Tallah deserves all the fame and attention in the world. Justin has been doing this for years and he is arguably one of the most diverse and talented vocalist in the scene right now
Definitely check out Overconfidence and No One Should Read This. Honestly, just listen to the album. Too Quick to Grieve is the heaviest song on the album. Mike Portnoy's son Max is their drummer.
Don't really hear much similarity but my band opened for them at a local show and WOW their drummer is other worldly. They have an amazing stage presence.
These dudes are basically the pioneers of "Nu Metalcore". Theres been loads of bands with a lot of nu metal influence in modern years (of mice and men, i prevail, sylar, falling in reverse, even code orange tbh) but these guys coined it and where the first to admit being Nu Metal.
I think Sylar has been pretty honest in their interviews and clothing and music since around 2014 or so that they're nu metal. But Tallah is something else entirely. It's like Nu Metalcore/even borderline "nu deathcore"
And the best thing about Tallah-- They sound exactly like studio when live. You should hear their live performance of thier new album Matriphagy. It slams I get old Slipknot and general Korn vibes from them. I'm surprised Nik hadn't heard of them, Jared has mentioned thier music multiple times in his videos. Justin is a weird dude too lol

Anyway, good job mah dude, love your disgusted face every time a breakdown hits harder than the economical crisis due to covid !
Kinda depends on the song, this song was totally Jim’s Roots style, I’d say the same with songs like overconfidence and no one should read this, but then you got songs like placenta and red light that are more like korn riffs
@@blackknightstudios9958 Well, I have to admit that it's clearly Roots signature riffs, but the way it's played, it's mixed and shit, it totally made me think of Korn, like.. I don't know. The violence in the riffage is more a Korn vibe (It made me think of titles like Falling Away From Me, Right Now, Clown for exemple) but yeah, you're right, definitely Jim Roots playstyle
The guitar sounds to me like korn. The aggression on other songs is very slipknot. The drummer sounds a lot like joey jordison. Overall, I'd say its the best of both bands
These guys go deep. Saw them live last year. The singer was pulled from the stage by bouncers and police and arrested in the middle of the song. Dragged out of the building still singing. Sick. You've gotta see them live!
Bet you never thought 3 years ago reviewing Justin's band that you'd cut a track with him years later. How cool, waa that experience. Insane vocals love his energy & equally shine on stage when he delivers those monster vocals.
I feel like this song doesn't even scratch the surface of what Justin is capable of vocally. He is, in my opinion, THE top vocalist out there right now
I started listening to these guys a couple months ago and every song is just completely insane. It’s almost like it doesn’t make sense at first and then you pick up the melody throughout all the chaos
Do a full album reaction for this. Every song is an absolute banger and Tallah deserve all the love they can get. I'd also settle for a one-off reaction to Overconfidence.
I know it's been a couple weeks, but you almost have to introduce this band to Alex Hefner if he hasn't heard them yet. Overconfidence would be the perfect song for you and him to react to. These guys are right there with Jinjer and slaughter to prevail in my book.
I'm really hoping he checks out their song overconfidence, that song slaps harder than the big show does with his chest slaps, please Nik if you can see this check out confidence 🙏🙏🙏
i watched this when it came out and i just watched it again. but im here to let you know they released another video the other day. time to check out "telescope".
Justin is one of the most talented vocalists I have ever seen. Definitely check out more Tallah, and you should definitely check out some of his vocal covers, specifically Given Up by LP
Tallah seriously gives me that old school Slipknot vibe, just modernized and in an original way. Insane vocals, love the guitars, the drums are porn, mix is spot on, what a band man.
They're album is honestly there in my favorites for this year. Every song flows so well and there is just zero misses. They are gonna blow up big time. Glad you enjoyed it. 🤘
I remember seeing the vocalist do a sick Slipknot Eyeless vocal cover (Hungry Covers) where he plugged Tallah at the end. Didn't think anything of it but now I keep seeing reactions to them and they're growing on me fast. The dudes are making it.

I'm so fucking happy that I found your band today, this shite(and I mean shite in the best possible way) rocks my boat so much and I love it
drums is Max Portnoy, Mike Portnoy's son. This band is pretty insane
Also this song gave me Korn vibes
I had read that he was their drummer and that was all I needed to hear.
Well I can recognize him by listening the snare...
Gotta say he learned a lot from his dad, his playing is amazing
I could swear he'll love to hear that all the time.
This whole album is SO good, definitely one of my top 10 for 2020
