    I asked a mechanic what it would be to do this and he said 300 dollars. I can't believe how simple it is to do it yourself! you've saved me over 200 dollars thank you!

    Thanks for the videos. You've saved me a good amount of money. I'd put a little Never Seez High Temp on the threads. Just to make it easier if you ever have to replace again.

    Is the upstream the same sensor as the downstream sensor?

    I’m looking to replace the o2 sensor that connects directly into the catalytic convertor on my 98’ civic ex, would that be a downstream or an upstream? And does the ex have one or two sensors? Thanks!

    whats the difference between upper and lower (downstream) o2 sensors? I cant find mine

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  7 лет назад

      +Geoffrey Mckinney The differences in the oxygen sensors are the wire length, as well as the connector between upper (which is before the catalytic converter and usually attached to the manifold) and lower. 1aauto.com

    Do you have a video for o2 sensor replacement for a 2001 accord or anything that would be similar?

    I have a 95 Honda Del Sol. I was told at the Auto Body shop that it only has 1 O2 sensor... most cars have 2 sensors upper and lower... So does the Del sol have 1 or 2? Thanks!

    • @Val-bw4bz
      @Val-bw4bz 3 года назад

      The del sol is technically a CRX, so that’s correct - only the one O2 sensor

    what is really irritating to me is the video says 92-2000 civic but my downstream o2 sensor on my 99 civic is not the same as this video and I cant find any videos on how to do it bc I cant find the plug to unplug it

    So if there is nothing wrong with my sensor to remove it I still have to cut the wires?

    • @RadJordy
      @RadJordy 4 года назад

      I dunno if you got an answer or figure it out, but the reason you take cut the old one is to get the breaker bar over the old one to take it out easier. If you can get a wrench in there to loosen it, I don't see why that wouldn't work. Cheers!

      It should be a very similar process. We carry new O2 sensors on our website for your 01-05. Here's a link to them.www.1aauto.com/1A/oxygen-sensors/Honda/Civic/-/-/2001?VideoReply&VideoReply&ATony

    How many o2 sensors are on a 2000 civic?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  10 месяцев назад +1

      +DEE Aguilar You should have two oxygen sensors on your vehicle. You may check with a label mechanic to be sure.

    @1aautoparts what trouble codes do u get from this sensor being bad on this car?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  10 лет назад +1

      It may be a P0141, P0135 or a P0133 code. If the check engine light is on you should pull the code to see what it's pointing to. You should be able to Google the code to see what it relates to on your vehicle. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

  • @Kyle-jd3wm
    @Kyle-jd3wm 11 дней назад

    That's not a downstream o2 sensor. That's a upstream. 98 civics have 2 of them, one of them is on the exhaust manifold, and the other is on the catalytic converter. The one on the cat is the downstream.
