Money well spent. Christmas can’t come soon enough!
Wow! All the bells and whistle’s going on this thing - what a machine it’s going to be. Personally prefer a more heritage look than pano glass but either way, it’s going to be a mega thing.
When going too far, I generally find that with romance and battlefield violence the limit is just your imagination. This truck is going to be quite the ridiculously large thing James. And I’m an American, so that’s saying something.

Make sure you put a handle on the A pillar. Using the door to get in and out kills the door hinges quicker then people think. People never seem to notice why steering columns are always loose and doors never shut properly on lifted toys.

Something as seemingly simple as the wrap around glass transform's it big time. Of course you went overboard that's what makes this project special

You will regret having that old Rover/ Buick Thor V8 they are incredibly vulnerable

Hi James - really enjoyed the latest content - esp. all the Gumball stuff. Quick question - do you have any idea who does the Gumball merch? After watching your vids, I thought it would be fun to get some, but that was two weeks ago, and my order seems to be hanging in limbo. Know anyone I can message to try and get it moving? I'm a bit disappointed in the whole thing so far as part of the order is xmas presents for my kids....

Needs external body kit its too tall better not risk it if you go for real off-roading slow on some big angles and muddy terrains

Are you going to put 40” tires on there? That gap above the tires now is a bit excessive, no? Should be a super fun rig, just don’t dump it over at the first roundabout. 😁
Depends on how much travel is in the suspension...
last guy who built one with that mi=uch lift said it had so many problems because of the lift, personally I think it looks stupid, totally unusable as what it's designed to be. You have a fad, not a Defender. When it's done, Take it off road and I'll happily spec some tracks for you to fail at.
So when are you flying out to cali to see the DDE boys.

Run it in with a quick run down to Johannesburg down through Spain, Morocco and the west of Africa, and back up the Eastern side through Kenya, Egypt and back home via Jordan and Turkey.
Too tall. The slim suspension components visible while raised to this height unfortunately gives this the opposite of a strong or tough appearance. Muscle needs an appearance of tight and compact components while keeping the scale of everything slightly bigger. This looks a bit like a body builder with a huge upper body, huge feet with no legs at all. Bring it down and remove the transparency between the top radius of the tire and the body. Also the diamond type plate on the lower panel between the wheels from the side view is quite cheap feeling. Generally any type of diamond plate is very “ diy garage feeling”So many awesome things on your channel and the wrap around glass definitely has the ability to give the right touch of modernity. Hope it all goes well!
Ground clearance is far less than you might think. 15 inches at best...

I cannot for the life of me understand why you would go with that rover engine…. Just seems like you’ve done everything to 10s and 11s and when came to the engine you said “ehh whatever good enough right?”. Why not a diesel, or an LS or LSX something halfway reliable that makes respectable power instead of that turd that you can throw all the money in the world at it and it will never be reliable and never make good power. What a let down.
