📑 How to use Workspaces in Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge Workspaces is a feature that allows users to create and share groups of browser tabs for different tasks or purposes.
Users can name and color-code each group, and the tabs are automatically saved and updated for everybody, giving a chance to stay on the same view.

Hey Giuliano, I have a problem. When I am making a workspace and opening pdf files that are stored on my computer, and then close my session, why is it so that I could only see only webpages of the previous session opened but those pdf tabs are now replaced with "new tab" when I open my workspace again. I think everything should be stored from previous session.
I mean when i am not using workspace, ie use edge normally, pdf from previous session opens automatically. Is there any fix to this ?

Thank you for commenting, I'm afraid this is the behavior working with workspaces, the only option available is upload the pdf file somewhere so that it is reachable by others

Hi, will the Workspaces reload the same on restart? I see sometimes Tab Groups don't save on Restore Pages option after restart. Looking for a way to save my organized tabs within Microsoft Edge (rather than Session Buddy, etc- as this does not save Tab groups) Thanks!

Hi,
Yes, workspaces will reload exactly where you left, if nobody else makes changes, the same applies if you create Tab Groups.

Thank you, in my experience tab groups do not save always- sometimes yes sometimes no. How do I ensure they’re saveable?

@@LauraA-qg3sp if you open pages in the tab group that are easily reachable by everyone in internet, it must work.
Differently if you open a page where only you have access or if you open a file like a PDF in the tab group of Edge this will not work.

Open the settings panel of Windows and then navigate through "System > Multitasking", in this page you can change the behavior "Show tabs from apps.........."
