🌱Join us to rewild the planet every month: planetwild.com/10/join 🐝Comment to add 100 bees right now! 💬 How does it work? An average beehive hosts around 50,000 bees. Except that in Africa it is VERY likely that beehives of Apis mellifera get colonized or hibridized by "african" bees which, when riled, chase everithing to death for hundreds of meters.
My Dad's been a bee keeper for over 65 yrs. He's 101. I absolutely love bee's. Not just for the delicious, healthy honey, but for all the many benefits of them. Save the bee's, save the elephants, and save all of nature's gifts.
The bumblebees... I keep count of how many I've seen each year mostly. Wild bees are extremely important, there are *A LOT* of things we should not be overlooking & I think they're one of them.
Honey Bees are invasive to America and they're out competing the native Bee species. Wanna save some Bees, gunna have to take down the American Honey industry 1st which I'm totally down for, I'm really curious what the honey tycoons will do when you come for their honey- I mean money
Before even having watched the full content. Bees went up even more in resilience. "Confusius says: Do not kill a mosquito with canon" If this is about poachers. It's a very "art of war"-move, to defeat shooters with something they can't shoot. Gangsta bees. 😁💪🏽👍✌️ * ow..
Guys, as for the last mission, I love that you integrate your community like this. Not just bringing support via the paying members but making it easy for every single watcher of this video to support this project by leaving a comment. Big shout out to you! Thanks for your effort! I'm really happy to be a part of this great community! 🐘
Unfortunately, this project has been tried before and it's not without its issues. Introducing honey bees for elephant deterrence can cause ecological imbalances. Studies, like those reported by DW Planet (check their video « bee extinction ») and others, show that high-density honey beekeeping leads to foraging competition, negatively impacting both honey and wild bees, reducing biodiversity. We must consider these broader environmental impacts, ensuring conservation strategies benefit all species involved.
So appreciative of the way you partner with the locals. They have the creativity, smarts and will, just need the financial backing. Love their solution to multiple challenges!
I’m so glad that there are people and organizations like yours that are helping animals and the people that live in their ecosystems. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO❤️
Bees are my mascot for world building. They are such a huge, but largely forgotten, part of our lives. Humanity has foolishly and selfishly strived to remove the wild for its own greed, but now we and our descendants are feverishly fighting against an existential swan dive of livability. Thank you Planet Wild, for all you and your supporters do to rectify our ancestors' folly.
The abuse of honey bees in the United States is the modern version of literally working a poor horse to death. In fact, people who keep bees as literally farm workers to pollen agricultural fields, then bring the bees home for the commercial honey was killing off the bee populations, and that's why they imported what turned out to be a death squad because they infected the native bees and they began dying. When will we ever learn?
I love this idea. Conflicts arise when we constantly seek to dominate nature, but by adopting a mindset of finding ways to collaborate with nature, many problems and conflicts can be solved, in a way that benefits both humans and nature. I think this story is a great example.
I want to say thank you and congratulations to Planet Wild for another job well done. Not only are they saving the greatly endangered species of African elephants, but they are also promoting bee sustainability and women entrepreneurship. Thank you too Planet Wild and now you can add another 100 bees! 🐘🐝👩🏿😁
I'm amazed how simple the most brilliant solutions are. It even made me tear up when I saw those beehive fences. Bees, elephants, humans, everyone wins!
Wonderful idea isn't it. Just goes to show how lives can be improved when humans connect with nature like this. Beekeeping has been a profitable skill and trade for thousands of years. I think everyone who can keep bees, should keep bees. There needs to be more projects like this which encourage farmers in all countries that have suitable climates to keep bees. Bees also do best when they are not being moved around, here they can work pollinating the farm crops and help the elephants, which in turn reduces loss of crops to the elephants, it just works in every way.
It is really good to see you doing it using the local wild bees. These little beauties are the epitome of 'small is beautiful'. Thank you to the local farmers who put the project together.
Another great mission that truly is a win-win-win...for the elephants, the bees, and the local community! It's hard to imagine the true impact of all the collaborative projects Planet Wild supports!❤❤
Thanks a bunch for acknowledging our efforts in our mission 💚 Delighted to hear our missions find meaning with you. We're happy to have you on our channel 💚😊
Omigosh, this is brilliant: Keep the elephants safe and away from the farmers, AND provide a crop of honey for the town! I adore both bees and elephants. Talk about win-win!
I love that you're using wild bees for this project. It's a small detail in the grand scheme of things but it's going to be that much better because of it.
I love what you’re doing. I’m a beekeeper in the USA, Florida ,Lake Worth. It’s wonderful how you’re helping the people, the forest, the elephants, the bees and mother nature all at once win win win win, win
This is amazing! It's truly inspiring to see so many people working together to save the mighty and majestic elephants while supporting the local community and women's collective. And let's not forget the significance of the bees! Supporting bees is definitely a good thing! Thank you for this work and for sharing the message. Keep on with the awesome ideas and the real life application! Way to change the world for the better!

The overdimensional biggest part in pollination do not play bees but flys (alongside so many other insects, including bees). So: Mankind, go safe the insects! Thank you, Planet Wild, for your great work 🙏
It's such a brilliant project, using the native bees to seek harmony between humans and elephants and, at the same time help our nature! How inspiring! Thank you for all your dedication and efforts!
This is an outstanding achievement and innovation of using species to help each other. The Bees help protect the farmers and their families and crops while also helping the jungle grow by pollinating the jungle plants and the farmers' crops. The farmers are helping the bees flourish and increase their numbers to not only benefit the farmers but also sharply decrease the numbers of mankind vs. elephant interactions and conflicts. The elephants now stay in safe area's where they won't be at risk of farmers trying to interact with them and driving them away. It's a Win, Win, Win! OUTSTANDING!
I just love all these innovative ideas. A big win for the elephants, the farmers, the bees as well as the new entrepreneurs who are harvesting the honey. In grateful appreciation. Liliane
This is most inspiring to see how innovative and humane a human solution can be. Congratulations and gratitude to everyone and all the animals and bees.
This program goes way beyond just protecting the glorious elephants. It helps the elephants, the farmers, and the women who sell the honey, thus reducing poverty. Very few programs can claim this kind of success. I’d love to see 100 more bees added to the fence. Thank you.
Such an inspiring plan and so well and professionally executed. Thank you for helping the planet, the farmers, the elephants and the women. I hope that your group is blessed with returns of succes many times over!
I have just visited the South Luangwa national park in Zambia and also there in its neighbourhood bees have proven to be the best protectors for human elephant conflicts compared to other methods like electric fences or chilli. So very well done! 🐘🐝💚
An added benefit to this solution is that the bees will assist the farmers by pollinating the crops. A suggestion to further improve the lives of the people (and the environment) would be to educate the farmers on the benefits of companion plants that are not necessarily edible but attract and feed the pollinators and “helpful” predator insects, or simply deter other pests. Less chemical and mechanical disturbances to increase yield brings benefits for the entire ecosystem, including people and elephants.
I love the work you are all doing to save elephants, while at the same time, supporting bee populations. Your innovative techniques are both smart & brilliant! Thanks so much to you & the local farmers who help this noble effort.❤🌍✨

You people at Planet Wild and your ideas are what the world needs to survive. Keep on. You have my support, I'm joining Planet Wild and donating to these wonderful projects.
New to the channel, and all I can say is WOW. Thank you for the information on your videos. These majestic animals need all the help we can give them. Please add another 100 bees from me.
I am a deck gardener ❤ the bee always assures me things are headed in the right direction, and the better plants I choose, the more that they like to come work. Thank you for making this safe concept grow for the elephants. It restores so much hope 🙏
@@planet-wild So how are you making sure that the elephants get enough food and space when you scare them off the land? They were there FIRST! The humans are thieves..
I keep bees, when I was 21 in Kenya I was told that this was a way of protecting shambas (farms) from elephants ... that would be in 1980. The locals tended to regard them as massive vermin. If I was poor and had a shamba I might too so there must be a way of making elephants economically useful.
Thanks so much for your kind words! 😍 Feel free to share this video with anyone who you think might be interested - this would be of great help. The bigger our community grows, the bigger our projects will be! 💚
How cool is that! I’m so scared what will happen if all the bees dies out and our ecosystems will collapse. So relieved to see that you are tackling that. On a small scale, but it’s all interconnected. So what you do in Tanzania, will also affect my life in Germany! Thanks for your work
A great point! Everything is interconnected and it will certainly will make a positive ripple! 💚 Thanks for appreciating our efforts in our missions! 🐘🐝
Absolutely BRILLIANT! This farmer has found the answered to a problem that has been passed over because it's not profitable. This man and his community and all people's that live by their skills and intimate knowledge of their environment in my opinion are also a Keystone species.
I’m afraid of bees, too, but this is amazing. I am so glad your group is out there doing this great work. This is probably the best solution to an environmental issue that I have ever seen.
I took a Safari there after climbing Kilimanjaro years ago and saw a lot of elephants and animals in the wild for the first time, and I’m certainly glad people are doing things to protect them. Good video.
I'm so inspired and appreciate all that you guys do to help all the beautiful and wild creatures that we share this planet. Thank you for this mission to save elephants. I love them!
+100 bees!! 💛🖤💛🖤💛 What an incredible holistic solution 👏👏👏 I grew my large garden first for the bumblebees & wild bees in my area of Ontario, Canada! I also love Elephants, and the fact that your project assists farmers & women is like a win-win-win-win! Bravi!! Subscribed 👍👍🥳
Dear Planet Wild, I greatly appreciate your projects and the incredible work you do to support nature and give it a chance to thrive again! You guys are awesome! Kudos! I am from Sri Lanka, where our country is also facing the serious issue of human-elephant conflicts. In 2023, 470 elephants died in Sri Lanka, with half of those deaths caused by humans. This marked a record number of elephant deaths in the country. Every year, we are losing more of these majestic animals. In the early 19th century, Sri Lanka had an estimated population of 19,500 elephants. However, by 2019, this number had dropped to an estimated 7,500 elephants. I would be immensely grateful if you could consider helping us address this critical issue in Sri Lanka as well. Thank you! I hope you can accomplish a thousand more projects like this. Wishing you all the very best!
I am so super impressed with the ingenuity you and your cooperatives have displayed here! Plus I am enormously grateful for organizations like yours with all their individuals chipping in all that effort to make this world a better place! Thank you so, so much for that! Maybe there still IS hope for my grandchildren...
WOW! This is so awesome, nature helping nature with a little help of smart human nature😉 I love the fact the elephants are getting help to stay safe and really love the fact the honey will help villages and of course the ladies in their own right. Not sure who thought up this great idea but hey you've got my vote and now my membership❤ God Bless each and every one of you🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️
They forgot to mention how amazing bees are for the planet! Also, in regards to Elephants. Elephants have graveyards. They know when it's their time & go there. The loved ones of the deceased mourne intensely, they even cry. Such soulful creatures.
Every month, you guys amaze me again and again with your inspiring ideas, , how to change the planet through wild life to a better world, step by step! And I love the fact, that you use wild bees, by the way! Great work and many thanks
That’s so interesting and encouraging. The success of the project is such good news and the added benefit to the women from the honey enterprise is sweet.

yes, yeah, yeah.
it is trully amazing how creativity, heart, humanity, love for animals and peace can create SO much.

I am a deck gardener ❤ the bee always assures me things are headed in the right direction, and the better plants I choose, the more that they like to come work.
Thank you for making this safe concept grow for the elephants. It restores so much hope 🙏
That's awesome! 😍 Glad to hear our mission strikes a chord with you! 💚🐝🐘

So how are you making sure that the elephants get enough food and space when you scare them off the land? They were there FIRST! The humans are thieves..
Great job 👏 Love the cooperation between locals, the existing conservation group and Planet Wild to solve multiple challenges. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thanks a bunch for the support! 💚 Delighted to hear our mission strikes a chord with you! 💚🐝🐘
Well done. A solution which benefits many plants, animals and humans. We all share the same space. Congratulations!! ❤❤
Indeed, this method truly hits a home run! 😍🐝🐘
I keep bees, when I was 21 in Kenya I was told that this was a way of protecting shambas (farms) from elephants ... that would be in 1980. The locals tended to regard them as massive vermin. If I was poor and had a shamba I might too so there must be a way of making elephants economically useful.
Me being able to support this project even by only commenting the video, makes this a win-win-win-win-scenario.
Thanks Planet Wild for your work
Thanks for the support and being a part of this 'win'! 😃🐝🐘

It's awesome seeing this channel grow visably, please keep up the great work!
Thanks for your work
b
A great point! Everything is interconnected and it will certainly will make a positive ripple! 💚 Thanks for appreciating our efforts in our missions! 🐘🐝
Absolutely BRILLIANT! This farmer has found the answered to a problem that has been passed over because it's not profitable. This man and his community and all people's that live by their skills and intimate knowledge of their environment in my opinion are also a Keystone species.
🐝 A bee fence is a brilliant idea. It helps in so many ways. I’m glad we can give additional bees again to help more as well 🐘
🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
Thanks for being a part of our mission and helping these gentle giants! 😍🐘🐝
I just love the work you do, Planet Wild! 💰 Here’s to another 100 bees. 🐝😄

We are as excited as you are to see the changes our community support unleashes! 💚🐘🐝
Happy to see this will support for local Tanzanian women as well!

Not only protecting farmers and elephants, but providing entrepreneurial opportunities. win, Win, WIN!
Cheers to these wins! 😍🐝🐘
I’m afraid of bees, too, but this is amazing. I am so glad your group is out there doing this great work. This is probably the best solution to an environmental issue that I have ever seen.
Thanks for the kind words and amazing feedback! 💚 It means a lot to us to get such feedbacks. We're happy to have you on our channel! 💚🐝🐘

I took a Safari there after climbing Kilimanjaro years ago and saw a lot of elephants and animals in the wild for the first time, and I’m certainly glad people are doing things to protect them. Good video.

More bees! Thank you for the awesome info, it's amazing how just noticing how animals do things is so useful❤

Dear Planet Wild,
I greatly appreciate your projects and the incredible work you do to support nature and give it a chance to thrive again!
This sounds so good on many levels. I hope you get 100 bees to continue this development.
Thanks for the comment and cheering us on 😍🐝🐘
I’m so happy people are helping the gentle giants
Thanks! 💚 Now you're also a part of our mission to help these gentle giants! 😍🐝🐘

Another month, another awesome mission. ❤ Great job Planet Wild. Here's my 100 bees. 😅🐝
Thanks a bunch for the support! 💚 We gladly receive the 100 bees! 😍🐝
Thanks a bunch for the love and constant support! 💚 Glad to hear our missions find meaning with you! 💚😊
