikes not even worth trying to explain how simple it is to be a good person
seth fumbles his win, tomer reminds him that he could have done it, seth "aight in that case lets do it during your combat phase as reward for telling me"
I always like when the goldfish crew plays cEDH and it is even more interesting now when most of the team have a little bit of cEDH experience outside of commander clash
I want that abacus😱😱😱
I also play Nymris in cedh. I’m glad I’m not the only one that tends to win by hullbreaker to the face 😂😂
I actually like runechanter's pike as a finisher in Nymris. Would you agree that Nymris has to be more willing to use answers on opponents turns to get value than the way Crim played?
@@shayneweyker yeah I generally play more on my opponent’s turns. My turn tends to be a lot of draw pass. His deck probably didn’t show up, I’ll have to look at his list. I actually don’t have that in my deck but I should. I’ve taken it out now but I’ve actually won 3 games with Vorporal Sword 🤣
Crim should have used chain of vapor on ranger-captain on the end of seth's turn.
He should, but he was as greedy as someone could be. Aiming at Seth when everyone knew the real threat was Crim's idea to get free value through Seth.
😂yea my head about exploded. Everything he did was trying to grind advantage while “helping” lol
Which is brilliant, then you can blame Seth for losing, he was given the chance to stop the situation and refused :P
What good is bouncing Ranger-captain? Then Tomer can just play Winota and get the triggers, which was what they were trying to stop lol
@@HurricaneGregor it means he wouldn't have the protection of sacrificing it before playing winota, which means someone at the table could have interaction to remove it. And the fear of that plus being tight on mama might just make tomer only replay the ranger-captain his next turn.
"I've never seen a brisket" I'm dying
I’d love to see a home brew cEDH episode
god I love Phyrexian Walker, it's my favorite card. I really like 0 cost creatures, the art is sick, the idea of the card is awesome, but the flavor text REALLY pulls it all together. such an amazing card
just got my awesome playmat and Set token now first to the gamenight after that watch this game
You should crack the red fetch to find a plateau, since a basic plains can help to play through magus. Turn 1 missplay.
When you have no clue on the meta , combos an interactions it gets messy, you did great crims chain of vapor is an usual play and a correct one , grats crim
Anyone else remember the good ole' Hullbreacher Wheel days?
It might be just because I feel like crud...but Tomer, you interrupting over and over this episode got me crazy.
We need more cEDH content!
Any chance we can check out the primers you're using? Especially the Ao deck looks very interesting, it would be useful to see the combo lines explained '^^
So I looked for a primer on Ao before the game and found out that Charles (who made the deck) doesn't make primers, so other than watching people play it (I think maybe Playing with Power did a video on Ao too?) there isn't a ton on the deck online.
The good news is the basic combo simple: Ao + Nim Deathmantle + Ashnod's Altar for the Ad Nauseum effect until you hit Relic Vial and Leonin Relic Warder (basically exactly what happened in the video). There are other neat synergies, but that's the big one your trying to set up.
My money's going on winota this week, though I'd really love Ao to win.
Winota is the cedh commander I see the most it's always scary, even from new pilots
I want an MTG goldfish abacus now!
"Je ne parle pas français"
Tomer, 2022
Crim could have played narset turn one. Idk if that’s correct but that would have been pretty cool
12:00. Tune in this week for cooking tips from MTG Goldfish
Seth fronting like he doesn’t know how to play then presents a convoluted loop 😂😂😂😂
Yay cedh week
Same week as cmd vs? Hopefully everyone gets their fill of cedh this week.
Spoiler alert, for some of us its always cEDH week :D
I'd buy an mtg goldfish abacus
I'd love to get more into cedh tournaments but can never find any near me. Can someone give me some recommendations
Brazil mentioned!
An hour of shame for Phile
"White is so weak in EDH!"
Three white decks in CEDH week.
tomer was here in Brazil?
Cedh once a season would be cool
Why Tomer have a Brazil flag behind him?
Phyrexian walker, snap keep
An hour long video for cEDH? Oh boy
Winota is more busted every single time I see her in play haha
Am I catching this live?!
Anything is possible if you believe
I am not too familiar with the crew, why does Tomer have a Brazilian flag on the background?
I will smoke a brisket for you Seth, just pop in to Sonoma county, and I will fix you up for the cost of a commander game:)
Spoilers:
Crim using Chain of Vapor on Seth made sense since it would gain Crim card advantage to force Seth to respond, but Seth being Seth refuses to be a pawn XD
Tomer might've had that game if Phil didn't save them there.
Makes sense not to. In cEDH you don't want to set yourself back just to stop someone.
Still of the opinion that Ao is just Teshar with extra steps
Tomer trying his best to get those Brazilian viewers
just remember, once we get somewhere it's really hard to get ride of us!!
vai Brasil!!!
_Primer_ is pronounced with a soft _i,_ btw.
AAAYOOOOOOOOOO
Where is game 2
Ignore the haters. Sous vide is the best. Super tender meat.
Ao Nauseam?
Its official, White is the strongest color in Magic
White is the bridesmaid of colors... the best to help, but never on the spotlight
Oh man I feel like tomer is just going to destroy this game
why the brazilian flag tomer?
Ao, I′m tired of using technology.
nice try fellas :)
cedh? yall kept 7 u didnt mulligan right lol
Crim mulliganed to 5
Tomer needs to fiddle his webcam. Looking a little too orange at present
Ach CEDH... run! xD
Nothing for me, skip that one. See you next time.
Thank goodness
Wait, something I just realized, Tomer is Brazilian?
Nah just on a trip somewhere
CEDH with no Atraxa? Not buying it
Your videos are way long, the shorts a right on key. If u guys had more videos that were 10 minutes and under I'm sure u would have even more views. Great job on everything you do. not trying to be to negative just a suggestion. Definitely do what comes best to you. Love the content 👌 😌.
We mostly try to have a mixture of lengths. Gameplay tends to be longer because it takes a long time to play a commander game, but there are also other shorter videos.
The shorts are ok, but I love sitting down with a full gameplay
I love how they all cringe when saying Clash On
I am surprised there has been so much cussing recently
"White is the weakest color in magic" sure
