- In today's project, I will be using garments that I got for FREE and attempting to UPCYCLE them into "new" clothes for summer! :) Some items will just need a color update. (Bring on the Rit dye!) Others will need a bit more sewing and refashioning love. Join me for the DIY adventure and see what you think. Do you have any clothing that could use some upcycle magic? :) Let's roll up our crafty sleeves and get started!

I find a great destainer is power dawn. It's gotten dried aged blood out of white! Rayon is one of my fav fabrics and it can be dyed, Im about to dye a piece and I think that hyacinth is a winner!
We always set colors with salt and vinegar!
Ooh great tips! :) I just added power dawn to my shopping list! Have fun with your dye project!!
Loved the purple dress and the way the white stiching showed up on the pink. But what you did with the shirt was genius. Just found your channel. Great stuff. ❤
I loved how those dyes turned out too! :) Now I want to find more embroidered items to dye... And more shirts to turn into skirts! :) Glad you enjoyed the project!
Obsessed with the pink top
Love the purple dress
Denim skirt is perfection
Aaaa, thank you!! :) So glad you like it! Those are some of my favs!
Yall are so silly but I ❤how it all came out.
:) Lol! Glad you liked it!
Have you tried dishwasher powder (Cascade, etc.,) on food stains? I learned by thrift shopping among re-sellers; they buy stained baby clothes and wash them with Cascade to get them back to sellable condition.
It totally works.
Not on mustard or rust, but any normal food stain, absolutely.
Wow, that's so cool! :) I had no idea that worked! Thanks for the tip!!

First time finding your channel. Very impressive upcycles.
Thank you very much! :) Glad you enjoyed!
Very nice
Thanks so much! :)
ENjoyed your channel. Would love to see modeling as you finished each item.
Glad you enjoyed it! :) Great tip too!!
I would love to see the before and the after modeled.
I would have washed it in a degreaser before I tried to dye it. It may also have residue from dryer sheets as well. There is also a dye fixative to keep the color.
Good luck!
Ooh thanks for the tips!! :)
I love the dress and blouse. They turned out beautifully. Good job!!!
So glad you like them! :) They are some of my favs!
I love how they turned out
Yay!!! :) Me too!
Thanks for sharing, you are so talented and fun.
You are so welcome! :)
Awesome work. The purple dress was stunning.
Thank you so much! 😊I liked how it turned out too!
Cute changes.
:) Glad you liked it!
Try c9let water on colors and old fashion lye bar soap from the Amish stores. It works well on baby formula and blood and oil based stains. Hot water cook in enameled pan for whites.
Oooh! Thank you for the tips!! I did not know about those! :)
@@PartnersinCraftRUclips yes those ideas mother taught me years ago . She was the best sewer around and only charged what you could afford. And she was self taught.
Wow! :) What a cool lady!
I am so glad to have found your channel. Girl...i LOVE what you do - I too have been upcycling clothes - and I just ordered some Rit Dye - you are truly inspiring me today...........will be back to see what else you create.....love how your mind works....also, have you ever considered that you can use part of the sleeves to create Pockets??? in your skirt?
Yay! :) Nice to meet another upcycle buddy! Hope you projects were super fun! I'm lovin' your sleeve-to-pocket idea- need to try that!!
Loved your makes just subscribed ❤
Yay! :) Welcome!!
It's almost impossible to get dye applied evenly in a sink or bucket. It needs almost constant agitation. Use a top loading washing machine if possible for consistency in color
Oooh, thank you for the tips!! I've never tried the washing machine method, but want to! I worry about staining the washing machine at my rental... Is that even an issue or is there a way to clean it?
After dyeing in the machine, run a hot soapy load with rags or with nothing in it.
Ooh, good to know!! ;)
I would have put a 2 inch elastic band on the waist easier to get on without the waist band
Ooh, good idea! :)
Love it and I'm not done yet! Do you have design training, please?
Glad you enjoyed it! :) I don't have design training, but I'm learning all the time!
How did you match the side seam, you created to the shirts flat felled seam of the shirt?
Really cute ideas.
That's a good question! I just kinda fudged it, and the resulting seam wasn't perfect. :) LOL!
I have a dark green skirt that runs when i wash it i wonder if dye fixative would fix that.
Ooh, that's a good question! I've never tried it, but could be worth a shot if the skirt's fabric is a kind that the fixative works well with!
It's cotton.@@PartnersinCraftRUclips
You share too much fittaly stuff like pinning all the way around or cutting we know that stuff
Thanks for letting me know! :)
