Everyone says Buzzfeed is running out of ideas, I mean sure, some of their videos are a bit dry but everyone has a few videos that are lacking. I find this one very interesting and well done!

I'm pretty sure that he plays an acoustic set. Also, what you witnessed wasn't exactly an electric set. It was a drum pad with a kick bass. A traditional electric drum kit would have the layout of the traditional acoustic set, but smaller.

You definitely didn't sound like a troll. I actually think that you properly stated your opinion. I just like to point out that the mixing stage is mostly the culprit of a mediocre-sounding track, and that mastering is essentially very subtle eqing, compressing, and increasing the loudness of a mix.
I don't mean to sound like a know-it-all though! Just sharing what I know. :)

jeremy this video was pretty good, but buzzfeed only cares about quantity over quality. this was an amazing exception, they took their time to do it properly and didn't just spit out an idea. if they wouldn't care that much on making a lot of videos I'd be subscribed to all of their channels.

The song turned out really good. It's something I would definitely listen to. This guy is talented- I mean he can play drums, base, guitar, sing, write music, lyrics, and put it all together in editing? Bravo! The only thing that bothers me is I can still hear his lisp in the music, but other than that I feel it's something that he could really pursue if he wanted to.

A lisp is when you don't pronounce your "S"'s properly in words. You stick your tongue between your teeth when you pronounce it instead of how you're supposed to do it with your teeth closed. So pretty much it's not speaking properly. It's kind of like an accent. Children have lisps a lot, especially when they start losing their teeth. Could you really not find that on the internet? That's strange.

To be a good song producer you essentially have to be a jack of all trades, Like being a lyricist to name one of many skills, which Ricky Reed is. Now yes, Ricky Reed has not officially written any lyrics for Twenty One Pilots BUT as a producer for several of their songs you can guarantee he has had a direct influence on what Tyler Joseph writes and how its written for Twenty One Pilots.
Ever wondered how groups and people like Twenty One Pilots, Ed Sheeran, Adele, and many others come up with the HITS just all the time? You think they are just next level GODLY and write songs that seem to be perfect?
Well i got news for ya, even if songs are credited solely to the group or person for writing the lyrics most of the time they have had many people, professional lyricists, songwriters, producers, music writers) helping them write that song.
Sooo why don't they get credit you ask? Well it works out best that way because, the LAST thing you wanna hear when your FAVORITE artist(s), especially ones that seem to sing about personal junk, is "How did you come up with that amazing song and deep lyrics?"
The last thing you wanna hear back is "Oh..well..we kinda made the song but since we are signed with a huge record now and they want us to make LOTS of money for them they kinda made us get professional help and huge majorities rewritten." "Since that would makes us look bad for kinda selling out and lying to our loyal fans. We kinda, for everyone benefit, just say we wrote it by ourselves."
After all officially they are the ones credited for the song which DEFINITELY means no one else could have had ANY part in writing the song.
I really don't get why people so often see it as a bad thing when a song is written and produced by more than one person or band. It's a collaborative effort, and it'd be a detriment to music in general to try to make every single artist do everything themselves. Even the Trent Reznors of the world don't do everything by themselves. The whole attitude kind of reminds me of bands like Green Day or Keane (I think it was keane at least) who try so hard to act like they only have 3 members when there's a bassist or something having to hide behind an amp while he plays

All of their lyrics are essentially just poems Tyler writes, and they have little to no influence on what he does write. I am giving credit where credit is due, to Tyler and Josh.

loved this video, the song is pretty fucking solid, gives me major Portugal the man vibes. transitions between verse - pre chorus - chorus sounded a little abrupt to me idk why it just didn't flow well, harmony in the chorus sounded so nice but vocals in the verse's and pre chorus were a little rough, smooshed with too many lyrics its like a poor man's lsd soundsystem. Ending was so great though, like really great i could feel that chord progression in my veins. catchy chorus but all round forgettable song, still for a week thats a good effort mate.
