Out of all that I've watched to make one this tops them all an to tell everyone please trust her on all the flavors that are mixed in this dish are gunna make this dish Marvelous 🔥🔥
That looks good! You just kicked me um...to the delish zone! Always ready to taste new dishes! Yummy, yum! Waving to you from south Georgia-land of best Peaches, boiled Peanuts, & Vidalia onions!🥘🍲🌭🌮🍕🍟🍿🥗🦐🍝🍠☕🗽🚑🚒🚓
Hello from the SC side of the Augusta area! I have Peanut Patch boiled peanuts in my shopping cart along with the ingredients to make this corn again! 😆
Lemon really won’t give the same flavor that lime gives, but it will still add that bright, fresh citrus flavor. Might be good! Wouldn’t hurt to give it a try if you don’t have (or can’t eat) lime. :)
I just made this today and we love it!! I had to use frozen corn but can't wait to make it again with fresh! Delicious!!! Thanks so much for posting this.
My Mexican corn I add sour cream not crema and add avocado slices and cherry tomatoes, and for crunch pepitas; my chili is jalapeño or habanero whichever I have. No oregano, but yes salt pepper garlic chili powder, lots of lime juice. I share cuz everyone wants the recipe.
Street corn is typically made with margarine. They don’t sell real butter in a squeeze bottle that’s creamy like this. But you can definitely add it to yours.
I hear ya! Everything these days has gone up. I’m definitely spending more on groceries these days. I just saw corn on the cob. They’re.52 cents each. at HEB.
I’m going to make this to go along with chicken tinga and Mexican rice tonight for dinner. Looks so good! My mom can’t eat green peppers, though, so I’m going to use yellow and/or orange instead. Thank you for sharing! ❤
Margarine is typical for street corn but if you prefer, you can add butter. You just can't find it in a squeezable bottle to drizzle it like street corn.. Thanks for watching!
I thought you couldn’t use cast iron on a glass top stove. I need to go buy another skillet. I got rid of mine because I couldn’t afford to replace the stove in my house. My house in Florida had normal burners.
I love my fresh sweet corn on the cob with butter, cracked black pepper and chili powder. When I tell people to try the chili powder, they look at me like what? But when they try it, most can't get enough of it! Cheers!
For cutting the corn, use an Angel Food Cake pan. Put the cob on the cone and cut. The kernels will fall into the pan.
Thank you for sharing the tip!
That's just genius! Dang. 👌🏼😍

Sarah cream is a substitute for the Mayo half-and-half works good too
Could ypu substitute lemon juice for the lime juice
I used lime so yes. 😊

If you put your knife at about a 45 degree angle, cutting the kernels off is much easier. (ft. Jacques Pepin)
Thanks
@@RoseOatley BTW, like your videos. Thanks for putting them out.
Thank you! I’m glad to hear you enjoy them.
Why not use more butter?
Street corn is typically made with margarine. They don’t sell real butter in a squeeze bottle that’s creamy like this. But you can definitely add it to yours.
You had me until margarine!
That’s typical for elote but I’ve used butter as well.
I’m with her, margarine no bueno.
I use butter
So don’t make it traditional? Please show us how you make it…send link to your channel if you even have one.
Rose Oatly is her YT channel
Its easier to cut corn over a bundt pan....theres even a hole in the middle and plenty of space for your kernels
That would work, too. Thanks for watching!
Need some jalapeño in there to change it from Gringo corn to Mexican
You can definitely do that if you want.
I stopped using so much Olive oils I use Bacon grease
Not judging! I like bacon! 😁
I've found Olive oil changes the taste of lots of things I try it in, @@RoseOatley
Try using neutral oils where the flavor is minimal
A year later due to inflation , 6 year of corn $10,455.99 lol

Adding the margarine was just wrong
Margarine is typical for street corn but if you prefer, you can add butter. You just can't find it in a squeezable bottle to drizzle it like street corn.. Thanks for watching!

TAJIN on everything!!!!
I thought you couldn’t use cast iron on a glass top stove. I need to go buy another skillet. I got rid of mine because I couldn’t afford to replace the stove in my house. My house in Florida had normal burners.
I use mine all the time. As long as your gentle when placing it on top and not slam it, you should be fine.
I love my fresh sweet corn on the cob with butter, cracked black pepper and chili powder. When I tell people to try the chili powder, they look at me like what? But when they try it, most can't get enough of it! Cheers!
