    I happened to stumble onto this channel
    I m a Giants fan growing up
    My dad used to take us to the games when the team used to play at the no longer existing Candlestick Park then he passed away in 1982 just when the Giants were about to close out a 4 game weekend series at Dodger Stadium
    Too bad he couldn t be here to see Buster Posey Brandon Crawford Madison Bumgarner and the remaining Giants team with Bruce Bochy as the teams manager before he retired then Gabe Kapler came along
    Too bad my late pops didn t see the Giants win the World Series in 2010 2012 and also in 2014

    Love these Giants. As a Dad of a 6 and a 9 year old, I let them watch these with me and then we go outside and incorporate them during Little League season. Gracias!!

      Totally agree. My son is 9 and mostly plays catcher and pitcher, but I love showing him these videos to get him thinking about these moves in a more detailed way. I even incorporate some of these drills (toned down) in our practices.

    Love what I see from Kai, and seeing Blandino (a wonderful player who will be in the big leagues very soon!) work with Thairo Estrada (A CERTIFIED big leaguer) really shows just how much work Thairo puts in day to day. He's so smooth with everything, it's so fun to watch

    As a left-handed kid, I always played outfield. When I tried to play middle infield, my coaches always told me to never spin to make the throw & it never made sense to me. Use the momentum to carry it through as opposed to stop/start.

  • @Ireland831
    @Ireland831 2 года назад

    He lets the ball get too deep. With those easy fungos he can make those plays, hard ground balls he will get eaten up. Must field further out front. Hard grounders will ricochet off the heel of the glove or wrist. Hit live and that deficiency will reveal itself.

    • @Ireland831
      @Ireland831 2 года назад

      @@lRosettaStonedl Who is doing ok in your eyes...Mathisen? He has been in the minors for a decade. You think Kai is doing OK...Giants are tied for like 3rd most errors and ranked 28th for defense. By any of those measures...no....they aren't doing ok...."bro"....

    • @Ireland831
      @Ireland831 Год назад

      Looks like Mathisen was released by the River Cats. I think he is done. I think after this year Kai is done, too.

    • @Ireland831
      @Ireland831 Год назад

      @@lRosettaStonedl FYI current year 2023 - Giants are last in errors in MLB. They are committing an error per game on average. My comments stand that he is NOT doing OK.

    • @lRosettaStonedl
      @lRosettaStonedl Год назад

      @@Ireland831 as many errors have been committed by the pitching staff as the infield lol. There have been very few infield errors, nearly all of them by Crawford. Catchers have the most actually. So your analysis is still dumb, in 2023 🤣

  • @Nuschler22
    @Nuschler22 Год назад

    They keep erasing my comment. I've disliked this video and keep marking "not intersted," and it keeps showing up.
    Great job with the defense. The absolute lowest rank in baseball defensively.
    It takes balls to keep this video up.
