      Kinda is though especially when 85% of these producers literally making copy paste beats, they make a nice melody or make a perfect sample loop and then shove the same exact beat and 808 on every one of there beats and nearly everyone else.

    The tittle of this video misleads and gives the wrong impression to many people of what A real producer does in the studio. What most people often miss as it doesn't just end right at the beat. A Record Producer facilitates and brings everything togother as the finished product as they are like the directors of a movie. The Producer works closely with the Artist in the studio directing behind the mixing board trying to get a great Vocal performance or the right engery out of an Artist. You don't even have program beats or play an instrument to be a Producer. Sean Diddy Combs and Rick Rubin are examples of Hip Hop Producer's that don't make beats. The Producer sees every aspect of making record from the beginning stages all the way to the end as it doesn't just end at the beat. *"Once you finished making the beat, you have to produce the record" - Dr. Dre*

      People will often confuse producers with beat makers or put them in the same box

    • @eman0828
      @eman0828 4 года назад +3

      @@patrickadem4461 Yes and many people, specifically younger people that's in thier 20s and under are unaware that the oringal job title of a "beatmaker" were formally referred to as *"Programmer's"* back in the day. Traditionally Programmers were hired separately by a Producer to help sequence backing tracks with the use of drum machines, samplers and keyboards. However many Producers started fulfilling the role of a Programmer to create the backing tracks themselves instead of relying on some else. There are still beatmakers out there that just only program beats but they aren't a Producer yet until they actually been in the studio with an Artist and actually produce the song and bring it into reality. Teddy Riley, Pharrell, Rodney Jerkins, myself, and Dr. Dre are what you call multifaceted Record Producers of many skill sets or talent that wears many hats or performs many job duties. Quincy Jones would also be considered a Multifaceted Producer as hes a Musician, Composer, Arranger and Conductor as well.

      @shuaduah 4 года назад

      The ONLY thing I'll argue with you on is Rick Rubin. He's nice on the drum machine. Agree whole heartedly with everything else. I've produced a couple times. I'm a beat maker mainly.

    • @eman0828
      @eman0828 4 года назад +1

      @@shuaduah Rick Rubin doesn't really make beats anymore. Hes more like Puff these days that would Guild and direct the session. Hes more hands off. I'm branching out onto Rock and Metal genres myself as a Producer sort of going the same direction as J.R Rotem that's producing rock records now. He was the one that produce that Centuries record by the Fall Out Boys working with live musicians. Dre worked alot with session players.

    • @shuaduah
      @shuaduah 4 года назад +1

      @@eman0828 I'd love to produce a rock album. I have ideas but I would need rock musicians to bring them to fruition. Yeah, I believe you about Rick, legendary. Guess I'm thinking like Beastie Boys early stuff. Run DMC, LL Cool J... stuff he was more hands on with. But reading your earlier comments you're absolutely right. Teddy Riley, Q, Dre, Pharrell... multifaceted producers. Can't forget about Chad Hugo. People always mention Pharrell and forget about him.

    Dope melodys lead synths but all your drums and mostly the same 808 literally most of these guys sound exactly the same, 100% and I kinda dont like that but I know why you all use that exact same sound, it's because its easy to make loud and banging out the speakers.
