I have to slightly disagree about not getting back together. My parents were together for a year then they had problems parted ways and then years later they got back together and they've been married 25 years now. I mean that is a rare circumstance but I think if there is some feeling still there for the other person the worst thing you could do to yourself is not try and then ask yourself what if. If after a week or two it's not going well then sure you tried and it didn't work. If it doesn't fail though you may just be incredibly happy.

With my ex, i could just tell the passion was gone. i was starting to be afraid of her. not cause she did anything physically, but because if i did the slightest thing that was wrong in her eyes, she would just grow cold, say that i didnt love her and what not. she wasnt in the best of shape mentally and it was really getting to me. so one day i just flat out ended it. last time i talked to her was about a week later when she kept bugging me to talk. after that, i never talked to her again and that was about 2 months ago

Contrary to the usual of when people break up never to get back together, I dated my boyfriend briefly a long while ago, and some things happened, and we ended our relationship. A couple of years later we got back together and we're going on 3 years strong now :) We've never been happier. I was always one to say to NEVER go back to an ex, but, I suppose there exceptions..sometimes.

I agree on not getting back... To put it simply. There was a reason why it didn't work in the 1st place. If it could be dealt with, you'd work things out before breaking up.
On your "dont get back together, it doesnt work out" bit, my I dated my current girlfriend in high school and she was my first kiss. I broke up with her to go enjoy the thrill of the chase wherever it brought me and we didnt speak for three years, until she needed someone to be with her in the hospital to take her home after a surgery. After traveling 400 miles and a week of me taking care of her, we've been dating for almost a year and we're moving in together in a month. Just thought I'd share that with you.
Oh my god I agree with the dating an ex again stuff. I did it once. NEVER AGAIN. It was so dumb, I just was lonely and it was like I had amnesia over what was wrong with the relationship in the first place. THERE WAS A REASON YOU BROKE UP IN THE FIRST PLACE. REMEMBER IT.

Where were you when my last relationship went sour. So could have used the advice of when its over, its over. I'm a hopeless romantic so I thought we could have gotten back together, but you are right. It started with needing some space and ended with a LOT of heart break. I have two aunts who both married their high school sweethearts after "taking breaks" a few times. Talk to them about it now, they'll tell you it was bullshit and stupid, but it was something that really helped them prioritize their lives at the time.
Not to discount what you said, though. My personal experience in that department didn't wind up the same way, but even now I try to avoid burning bridges or slamming doors, because who knows what 6 months or a year will do. Don't wait around and get hung up on things, but just take a step back and assess things and see what happens. No matter what, you'll end up where you're supposed to.
Everytime anyone says Gundam Wing I die of happiness just a little bit inside. Bought the bluray bundle, it looks sew good.
I randomly thought of this. You could use the hash-tag #AsTheMegTurns. It made me laugh because you answer a lot of questions about relationships, which helps with drama, and it fits your name into it. And to answer your question, I do laugh at stupid things.
Gotta agree with TheTwuh...you never know if you try. Sometimes I've tried to get back with en ex, and if the problem that was there before is never addressed, then you'll always have that hanging over your relationship. However, if the problem is fixed during the separation, and both people can look at each other and still share that love that they found before...anything can happen.
You should have an outro too. Even if it's the same as the intro. Idk, I just think it'll look fancy pants.

I don't think getting back together with someone you have broken up with is necessarily a bad idea. But, if you do, it should be after some significant time, and only if you communicate and both see eye to eye on things you didn't. Sometimes people get into rough spots in their life and sometimes their perspectives can change and the things that were issues aren't anymore. As a rule of thumb, I'd agree, cause most people don't change that much, but sometimes the break up sends people on a path of change that would make the two people more compatible

I just signed in just so i could comment on this...... imma guy over 25 and married, i will def say that the timeline... is bullshit... you are so correct, im glad you cashed in that quest and got the real XP from those situations :D
I think getting back together with someone after a break up or after taking a break is a bad idea because it sets a precedent. If the break up happened because someone cheated/lied/did something wrong, getting back together with that person shows them they can get away with it and it shows yourself how little you care about yourself to get back together with someone who hurt you.
Obviously not all breakups are that intense, or caused by misdeeds of one party or another. Sometimes shit just doesn't work out, but even then I think it sets a bad precedent of not being able to move on and find someone who isn't a "rainy day" partner.
I'm sure other people feel differently, but this is what I have learned in my experiences.

I agree with getting back together being a bad idea, whatever reasons caused the initial breakup will happen again and it's just a waste of time.
Sailor Moon and Gundam Wing fanfiction = Sailor Scouts piloting Gundams. This later led to the inception of Nobell Gundam.
There is a Ted Talk video out there that talks about copyright and the fashion industry and how nothing in that industry is copyrighted (not the names like Coach those are trademarked). However in that video the woman also said that you can not copyright a costume.
Idk if you read your comments but I really think you should do a sourcefed meet up thing in nz. I don't know how big the sf fandom is in nz, I know people that love you but idk if it's enough for a meet up but you could do something different and just see if you can score something for sf nerd like do some LOTR tour around nz or something.
My point is please come to nz, you really are a massive inspiration to me, all of you guys are and I would love to meet you guys.
I think there are some situations that you can get back together with someone. I'm in one right now and we've each had others in between and I don't know, it's really working for us. We're both completely different people now and it's like starting a completely new relationship :)

I gotta say, from being on the other end of a "break" before breaking up, it's really pointless. I found out a few weeks after we broke up that she was using the "break" time to get over me, and the only way we'd continue with the relationship was if I showed improvement (which I'll totally say I needed to, but didn't.) So when I talked to her, she was already moved on, and I was (still kinda am) in the throes of sadness over the end of our relationship. Not exactly something I'd be willing to repeat.

If you have a tough "A or B" style decision try this: Assign heads and tails, flip a coin but leave it covered for just a second. In that moment, you may find yourself thinking "I really hope this is heads" - If so, choose heads and never look at the coin. If not, reveal and go with the coin.

Have to disagree. My wife and I did not live togather before we got married. When you vow to love someone no matter what you take them and everything that comes with them.
i agree and disagree sometimes people can fight over the dumbest things like say he/she likes to leave the dishes pile up then wash them while the other cleans them after use some people take this really seriously and argue over these things which then lead to "why am i gonna be with someone im gonna argue with all the time"
some people's way of living is completely different than others. some people act completely different in public than they do home. I don't think its LIVE WITH ME OR ELSE. But i think what meg is trying to say that sometimes it could be the difference between a longer relation and a short one. Some things can be looked past but sometimes it can't

Hey Meg completely random question, but I happened to notice the Song of Ice and Fire series behind you and I was curious if you have read them all, and how good they are? I got it for Christmas and I'm only a third of the way through the first book, but I'm loving it so far.

Okay is it super weird how I clicked on this video because I'm having problems with a girl I'm in love with, and the person who ask the question I wanted answered has the same first name as me, when meg was like oh Hunter I was like WHAT.
Meg is pretty and pesonable, but why would anyone ask a twenty-somthing, with minimal experience in life for relationship advice?
Just because you are older doesn't mean you are wiser in that respect. I have seen plenty of men and women in their 40's and 50's that are still immature and can't have a successful relationship. It just depends. Relationships are one of those things you continuously learn from. I am 30 years old and still learning from my marriage.
How do you know she's only had minimal experience? I'm only 28 yet I've experienced a lot more than most people do in 40 years. I've also met people younger than I who have experienced more than I have. It all depends on the person. For all I know, you've experienced many things I have not and may not ever get to.
You also should take into account the age range of the people asking these questions, who are probably in their teens. What teen in their right mind wants relationship advice from a married 40-year-old?
Some younger ppl can have a lot of experience and u can always get those 'old heads on young shoulders' so age isn't so much the problem. More of a problem (which is actually a problem for most advice givers and ask Deirdre type columns etc) is that they are women...yea seriously. Not being sexist but it general women give terrible relationship advice...the answer to why is complicated. But to simplify women don't know how men think and women idealise/romanticise situations thus not giving u a real perspective. It's not that they are intentionally lying as in their head its what they believe about themselves or other, so more often than not they will give u the answers they'd like to be the case rather than what actually is the case

I have to agree with the getting back together with a ex. I am on talking terms with all but 1 of my ex-girlfriends. I have gotten back together with 2 of them. The longest it lasted was 2 months. It's not that I don't still have feelings for them, hell I have 3 god-children from 3 different ex's. It's just that it didn't work, and getting back together reminded both of us why (99% of it I am willing to take blame for).

In regards to cosplay prints, that's my personal beef with people selling prints based off of someone else's successful design. It feels like some of them are getting a free ride because of a pre-existing fan base and it's infuriating when they call it "their art" or "art" yet they'll never design and craft a character of their own because they know it wouldn't go over. Well, how do you think the original content creators felt when they started from scratch? I don't monetarily support cosplayer's hobby because all they deserve is love and respect and I wish the rest of the community would do so as well.

I think the big companies going after Cosplayers is as bad as big companies going after gaming channels on RUclips. At the end of the day like you said it is free advertising...
