Absolutely! The effects of ocean pollution in one region can have far-reaching consequences for marine ecosystems around the world, so we are all in the same boat. We'll consider the Pacific Garbage Patch 😉, in the meantime, all of us can contribute by reducing plastic waste💪.
The best way to help the ocean be free of plastic is to stop it getting there in the first place. As it was said in the video most of the plastic are from fishing industry, we must stop eating fish to help our ocean, we have a lot of alternatives for fish.
Plenty of communities rely on fish and cannot simply cut it out of their diets. Instead what we need to do is implement safe and SUSTAINABLE fishing practices that do not pollute our oceans with plastic. 🌊🐚🐬

FANTASTIC WORK!! There's something that most are not either understanding or simply don't care is that what the plastic particulates will eventually do is to shut down the natural sea water to fresh water desalinization system and once that happens it will be too late
It sounds like regulation is needed on fishnet usage. If fishermen keep dumping their old nets in the sea, then they should only be able to buy a limited amount of them. You can clean up the plastic forever and it's not going to solve the problem. Everyone needs to force the petrochemical companies to STOP using petroleum based oils and instead use plant based oils, that break down into non- toxic biodegradable waste. Fishing nets would still be dangerous for sea-life until they decompose.
Imagine what we could do without having to decompress. Half the time is just spent waiting. Larger, deeper cleanup efforts will be unfeasible without substantial financing. Hell, there are some areas where you would need saturation divers staying compressed for a week to truly make an impact. That will cost millions. There is potential for implantable nitrogen scrubbers or even liquid breathing in the future. Which could be a game changer for ocean floor cleanups.
