I am a beginner at making these costumes. My daughter is going to be 11 in 15 days and wants to be her own furry she designed for Halloween!! I'm hoping to put my own together after hers cause I want her dream to come true and to see those tears of joy as she sees herself as a furry. (Sorry for the late response [like REALLY late] ) How to fur these legs: 1:Stuff them with either appear old clothes towels etc until it’s hard enough to work on 2:start taping them with either duct tape or masking tape to get a pattern for the fur. 3:draw on the markings on the tape 4: cut it out and place the tape side DOWN and trace 5:cut out fur 6: continue step five until all pieces are done, later sew each part together (Left leg) (right leg) (waist) etc. 7:Glue it on Ta-Da you have fursuit legs!

Furring them is the easy part. It's just like if you did straight legs! If you wanna save yourself some effort, you can cover them in syran wrap and then duct tape it so it's easy to remove. Don't just pull the roll around yourself or you'll have too tight of a fit and it won't be good in the end; just tear off strips and make sure they overlap a little. Then you can use that as your pattern ^^
You sew the fur like you would a normal plantigrade bodysuit, or a sleeve basically. Then you put the legs into the suit, and then you put yourself into the suit.
There are just so many tutorials on how to make fursuits but this is the best one I have found for digitigrade legs, this will really help me when I am making my fursuit
i think being a fursuit maker is one of the best jobs out there, as you get to make money doing what you like, AND make other people happy! im probably gonna be a fursuit maker when i grow up

Yeah it might take longer to put that video together so I'll just tell you: Tape up the legs in masking tape not duct tape then draw a loop line around/between top of the "calf" padding and the bottom of the "thigh/knee" padding. Then draw one line from the loop/top of calf padding to the bottom and another line from the front bottom of the thigh/knee padding to the top. Edit to your liking depending on the fur pattern and you can add a dart line or "nick" horizontally across the center of both paddings if it still won't lie flat.

I must say that you make some of the greatest digi legs. I don't really like the bulky digi designs and I dislike planties aswell, but this "slim" design us the way to go. ;)

ClassicCutie yes. When u fur them. Flip them inside out and when u put them in the washing machine put it on delicate and cold. I don’t suggest putting ur legs with dark colors if ur legs are light colors and if ur legs are dark don’t put them with light colors.

My friends are a little weird about it whenever I tell them that I want to make a fursuit. My mom is really against it she keeps sending me links to people who have dressed up in fursuit that are perverts or criminals. But I don't care I'm still going to try to make one at some point.

I Immediately NEED to make these. Being part of the plus sized fluffy variety I definitely DO NOT need any of those bulky legs. One I dont sweat properly so if I get too hot in my suit from too much foam Imma Legit DIE. Sorry if i'm late, but how I made my nose was just shape some colored clay and bake it, but you could also just make a oval shape (or whatever shape you want your nose to be) with foam and then make the shape out of some soft fabric, put the foam in it, hand sew it up, then glue it to your head (sorry if I explained it weird :p)
honestly this is probably the first leg tutorial that's actually helped me! i have a few questions tho! - how would you go about furring this? - how would you wash it? i'm guessing the suits all one piece?
I'm assuming if she put the fur right on the legs, then you would do it just like you would clean the head. Basically spot cleaning. Miss Wolfe has a great tutorial on how to clean the head.
I was wondering that too because typically people don’t attach the foam so they can clean everything so the leggings would be impossible to actually clean.

Is this the only way to make fursuit feet that are attached to the legs? Because having shoes that have the foam paws glued to them would be better for going outside and stuff compared to having tights on your feet and against the ground. I'm just curious if you can still have the paws modeled around sneakers and still have them attached to the suit, or would you have to make feet paws and legs separate? P.S- Love your hair!

if you are trying to do this one person, i think either if you want the full dummy get a person to tape you up, or completely by yourself you could only tape up to your waist but since these are only digitilegs i dont see as why a half dummy would be a problem :3

walmart is the best for foam as it is much less money than joanns. fabric.com for fur is cheaper and in stock more than fursuitsupplies.com . hope this helps!

Absolutely love this look! Just one question, how is it to wash? I'm assuming you dont glue the fur down to the foam and you can wash it seperatly and just make sure the foam is completely dry before storing but I very well may be completely wrong, haha. Thanks so much for the video!
I LOVE slim digigrade legs on suit. They look so much neater and proportional than the regular bulky ones imo. Hopefully I can make my own suit one day.

Try using thick wire to make a normal short tail stand up, then sew the creases together.

I have a question, when you were talking about putting something over the bottom of the feet. Does that mean we can use the bottom or the whole shoe?
can you guys maybe do a fursuit nose tutorial ?
Sorry if i'm late, but how I made my nose was just shape some colored clay and bake it, but you could also just make a oval shape (or whatever shape you want your nose to be) with foam and then make the shape out of some soft fabric, put the foam in it, hand sew it up, then glue it to your head (sorry if I explained it weird :p)
honestly this is probably the first leg tutorial that's actually helped me!

I'm assuming if she put the fur right on the legs, then you would do it just like you would clean the head. Basically spot cleaning. Miss Wolfe has a great tutorial on how to clean the head.
I was wondering that too because typically people don’t attach the foam so they can clean everything so the leggings would be impossible to actually clean.

Is this the only way to make fursuit feet that are attached to the legs?
Because having shoes that have the foam paws glued to them would be better for going outside and stuff compared to having tights on your feet and against the ground. I'm just curious if you can still have the paws modeled around sneakers and still have them attached to the suit, or would you have to make feet paws and legs separate?

You can, and I'd suggest it! lol Or make yourself a Duct-Tape-Dummy first then put the tights on that and hot glue the foam on it.

if you are trying to do this one person, i think either if you want the full dummy get a person to tape you up, or completely by yourself you could only tape up to your waist but since these are only digitilegs i dont see as why a half dummy would be a problem :3

walmart is the best for foam as it is much less money than joanns. fabric.com for fur is cheaper and in stock more than fursuitsupplies.com . hope this helps!

Absolutely love this look! Just one question, how is it to wash? I'm assuming you dont glue the fur down to the foam and you can wash it seperatly and just make sure the foam is completely dry before storing but I very well may be completely wrong, haha. Thanks so much for the video!

Oh my goodness! I was watching a fursuit refurbishing video and remembered this video from when I watched it when it first came out. You guys got me into fursuiting and even inspired me to make my own fursuit! I’ve been out of the fandom for a while but I still love the fandom a ton!
Thanks for having this tutorial on youtube, my fursuit needed slimmer legs to fit my fursona. All the tutorials I found were for bulkier legs, but my fursona is very slim and flexible and I was going to wear her fursuit for dancing. And again, THANK YOU.
