Beyond his daily workout, he doesn't prepare really, he even has a hard time getting excited for a fight, the only reason he joined this tournament is the money, and that was the correct way to write the character. Every time he even finds someone strong, he commiserates with them on how boring and lonely having such strength can be. He'd probably find Goku's enthusiasm for always finding a stronger opponent amusing, considering how well his search in that area has been going. He'd probably feel that wishing that opponent into existence would kind of defeat the purpose and ruin the fun. Trust me, if he didn't wish to wish for something as ridiculous as always knowing when the Saturday sale is on, he'd wish for some equally as ridiculous, like getting an early release copy of the newest game coming out, so he could practice it before King got a copy and try to beat him at least once to regain some honor!

My only issue is if Cooler had reached a golden form (which very much competes with the gods), being sent to a star is nowhere enough to defeat him, and if majin buu can survive saitama’s punch, golden cooler definitely can too. On one hand, this is full of a lot of call backs, on the other hand. It's amazing how much attention to detail the author has and there ability to pay respect to both universes through an understanding of characters, that honestly, you just don't see in most fans. Thanks for sharing both this story and the Yamcha one 👊🏾
King is pretty cowardly and not a real fighter. it is theorized that his power is that he can warp reality to save himself and that he gave Saitama his super strength by altering Saitama without either noticing it. He just happens to be in the right place to get the credit and the wrong place to always place himself in danger.
I wouldn't necessarily call it unpopular. King isn't a fighter, he's just your average, everyday guy who's got a bad habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The only possible power he actually has is always lucking out that Saitama just happens to be nearby to save King whenever he's about to die. Meanwhile, for all the joking and showboating and tomfoolery that Mr. Satan exhibits, a lot of people forget that he's actually a trained martial artist, and by non-Z Fighter standards (i.e. normal martial artists), he's actually pretty powerful and skilled. He's got the speed and endurance to go the distance with normal people, and in a fight against other trained, but not super powered, fighters, he can hold his own. Since King wouldn't actually be in mortal peril fighting Hercule, Saitama wouldn't show up, and Mr. Satan would actually win (barring King's or Satan's horrible luck notwithstanding).

Seriously, I wouldn't even mind if they would combine and introduce these two worlds officially like this.
My only issue is if Cooler had reached a golden form (which very much competes with the gods), being sent to a star is nowhere enough to defeat him, and if majin buu can survive saitama’s punch, golden cooler definitely can too. Especially given that golden cooler and even gohan tbh scales higher than anyone saitama has faced. And those are people that have withstood his punches too

On one hand, this is full of a lot of call backs, on the other hand. It's amazing how much attention to detail the author has and there ability to pay respect to both universes through an understanding of characters, that honestly, you just don't see in most fans. Unpopular opinion: Hercule would wipe the floor with King if it would ever happen.
Culture Montana well King has no powers. Hercule canonically is fast enough to dodge smg fire...
King is pretty cowardly and not a real fighter. it is theorized that his power is that he can warp reality to save himself and that he gave Saitama his super strength by altering Saitama without either noticing it. He just happens to be in the right place to get the credit and the wrong place to always place himself in danger.
I wouldn't necessarily call it unpopular. King isn't a fighter, he's just your average, everyday guy who's got a bad habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The only possible power he actually has is always lucking out that Saitama just happens to be nearby to save King whenever he's about to die.
Meanwhile, for all the joking and showboating and tomfoolery that Mr. Satan exhibits, a lot of people forget that he's actually a trained martial artist, and by non-Z Fighter standards (i.e. normal martial artists), he's actually pretty powerful and skilled. He's got the speed and endurance to go the distance with normal people, and in a fight against other trained, but not super powered, fighters, he can hold his own.
Since King wouldn't actually be in mortal peril fighting Hercule, Saitama wouldn't show up, and Mr. Satan would actually win (barring King's or Satan's horrible luck notwithstanding).
