NATIONAL HOUSING TRUST is HUGE FACTOR. Unlike the US, they are not quick to rush in with foreclosure procedings like in the US. Also, in economic downturns, maybe people are more resourceful in renting out parts of their house in order to hold on to it, than ppl did in the recession/Housing Crisis.
Why when your buying real estate in Jamaica, you have to pay the lawyer a percentage of purchase price instead of just a flat fee. This method of payment with prices of houses gets very expensive. 😢😮
Real estate in Jamaica is a horrible idea, I had property there 8 years ago and all the deceitful contractors and the thieves take block steel, anything that's not tied down, the list goes on and on as to the reasons why, but it is complete chaos and you always get screwed, find another Island where the people are better behaved and honest.
You failed to manage your building properly. Yes not everyone is honest but you must take responsibility for poor management. Construction has to be closely monitored in order to be done properly.
@jamzempire I would agree but it wasn't just one person, it was the Mason, the welder, the carpenter and the plumber, always issues always about money always about BS...BS we don't deal with here. Proper contracts are written and the spectrum of what will be happening in the payment schedule is written out, you know people aren't trying to rip you off here, and also if they do you always have an option to take them to court which is expeditious here, and like a freaking turtle with broken legs in Jamaica
