I think, it’s bad that the oversized people who struggle with their weight and on top of that skinny people buying xxl clothes that are meant for people who are financially struggling, just so that they can get views. What do u think?
I agree with all the positive comments. It would be helpful for you to tell us what you were doing as you go along, or before you began each cut or stitch. I think you’re extremely gifted.
What kind of beautiful sorcery is this?? It’s so pretty!! What a great design. I love the colors and the pattern. You rocked this!!! I’m super jealous. I wish I could sew.
Very nice! I’ve been trying…for YEARS….to figure out a way to re-purpose men’s shirts into sleeveless tank tops for summer. Clever to use the sleeves as a yoke! I’d have to come up with something other than the skinny straps - but your lesson here is a great starting point for my own project….thanks!💕
Thank you for sharing this creative idea. I appreciate learning that we can sew freehand without pins and have success! Also, for many years I have wanted to create an outfit without a formal pattern, but I hesitated because I wasnt sure it was okay to do so. Thanks for inspiring me!
Give it a shot! You might be surprised. And starting w/ a shirt/ blouse that the buttons & button holes are already there, even if you close them like this pattern it looked nice. And your eyes kind of travel bk to them & not so much on another part that wasn’t your best effort till you get better skills. Considering the cost of fabric & buttons you could have little or no money (if you got it from your closet) to give it a try❤
I was mesmerized by this! Kudos! I’m very creative but cannot sew 😢 I’ve always wanted to make children’s dress out of vintage cotton pillowcases. I imagine you would make child’s play out of my vision lol. I’m sure you would nail it! Thank you for sharing your skills. Bravo! 👏
This is gonna read like a novel but gotta say this. 1st of all think this little dress is very cute. As a seamstress of 50+ yrs, now mostly bridal & formal dresses, I know it can be done. I would have probably added a little fabric & lined the bodice. But there was a time when I didn’t have much. So for some sewers w/ lack of knowing or lack of supples… not terrible w/ this design to be unlined. I nearly went crazy with some of the comments. So I watched this video about 5x’s & stopped it frequently. I do believe that 2 shirts were used “but” only for the purpose of not stopping the making of the video if an error was made. When the front bodice & skirt are about to be stitched to the bk, the front bodice pc & the skirt pc are definitely to different color’s & could account for 2 different shirts being used… the pcs of one switched for the other. Dye lots do change. * This is a small size, but for a larger size dress … larger size shirt, not rocket science!! * I just measured my 12 yr old granddaughter, 31 bust & 27 waist. The “cut” skirt panel measured 17x23, true it had gathering below the bust but would be wide enough to cover the hips. * When the collar is cut away the portion that becomes the skirt has 5 buttons. So does the finished dress. * Great idea to use a printed fabric, if your a beginner, or especially if using a smaller size shirt where you need to utilize most of the shirt. It’s a little busy so over lapping or indifferences definitely not noticeable at a glance. *** The only thing that I did wondered about was why the 3-4 in wide pc was added down the R side of the skirt when the same amount was initially trimmed from ea side, hence the 17 in width?? ❤❤Well my little designer your dress is very cute & I think my granddaughter & I are shopping for some shirts in grandpa’s closet tomorrow. She loved it too!❤❤
Just use a larger shirt. Your largest measurement… bust, belly or hips to the chest measurement of the shirt. Tip: If a little fuller figure get a straight cut shirt. The tapered ones just don’t fit our curves. ❤
My mom had an old clipping from a magazine from when I was a child, that showed how to turn a man's shirt into a little girl's sleeveless sundress. Very similar to this design. I made our daughters a number of these when they were very young. Very easy, and there always seemed to be a man's old shirt around (use one from a family member who didn't need it any more, or buy one cheap from a thrift store) so it saved money on fabric yardage.
There's ways to extend this if it's too short... Adding white to the bottom would have a faux "slip" effect... Or if u found let's say two small shirts on clearance, that's just as much fabric to play with as one big one would be
Love the concept… ❤ I would love to try it. I agree that depending on the size, it appears to require more materials than just a shirt. However this could be for a very small dress; therefore, it would work very well. I think the extra buttons may have come from the sleeves. But I do love the concept of how this was pulled together. One could actually add more material to make it a bigger size. Thanks for the idea.
That is so cute and exceedingly creative! Wish I could be as talented with design as you are. Thank you so much. Watching you is inspired and relaxing at the same time.
I loved this tutorial, thanks for making it! I think I'll find a big shirt and do this too. I want to make a tank top, v neck or boat neck shirt out of a men's shirt. thank you!
You are amazing. I just picked you up while looking for courses to take online and I got a look at you changing the t-shirts into so many different fashionable ways. I'm thinking
That was impressive ! I knew I was being drawn to XXL men's button up shirts at the thrift store for a reason.
Lol… me too!!
I think, it’s bad that the oversized people who struggle with their weight and on top of that skinny people buying xxl clothes that are meant for people who are financially struggling, just so that they can get views.
What do u think?
Thanks for the tip. I can't wait to go to my favorite thrift store again.
I agree with all the positive comments. It would be helpful for you to tell us what you were doing as you go along, or before you began each cut or stitch. I think you’re extremely gifted.

As a non-seamstress, your 🧵 sewing skills are mesmerizing!
I've seen cushion covers made from old shirts too, especially dearly departed loved ones old shirts 💙
Fantastic idea. I can use my father's shirt to make a dress for his granddaughter. She's going to love it and he will too!!! RIP Dad 🙏
I love that idea
What a lovely idea! You can also make pillows from men’s shirts
That is so adorable! That would be cute for a father daughter social. Buy two shirts, and make one into a dress for her!
She’s very skilled cutting without a pattern and even measuring, also with perfectly straight machine sewing.

I actually didn't mind the music.
The end result was crazy 🤯🤩
I minded the music! It drove me crazy until I realized all I had to do was turn it on mute 😆
Those scissors are gnarly!!! I liked the way you gathered the waist by grabbing the existing threads in the woven fabric. 😊
Very nice! I’ve been trying…for YEARS….to figure out a way to re-purpose men’s shirts into sleeveless tank tops for summer. Clever to use the sleeves as a yoke! 😅
Well done, great job. Show others what they can do by stepping outside their comfort zone
Wow, that is adorable. You are a very talented young women. I love what you did. I find it hard to sew with a needle & thread, lol 👏👏👏
Thankyou for that😊, regardless of the negative comments, I agree with you. Lovely and great color❤
Thank you for sharing this creative idea. I appreciate learning that we can sew freehand without pins and have success! Also, for many years I have wanted to create an outfit without a formal pattern, but I hesitated because I wasnt sure it was okay to do so. Thanks for inspiring me!
Yeah, the amount of freehand seaming and those spaghetti straps!!! I'm blown away actually by the skill that is on display here...

Growing up my mom made patterns from brown paper sacks to make my clothes.
Your sewing skills are masterful! Inspiring!
Thank you so much!
What a gift..I wish I were so clever!
Wow, this was fun! My mom was able to sew like this but I never could get the hang of it except for sewing curtains. You rock!
Very clever use of material!! Great job!!
You have mad sewing skills
Wow 😮 I love this idea. Beautiful thankyou
I was mesmerized by this! Kudos!

Very clever ❤
Cute idea and will definitely work as a child’s dress. I’d love to see a transformation like this for women with larger bust sizes.
Just use a larger shirt. Your largest measurement… bust, belly or hips to the chest measurement of the shirt. Tip: If a little fuller figure get a straight cut shirt. The tapered ones just don’t fit our curves. ❤

I used to make pencil skirt from unwanted trousers so easy
So clever 👏👏👏
Really cute if you are tiny and short.
They have button ups for big and tall men 😊
There's ways to extend this if it's too short... Adding white to the bottom would have a faux "slip" effect... Or if u found let's say two small shirts on clearance, that's just as much fabric to play with as one big one would be
I'm a big girl too. I look for big and tall men's shirts

Amazing!
great idea! I would take it one step further; line the bodice and give it a proper hem 😍
BRILLANT!!!
Loved this idea!
Really cute and GREAT repurposing idea😊
How to ruin a perfectly good shirt. No seam finishing, no double fold hem. One wash and that thing will fall apart.
This a great idea ! It can be simple n sweet or frills n lace.
Beautiful! And sheer magic! You lost me with the first cut of the scissors, but I enjoyed watching an artist at work.
That is so cute and exceedingly creative! Wish I could be as talented with design as you are. Thank you so much. Watching you is inspired and relaxing at the same time.
Thanks so much 😊
That's perfect, I love to wear these babydoll dresses.
I could not stop watching wondering where this was going. LOL I am amazed!
So I clicked like and no numbers came up. This is genius. I'd like to try it and I have zilch sewing experience.
What a great idea!

OMG, so cute, so creative
How darling! Nice work!
Devices have Volumn Control, turn it down if you dont like the music...WOW ppl. Good job. Concept is very doable.
I loved this tutorial, thanks for making it! I think I'll find a big shirt and do this too. I want to make a tank top, v neck or boat neck shirt out of a men's shirt. thank you!
If you get a very large sized man’s shirt you could do this for a woman’s dress. Get it from a thrift shop or on clearance, etc
Beautiful skill.....I loved it ❤️
Awesome great idea thanks for sharing!!!💯👍♥️😊
Thanks for watching!
You are amazing. I just picked you up while looking for courses to take online and I got a look at you changing the t-shirts into so many different fashionable ways. I'm thinking
Thank you 😊
De todas as customização que vi a sua foi a melhor, lindo vestido!
aaaah, I see the extra fabric added to the side starting at 4:14, perfect!
Very cool but how did u get it so long???????
By adding the upper part which is made up from the sleeves and the "long" spaghetti straps, hope that makes sense

Loved that thanks.
Good idea. Thanks.
That is so cute!
Super gemacht.
Cute but it needs to be tapered in under the arms-as it is, the armhole gapes outward and looks like it needs adjusting.
Love it! And yes
QUE TRABALHO LINDO 👏👏👏
Super 👌
Gostei ! Ficou muito bonito !!
super amazing👗♥
