How did they got the final score? I sum all the number and then divide it by 5, which are how many number there are. And it didn’t give me the results they had. It should be: 1st- Dave 2nd-Andrew 2nd- Roomie 3rd- Rob
stephanie Cs they added the numbers up and whoever got the lowest score won. So if you got first place in each test then you would have a score of 5 and if you got last place you would get 20. Rob had 3 4s and two 1s so he got last.
They should go for points. Like for the 1st place you get 3 points, 2 points for being 2nd, 1 point for being 3rd and 0 points for being 4th. That's the best way to do it, imho.

Tbf, this tackles the fundamental mechanics of music, not the emotional side: the emotions a musician can evoke through their playing are far more important, but a lot harder to measure.
This test has little to do with music. Music is not about absolutes. Neither in pitch or in pace. It is about perception; how we feel about it. Now if you are a drummer, it is probably a good thing that you are good at keeping pace and have some sense of which pace it should be. (i remember from my days in bands that some of our performances we started way too fast. Problem is, you cant then while at it, change the pace. And that too fast pace may then lead to problems with guitar solo and quick lines of text later on. Hilarious when you cant make it. ;p For the rest it is of less importance; that is, often you do a specific note a tad after the beat, or prolong it after. Entire genres of music rest upon singing being a tad behind the beat. Of course that means that you still have to know that beat, to be able to be the right amount late. But the first thing i said applies. It is not about absolutes. It is about perception.
