    Man, Martin really hit the nail on the head about conspiracy theories. It's very comforting having a "solution/explanation" for every problem. It's extremely unsettling for the human mind to sit there and just say, "I don't know" or "I am admitting that I am completely ignorant to this". People feel like they need to know, or be in the know. And they feel the need to hold it over others, that they know. It's an ego thing at the end of the day.

      People also want to feel like there's someone or something in control of everything that happens, that's also comforting. The "man" makes everything happen or not happen. The reality is most leaders barely have any idea what they're doing. They're just fallible people trying to get through life like anyone else.

    Since Martin didn't want to go into the details of his criminal charges he was convicted of, thought I'd leave this information from the justice department here:
    As charged in Count Three, between 2009 and 2014, Shkreli used false representations and omissions to induce investors to invest more than $3 million in MSMB Capital, a hedge fund he founded in 2009. Subsequently, following trading losses, Shkreli sent fabricated performance updates to investors, boasting that the fund had made big profits when, in fact, it had sustained substantial losses. In addition, Shkreli withdrew more than $200,000 from MSMB Capital, far more than the one percent management fee and the 20 percent net profit incentive allocation permitted by the fund’s partnership agreement.
    As charged in Count Six, between 2011 and 2014, Shkreli used false representations and omissions to induce investors to invest more than $5 million in MSMB Healthcare, a hedge fund founded by Shkreli after the implosion of MSMB Capital. Additionally, Shkreli used MSMB Healthcare assets to pay obligations that were not MSMB Healthcare’s responsibility. As with the MSMB Capital scheme, Shkreli withdrew more from MSMB Healthcare than the one percent management fee and the 20 percent net profit incentive allocation permitted by the fund’s partnership agreement.
    As charged in Count Eight, between 2012 and 2014, Shkreli and his co-defendant Evan Greebel, an attorney who served as outside counsel to Retrophin, engaged in a scheme to defraud investors and potential investors in Retrophin by attempting to illegally control the price and trading volume of Retrophin’s stock. Greebel and Shkreli executed this scheme by, among other things, concealing Shkreli’s beneficial ownership and control of the majority of Retrophin’s free-trading shares. Greebel and Shkreli recruited associates of Shkreli to be nominee shareholders for the majority of Retrophin’s free-trading shares, and they also filed a false document with government regulators to hide the fact that Shkreli controlled those shares. Greebel and Shkreli prevented the nominee shareholders from selling these shares, and also directed that some of the shares be used to settle liabilities owed by the MSMB hedge funds and Shkreli.

      When you're in the realm of just people, yeah, perspective is a big portion of the meta game. When, however, you're trying to get the best grip on lower-level facts (is a specific person alive or dead, did this mofo actually arrive at and hold up the bank, does Boron in fact have one proton more than Beryllium?) - and be dispassionate and as "objective" as possible - this element of (mere) human perspective is no longer an aid but a detriment.

    • @jamessmyth5949

    • @vevenaneathna
      @vevenaneathna 3 месяца назад +3

      @@dancechica lol for most patients bactrim is as effective. you really want daraprim if they have low cd4 count and are hospitalized with that weird pneumonia that hiv people get. its pretty rare though now with how effective HAART is. i would say in 99% of the cases, he is right. most patients with hiv are on bactrim long term already for MAC and so once they end up having PCP pneumonia they really need daraprium since they will already usually have presumed resistance to sulfa abx

That’s why there is a gap in win rates from state to federal. The feds have unlimited resources and the state not so much to investigate. If the fbi arrest you your pretty much fucked. It's funny how big this guy was when i was in highschool & now i am sitting on the toilet in college having the ability to reach out to this dude. I once had an argument when i was like 14 with the guy who wrote the black people song zflo. I called him racist and he legit was going back and forth me with about the fact that he was black so it was okay. It kinda makes you feel important which is the point that martin was making about twitter & trolling.

    You guys should really get Joel Salatin on. Tai Lopez mentioned him in one of your podcasts. After listening to Martin Shreli, I think Salatin would be a really interesting counterpoint. Salatin would say that spending XX% of GDP on Healthcare isn't necessary. Anyways, he would be a cool guest. His business acumen is also great.
