White male leads have been flopping, napolean flopped , killer of the flower moon flopped, the northman flopped (all flopped harder then the little mermaid), whites have been making movies for over a century and have no originality left. Copy and paste villains, copy and paste plot, white directors are incapable of making a Black panther like the goat writer director Ryan coogler or subtle horror like jordan peele. White directors can’t pull off a female lead, due to their lack of directing skills, (ryan coogler was able to direct a female and make more box office than james gun mostly men lead (and also beat the northman, napolean and scoresese killers of the flower moon))

But I would not be surprised if Ryan Gosling did not perform I'm Just Ken at the Oscars. It is not unusual for a nominated song to not be performed by the originator in the film. It has happened in the past. Ryan Gosling did not sing City of Stars from La La Land at the ceremony--John Legend did, introduced by Gosling and Emma Stone. But I really would love to see Gosling do it this year--we'll see what happens.
Shame Peaches didn't get nominated for Best Original Song so we won't see Jack Black perform in Bowser's costume but I'd like to see Ryan in Ken's costume.

As an indigenous person; seeing Lily Gladstone be nominated for best Actress in a Leading Role makes me SO PROUD to be indigenous. She deserves it. Well DONE!
Congrats to all the crews, producers and actors of Oppenheimer for the nomination of Oscar in these categories: Actor in a supporting role Costume design Makeup and hair styling Adapted screenplay Actress in a supporting role Original score Production design Film editing Sound Cinematography Actor in a leading role Directing Best picture Fingers crossed! Good luck! I have watched every single Chris Nolan’s films ever since I was a kid. His movies has been a part of my life and his movies are the things that helped me go through tough times and give me a new dream. Oppenheimer was just staggering. It was amazing, I do not have the words to describe my feelings watching that movie. The cinematography, the storyline, the dialogues, the characters, the music, the camera angles, position, lightings, editing, the script, and everything else was just amazing. I have read all the lines of the transcript and I have already rewatched the movie 5 times to better understand it. I also am reading the American Prometheus which is amazing. After my first time watching Oppenheimer, the thoughts and questions I had after watching it stayed with me for weeks, which led me to watch it again and again. I was amazed, it was breathtaking. The cinematography was beautiful and it couldn’t have been better. The fact that Nolan didn’t use cgi for the trinity test scene just made me more inspired. Four stars is not enough for this movie, neither are any stars and ratings in this world. This movie is out of this world and it is a masterpiece. Congrats Nolan on your nomination, it is well deserved 🎉❤ Firstly, Cillian, I am a fan of yours ever since I started loving films at a very young age. I have watched every single movie you are in, and you always inspire me. You gave me a dream of acting, and now I am trying my best to be an amazing actor like you are someday, even if it seems impossible. You are a great man, you are humble, always caring to your loved ones, and your dedication cannot be compared to any other actor in this planet. As a superfan who grew up watching your movies, your acting, almost my entire life, seeing you get this prestigious award, it was just a dream come true. I know you are tired of fame, you know the paparazzi and all are very stressful, and for me too, seeing you having more and more fans makes me sad for some reason, maybe because you are not a unknown, new actor that only I love anymore. I respect your very private life, not involving yourself on social media is a wise choice. I would like to congratulate you for winning this award that you have long deserved. 🎉🎉 Cillian, your movies, your acting was the things that got me through tough times when I couldn't rely on anyone else. When I was lonely and sad, when I was stressed out. Maybe if it wasn't for your movies, I wouldn't be the person I am today. I remember being a young child and teenager, just crying in bed, thinking about how meeting you will be impossible and to be honest, being jealous of your sons and wife hahaha. I have always dreamt of meeting you someday but it is getting harder now, I hope that my dream will come true in the near future. Thank you so much. Your attitude about fame and life is something very inspiring. I never fail to learn something new, something very valuable, something very inspiring from your interviews and your lifestyle. Seeing you in a movie with such a great cast, director and crew was just a dream come true. I had always dreamt of you getting the attention you deserved in the near future and I am glad that now you get the attention you deserve although you deserve more. I would also like to thank you for just being someone to look up to, a role model, for me ever since I was a kid. Thank you so much. This movie, this award and the many awards that you are about to receive is just the beginning. Your talent will soon be revealed to the world and you will get even more attention that you deserve. I am so happy to see you happy in a while, you look very happy here, or maybe it's because I have seen a lot of videos where you don't look very happy. I hope that only happy things will happen to you now, and I hope that my dream will really come true someday. I have supported you from the beginning of your journey until now, and I am proud to call myself a fan of yours. I will always be there to support you until the end of line, and I really hope to meet you and talk to you as a fellow actor. I don't have the words, I don't have the time to type all the things I am grateful to you, all the things you did to make my life better. You now are a part of my life, someone I cannot imagine to live without. Thank you so much for everything, Congratulations on your nomination! Next stop, Academy Award! Can't wait for your speech at the Oscars! ❤
Score and what more? I liked a lot Ryonosuke's acting but a lot of people hated it for being "overacted" when japanese's acting is different... Screenplay too?
Academy, thank you for keeping this short and to the point. No fluff, just the nominations. Great work! You have just upped my chances of watching the broadcast.
I’m totally going for The Boy and the Heron for Best Animated Feature Film!!!! Saw it thrice in theatres!! Totally MUST WIN Best Animated Feature Film!!!! Would you fans agree?!?!?!
Society of the Snow should have also had an Oscar nomination for sound design and Best Picture it was a fantastic film. Acting was superb and the shots were phenomenal
Emma Stone and Lily Gladstone delivered brilliant performance and I'm rooting for both of them. I'm also happy that Sandra Hüller is nominated for best actress as Anatomy of a Fall is one of the best films of 2023. I think Paul Giamatti has a better chance to win as he portrayed such a lovely teacher.
Oppenheimer will be winning most of the major awards for sure. I would be so glad for Nolan, have seen all of his movies and always wondered how has he not won best director award.
It was neat seeing Across the Spider-Verse's Best Animated Feature nomination get announced by someone who was in a different movie with Spider-Verse animation and music composed by Daniel Pemberton.
There were a lot of memorable parts of Barbie, but America Ferrera’s monologue left everyone in the theater in utter reverence and brought every woman who saw it to tears. I watched that movie with my best friend who is a young Latina actress, my conservative white mother, and 3 of my female physician coworkers who all have incredibly different perspectives on what it means to be a woman and ALL of them responded that way. The words Greta Gerwig wrote were an ingredient but Ferrera made them mean something. If an Oscars were worth winning anymore, she would win all of them.
to me the monologue seemed more like a preachy tweet than a heartfelt piece of writing and performance. (and i agreed with the words themselves.) i also know other women who thought this way. but it is still lovely to see how many people it has resonated with.
They have snubbed Daniel Pemberton and You have nominated 'Anatomy of Fall' in Best Picture category but not in international feature film category. What a logic!
The deadline for IF ended a month before Minus One released in Japan. Tbh, I don’t think the studio expected the film to hit as hard as it did, otherwise they probably would have done a pre-release screening for voters.
And how did none of the actors for Society of the snow stand in line for a nomination? The level of detail that Bayona went into for this film was also outstanding I should’ve gotten him nominated for the director’s category. I wish they’d submitted for more categories if they hadn’t because that was hands down one of the best films to have been created, not only based on the result but the process the had undergone and the heart they put in with each step. Yes there are good and entertaining films that are well done. But this was something beyond cinema. It is a transformative film, so different to countless others and it deserves its flowers. From the actors, to the make up and costume team to the research teams and the victims families…I’m just left speechless. This film deserves, SERIOUSLY deserves way more than wins and recognition than it has received this far!
Imagine putting in more hours than actors behind the scenes, and you are nominated for an Oscar for your achievements, and all the research, time, development, the team, the stories, the loss of time has paid off and the morning is here, and to be sitting here waiting for your name to be called out... and they don't bother to read the names for time.
Guys, as long Elemental doesn’t win, everything’s gonna be okay. Please let’s pray for whatever Across the Spiderverse or Nimona win over Pixar, so we are going to have another W in animation industry!!!

@subhashismandal9871 yeah and the role is Paul Giamatti in The Holdovers, he is overdue and was easily the best of the year. Go watch the film before you start riding Cillian for no reason
Anatomy Of A Fall got 5 nominations including Best Picture without France backing it up for a campaign is iconic
I’d like to know how the Academy actually picked something that wasn’t FYC’d to death.
Love how Zazie sounded just as surprised as us when reading the nominations lol
GODZILLA MINUS ONE GETS NOMINATED!!! And I couldn’t be happier! Go watch it if you haven’t already!
7:02 she did it! She said the thing! Amber from Invincible said “Invincible”!
Now THAT’S a superb Best Animated Feature line up.
Also, congrats to Robert D!!!
It’s Spiderverse’s award
De Niro or Downey JR? Lol
@@WernerSNazondefinitely. If it wins the PGA and bafta then it will.
I'm a little sad Suzume isn't on there, but that was always a long shot
thank god the academy wasn't stupid enough to put Wish up there
Indiana making score over Spider-Verse feels like a thousand all quiet’s winning over babylon. What a fumble
All Quiet soundtrack was perfect. Babylon was really good, no question but All Quiet deserved it!
@@benny_lam At least for me, All Quiet felt like Dunkirk mixed with some Brian Eno. Nothing truly original. Sorry if this sounds hate-ish. Have a nice day.
Literally insane that they picked it over Spiderverse. ATSV was snubbed probably the hardest in these nominations with only 1 nominations when it’s in the top 3 highest acclaimed movies this year but since it’s animated we won’t see it get the recognition it deserves
@@nachosniewolnosci3147 I mean, to be fair, Babylon was just classical hollywood composition mixed with jazz, it's also not very original.
Not just Spiderverse, but also Boy and the Heron and the score of Zone of Interest, both of which were honestly my two favorites of the year.
No Greta for directing is criminally negligent
I know that’s a shame
I don't mind they put in justine triet
It's ok others are more deserving
I don’t agree, because barbie is one of the worst movies i’ve ever seen
kinda based imo ngl
We...japanese and funs of godzilla all of the world are proud of this nominee.
Thank you and congratulations, Mr.Yamazaki !
It should have been nominated for more categories ...
The boy and the heron is gonna sweep animated feature film
Correct! Spider-verse is boring to me, just another Marvel merchandise extravaganza.🙄
@@elmarakovideoMarvel didn’t even make spiderverse, Sony did
@@elmarakovideoAlso, after hearing that Phil Lord and Chris Miller made the animators overworked and underpaid, I think The Boy & The Heron would deserve the title.
I've got really happy with Godzilla Minus One nomination. Deserved more.
I’m more happy that Godzilla finally gets an Oscar nom. And it’s the Toho Godzilla!!!! All the years when 2014 Godzilla should’ve got the nom instead of Winter Soldier and X-men Days of Future Past! And 2019 King of the Monsters didn’t even get shortlisted but somehow Cats got to the second round. Yet they still love their King Kong giving Skull Island from the same monster verse the nomination
Come on get my boy Godzilla a Oscar deserves it after 70 years
I am so Happy for Spain! my country for "La Sociedad de la Nieve"!!!! 2 nominations!...Viva España! Vamos a ganar 🎉✌️
It deserved for Original Score and best picture though.
Don’t forget another Spanish film: Robot Dreams.
They deserved BEST PICTURE TOO!!!
What the hell, I'm so mad there's Barbie there but not Society of the Snow! 😵
ojala ganen algunoo aca en latam tmb apoyamos 💪🏼

I'm a huge Godzilla fan and im so glad to hear Godzilla Minus One actually got nominated, as well with Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse.
And Robert Downey Jr 🙌🏻
おめでとうゴジラ!日本人としてとても誇らしいです!!
Godzilla Minus One should have been in best international feature film! The story was so good! Easily one of the best movies of 2023. I am glad it got nominated for visual effects. I hope they win!
Japan didn't submit it in that category, so it wasn't eligible.
And easily in best score too
As an indigenous person; seeing Lily Gladstone be nominated for best Actress in a Leading Role makes me SO PROUD to be indigenous. She deserves it. Well DONE!
18:15 ゴジラ-1.0視覚効果賞ノミネート!
So glad Godzilla finally got the recognition it deserves.

Best picture
Fingers crossed!
Congrats Nolan on your nomination, it is well deserved 🎉❤
Firstly, Cillian, I am a fan of yours ever since I started loving films at a very young age.

The Iron Claw should have gotten some love.
I agree
I’m totally going for The Boy and the Heron for Best Animated Feature Film!!!! Saw it thrice in theatres!! Totally MUST WIN Best Animated Feature Film!!!! Would you fans agree?!?!?!
I hope you see Robot Dreams it is fantastic.
No, Spider-verse deserves it over it. It’s a really good film but ATSV was just better to me by a good margin

Society of the Snow should have also had an Oscar nomination for sound design and Best Picture it was a fantastic film. Acting was superb and the shots were phenomenal
The animated film category would be perfect if they change Elemental for Suzume
I agree. I’m thankful it wasn’t Super Mario Bros or Wish.
Should have changed Spider-verse for Suzume.
@elmarakovideo Spiderverse webs circles around Elemental.
Anatomy of a fall best picture OMG YES
Baribe was a disgusting misandrist movie with terrible writing and an awful plot, no terrible cheap movie like that will ever win an oscar, get real
7:24 R.I.P Once Upon a Studio 😢, but the fact that Jared “Nacho Libre” Hess is now an Oscar nominee is absolutely hilarious 😂.
Let's go Emma! Hoping she becomes the first of her generation to win a second oscar!
I have never seen Jack Quaid speak in this tone, love it 😍
Godzilla Minus One should've also been nominated for Best Picture but I'm going to pray for Oppenheimer to win
Oppenheimer is prequel to minus one
Cillian Murphy will win an Oscar as an actor in a leading role 100% pretty sure about that 💯
I hope so!! I really thought he was going to take the critics choice awards! 😢
I hope you are 110% right ... 💚 Cillian Murphy 👌
They have snubbed Daniel Pemberton and You have nominated 'Anatomy of Fall' in Best Picture category but not in international feature film category. What a logic!
GODZILLA Perfect days Hayao Miyazaki🎉
its time for Mark Ruffalo to get an Oscar tbh ✨
That category beoong to RDJ for sure ,Rufallo will try next year
I think RDJ will win
RDJ will UNDESERVINGLY win. His performance was the weakest out of all of them, but I think it's more of a career Oscar than a performance one.

🤞To see *Oppenheimer* win the *Best Picture* and *Nolan* winning *Best Director*
Godzilla not getting international feature is ridiculous
The deadline for IF ended a month before Minus One released in Japan. Tbh, I don’t think the studio expected the film to hit as hard as it did, otherwise they probably would have done a pre-release screening for voters.
18:17 Godzilla Minus One
Yeah it deserved so much more recognition than it got !
Them’s the breaks?
I’m so happy they actually nominated Godzilla
So so happy for Robot Dreams on the animated list. It is incredible. Shame it didn’t get a Sound nomination.
Let's go! Emily Blunt finally scored her first Oscar nod!
True, but some of those names read like Mad Lib jumbles. Next year will be an AI announcer who looks like Greta Garbo.
La Sociedad de la Nieve/ Society of the Snow, vamos!
Thank goodness Godzilla Minus One got a nomination. Shocking to hear Napoleon got some nominations.
So happy for The society of Snow , such a wonderful story , cast and director. Hope they win ❤
GODZILLA MINUS ONE. A FCKN MASTERPIECE. SO DESERVED. 10-12 MILLION DOLLAR BUDGET OK.
