    Quick closeup if anyone is curious. Here's a link to the build. Check out my other videos to see it in more detail! It's solid at 5.0ghz. It can easily run 5.1ghz under 1.33v. Wonder if it'll go 5.2ghz with such ease? 🤔. I can share all of my settings and benchmarks if anyone is curious. Let me know.

    just set this one up, and realized, that it leaves no space for 4rd RAM... but i think, when i will ready for full ram set-i will just set the pump bottom up. Cant see other ways..

    Pretty much the exact same build as me. Only difference is 2070-2080
    (And the case)
    Clock that CPU up to 5GHz and have at it!

      Nice! I do run 5Gz 1.32V, LLC mode 3 these days. I was fortunate enough to actually get a 3070 on launch day, but I'm still after a 3080.... at msrp 😅. You gotta sweet build man. I love mine.

      @@TheSmileyTek is post a picture if I could. Definitely a beast. And yea 🥺 I wanted a better option for my GPU, since I do VR I’m always pushing it really hard In order to do ultra settings on my games. I wanted a 2080ti but I think by the time I could afford one, the 30s will come back at retail,
      So I’ll probably shoot for an 3080ti when I’m able to, not sure if it’s even out yet but it doesn’t matter.
      This is my first build so I’m content with it for now. One things I’d hate to do is have to revamp my whole build just to get PCIe 4.0 capability. I doubt they’ll have a 3 to 4 adapter. Probably doesn’t and won’t ever exist lol

      It doesn't tbh. I had to rotate it 180deg to have the hoses on the left side. stretches the usb cable a little, but it works fine.

    why are the aio fans behind the radiator? i dont understand this faan config assuming top and back fans are exhaust fans

    • @TheSmileyTek
      @TheSmileyTek  Год назад

      Sure. The aio fans pull air in through the radiator. Pull configuration. The thought is that it's easier to clean dust off the radiator fins (with a quick rinse) than it is the fan blades. It sort of acts kind of like a dust filter. Top and back fans are exhaust. I set the top exhaust fans to a lower speed so the air coming in can make it to the rear of the case without being drawn directly out of the top. I have upgraded to 11700K and a 3080 since those days. Still having a blast with my toy though, that's for sure.

      @@TheSmileyTek i have the same config but with the fans in front of the radiator. What about temps? are they decent?

    • @TheSmileyTek
      @TheSmileyTek  Год назад

      Oh yeah, temps are fine considering now have an 11700K, which runs hotter than my 10700K did. Idles around 38C. Gaming is around 62 - 68. Could be better, but I have it OC'd to 5.0Ghz @ 1.417 V (which is higher than I'd like, but no issues with it over 1.4 V. My 10700K was definitely a better silicon sample, but the 11700K has a slight performance boost in comparison.

    hi, I wanted to have some information on the connectors. I'm making a very similar PC and, reading the instructions, they don't explain very well where to attach the various heatsink connectors to the motherboard. So if you can, could you please tell me where you attached the pins on the motherboard (the heatsink pins)? thank you so much.

    • @TheSmileyTek
      @TheSmileyTek  3 года назад +1

      What's up. I have a little different setup now, but in this footage, I have a Thermal Take fan hub. The "master" fan cable is plugged into the cpu fan header, and the pump is connected to the pump header on the motherboard. You can use either header on the motherboard. If you have an NZXT cooler, you will use the CAM software to control the pump, and you will set the CPU (4 pin) fan curve in the BIOS. However, I would suggest, plugging the pump into the pump header, and getting a NZXT fan hub for the AIO fans. That way you can set the fan curve using the CAM software. You could plug the pump into the CPU fan header if you prefer (that's what the instructions actually say). No need to be nervous about your decision of where to plug everything in. You're just giving them power. You'll be fine using any of the fan/pump headers, and you'll start to figure out what you prefer very quickly after installing everything. Let me know if you'd like more input. Hope this helps. It can be confusing.

      No kidding. I had to rotate it to fit in 2 more sticks. The aio USB cable is stretched to the max, from the pump.

    so i just bought this mobo, and i have the same cooler. is there enough rgb pins to support the cooler, case, and 2 fans?

    • @TheSmileyTek
      @TheSmileyTek  4 года назад +1

      Nice! Here are the fan/rgb headers available on this board:
      1 CPU Fan hdr
      1 Pump Hdr (can use for a fan)
      6 Sys Fan Hdrs
      2 Addressable RGB hdrs
      2 RGB LED Hdrs
      Also
      2 USB 2.0 (you'll need these)
      I'd suggest grabbing an NZXT Fan Hub from Amazon as well. You won't regret it. It will allow you to control your radiator fans in NZXT Cam software. Otherwise, you'll want to plug the fans into a different hub and plug that hub into the CPU_Fan hdr. The BIOS will control the fans if you don't have a hub, but they're PWM so any header will do. Just set them to CPU temp of course. Grab that NZXT Fan Hub
