Guy’s a hall of Famer. However his best days are long gone and he seems to be a cloud over the team. Jettisoning him will be a breath of fresh air and free up 3B.
Ship em. I don’t think anyone really cares anymore after watching him play the last two years, no leadership or productivity. I rather watch a young new roster.

@@LockedOnCardinalsMLB It would be better to talk more about the performance and career path of our newest drafted players in the low Minors; I personally don't know about all the players we have in the Minors. Trade miles , arenado, matz and I will be stoked . Miles extension really worked out good for the turds.😂😂😂😂😂❤ There's no guarantee when helsley is traded the prospects will even make an impact on St Louis. I get it mo , Dewitt won't pay helsley the bucks to lock him up. He's proven ,is one of the best closers in the game... I personally like him ,want him to stay . Unfortunately he's gone.
Just do whatever and get this incoming season over with and get mo and Marmol out of there afterwards. Nothing matters while they are around. Lame duck season. Move out the trash and start to rebuild
Mo would torch the future of the organization if he could get the club to win another 83 games next year, that's how desperate and pathetic he is. Marmol is in a win/win situation with these stl media types because if the cards suck next year they will say they were supposed to, and if they have another 83 win season, guys like JD here will be wanting to put Marmol on Mt Rushmore.
If they do this right, they can get out of this contract and even get a prospect, red sox ,yankees ,dodgers and phillies have shown interest, so they nees to slow play this and keep hush and let the deal come to them ,these are clubs in direct competition for a title and Arenado still has something in the tank, especially defensively, priorities 1) get rhe buyers to take the contra t ,They can pull this off
While I wouldn't mind arronado not waiving his no trade i do feel bad 4him if he's wanting to play fir a championship contender we would miss his defense and bat at times but if they could move him and get alot back since we r just wild card contenders id understand we do got other younger guys who can play 3b gorman walker Donovan sagesse etc we mite b bttr offensively if they can improve n the long run nolan is showing alot of signs of decline we shall c go cards good show j.d . !!
Arenado to KC for Bubic and a prospect or two.....only pay down a small portion of the contract Arenado to Boston for Yoshida....contract for contract Arenado to Phillies for Nick Castellanos .. contract for contract Arenado to the Mets for Jeff McNeil ..contract for contract
Arenado for that Yankee kid straight!!! WHY would we trade a platinum glove 3rd baseman plus 2 others for an unproven player who batted under .200 when he was up??? That makes absolutely no frickin' sense whatsoever. Arenado for Dominguez and the Yankees take all of Arenado's payroll!!! They need him more than we do!!! And we don't have to trade him.
We have the exact pieces they need to go for a title, I agree, don't let them bellyache over a contract you want arenado, Helsley and possibly an outfielder? You're paying a heavy price ,more than one prospect for sure.
If all want him gone then package him with Nootbaar or Donovan to get something If we are going to play the young kids here is the youngsters we have other than Contreras and Siani is younger than Burleson and fermin is also younger so if you put Gorman at first and Fermin at third then all players are the younger Herrera c Contreras 1st Saggese 2nd Winn ss Gorman 3rd Burleson lf Scott cf Walker rf
sorry Bill, but that lineup won't win 60 games. We might even give the White Sox's record for futility last season a run for their money. Trading Nootbaar makes sense, but not Donovan. Scott, Walker, Gorman and Saggese cannot hit and/or strike out too much, and Walker is atrocious on defense anywhere he might be put, which causes too much pressure on pitchers to be perfect and on guys in the lineup who do hit. The latter impacted Goldy and Arenado the past 2 seasons, and this 2025 lineup is worse than 2024.
@rayrussell6258 I agree that lineup sucks but everyone keeps screaming they want all the kids playing I am not one I say to start you put the best defense in
We better not move any of our guys under 25
Jo Jo as a closer is ridiculous
Not a closer, just a reliever

I would trade Lars Nootbar. I don't understand how a guy who is always hurt and under performs becomes a fan favorite but for me he is expendable.
Lars a 4th OFer

Dominguez is “the crown jewel of the Yankees farm system”. Didn’t we hear much the same thing about Jordan Walker?
And Carlson... sometimes they don't work out... but sometimes they do
@@LockedOnCardinalsMLB seems like not even sometimes for Mozeliak's crown jewels
Either one of those trades you would need more than just Dominguez, especially the Helsley one.
Lars and Fernandez are not as good as Cardinals think they are, I’d trade both for anyone
Boston is a really interesting idea..
One for one, Arenado for Yoshida?
I would be ok with that
Boston's best power hitter/rbi man in their lineup plays 3B, they would not want Arenado
@@rayrussell6258 who is horrible on defense.

I'm sure the lowly White Sox would even be "interested" in Arenado.
Why continue this speculation? It's pointless.
Because it's the offseason and that's what people do haha

Arenado and helsley for Dominguez and also trade jo jo Romero ?
If Arenado doesn't wanna leave, leave it alone and don't trade him.
If he was a bit younger id like to see nolan in houston
For the Yankees I could see a Arenado, Donovan, Helsley trade packaging to get 2 top ten prospects maybe even Domínguez
Arenado and Helsley I’m okay with but I need Donny here.
We already let Tommy go.
