Seeing Ozzie taking ground balls brings back memories of whitey ball, I believe that was the best trade to bring Ozzie to St Louis, it's good to see him with the organization still! Let's go Cards!!
Absolutely love the knowledge and simplicity the Wizard brings. How is he so incredibly smooth still? Can't wait to see Nolan eat at 3rd this season!! Great segment
Thankyou for sharing Nolan and Ozzie.. i know your intense Nolan and want to do it at the highest level.. have fun and enjoy also , good luck to the team! This was awsome.
I still have my grandfathers baseball who got it as a gift from Ozzie Smith because my grandfather worked with Ozzies brother 🥺 my grandfather has been gone for a few years but I’ll forever keep the ball Ozzie gave him

His foot work isn’t as good as Ozzie’s. Ozzie is already moving into the throw. Nolan has to replant his feet for the throw. Ozzie is already ready to throw by time he gets the ball.
"The Land of OZ, where Cardinals infielders become wizards." So Cardinals are claiming instructional defense prowess by highlighting 2 defensive stalwarts whom they did NOT develop? Gotcha.
Not sure what your point is. Regardless of where Smith/Arenado developed their skills, they are part of the Cardinals organization and are instructing.
The point is, Cardinals are highlighting these 2 on a field that features a sign suggesting they develop great defenders yet neither highlighted player was developed by them. It's funny if 1 actually knows history.
@@peterf.4268 It's simply a play on words; don't know why it rubs you (or maybe I do). In any event, judging by your picture I've probably been watching baseball since before your parents were born, so I've lived through a lot of what you can only read about.
23 combined Gold Gloves standing right there.
Best Ozzy Segment yet please continue this ground ball/ catch series
Came here to say the same thing
Ozzie is unbelievably smooth for his age
He really was incredible as an og baseball fan.
Too smooth tbh. He still loose and limber too.
Ozzie hasn't lost his touch, and having Nolan next to him, Hall of Fame
Two great fielders
Better than great.
Wonderful to watch such great fielders at work. Go Cards!
Cardinals for posting this segment cannot wait to witness opening day Busch Stadium for my very first time on April 4th can't wait go cardinal

Two of my ALL TIME FAVORITES! The Wizard and NADO!!! "The finest in the field"
One of the most simplistic videos with some of the most advanced concepts when it comes to fielding at the highest levels
I’m not a cardinals fan but I’m a Ozzie fan excellent video
Ozzie is 69 blows my mind. I grew up watching him, and is my favorite player of all time.
Nolan is so grateful acting and humble. Love to see it. Such a true professional.
How great was that! Two of the very best.
Great segment!

Arenado and Smith. Two great Cardinals infielders of all time.

That has been his thing and works for. That’s what use to drive the coaches crazy when he first got to the minors. They hated his footwork
Nolan must be really fortunate to be with Ozzie in that moment.
The fieldng is impressive but whoever was hitting the groundballs was perfect
That was AWESOME!!!

Nice addition, great video and tips.
I would love to see videos of this style.
This is wonderful!
May I have mic'd up of Nolan and Goldy? It must be interesting.
MORE OF THIS
Really nice video.
Wish my Twins would do this….. looks like they need it
Ozzie’s still got a feel for the game even at his age
Ozzie Smith… whatta guy
I’m named after ozzie smith
No bobble no errors during the interview. Gessssh.
Love ozzie
What are the shoes Ozzie is wearing?
I think they're nike pegasus 40's. Comfy running shoes
Ozzie is still silky smooooooth!!
The only thing I don’t like about Nolan is that he tends to sit back and wait for the ball a little.
They promised Arenado they would put a winning team together and they lied to him just like Colorado did!
Go cards

No, he didn’t. He still a free agent man

I doubt your 80 years old. It rubs me wrong when orgs (any org, not just STL, not just baseball) take credit for that which they did do not deserve.
@@peterf.4268 You're right; I'm only 71, so technically I should have said way before YOU were born. But the rest remains valid.
