That Def is way nicer, better looking & will outdue any H1 , sorry to say it lol. That's one of the cleanest & best looking 4x4 builds of a truck from that time period.

I actually saw a Defender 90 with that back glass over here in the states, it intrigued me because it definitely gives a cleaner look. Awesome build, incredible 110👏🏻👏🏻

Love that side rear windows wrap around the corners to the back. Such a cool and refreshing detail.
I'm the opposite - every thing looks great except the rear glass treatment - nothing about the 'office block' glazing ties in with the rest of the car. Different yes, good No.

Nice video and nice ride.
Love the long sleeve with the Saab ghost squadron logo in the back. Koenigsegg uses that logo on their cars since the cars are built on an airfield that past Saab military jets used.

Replace that trash winch line with a Warn or a Factor 55 synthetic line and you'll save even more weight and increase tensile strength. Also won't rust!

Dude, you deffo need a winch on that, lol first thing i thought of was Dave and if damon gets his hands on it, it be 6 foot in the air in no time at all.. There's a few hills in DDE's backyard for bigfooting, 4x4, Glamping in the woods haha Just need boys to finish the H1, Rig it out with powerful power systems, Ghost squad does alberta lol...

It would be great if it wasn't for the engine. There are plenty of 300hp 3 litre TDI engines you could use. Add a massive fuel tank and you'd have something that would have the same power but with a much longer range.

Wow, what a great build! Question: How is the on-road handling now with the lift and Fox suspension? Original Defenders are pretty dodgy in that department, and the only thing that's keeping me from building one.

It will handle like a boat. There’s just no need to lift it like that, especially when you then mount exhausts that low on the side and a very low front bumper. Bet you it vibrates like hell at motorway speeds and will regularly kill propshafts. I built a 90, slightly lowered with bigger arb’s and most importantly ATB diffs front, centre and rear. It has an LS3 with around 500hp and handles brilliantly for a defender. Lifts are for posers with little willies!

He says he’ll never need a winch but you can get stuck in sand or mud real quick even when trying to avoid such, and despite having a beefed up rig. And it’s not just about recovering your rig; I have recovered other people in their vehicles far more times than I have used it to recover my own.
