    I just want to say, I would totally buy a flasher tool with brocks tunes for all the bikes you're famous for tuning. Can even be a package with your exhaust + air filter. It can be a flasher tool, loaded with tunes for different fuel types from shitty to race fuel so it'll address different markets with different markets. It's the future.

      @Anupam Roy - we offer the best we can. Unfortunately, the 3rd party tuning solutions not only do not talk to each other - they are mortal enemies, will not allow file sharing and lock their work to protect it from other hackers. Add to this that the "old standards" have been almost completely shut down by Euro 5 obstacles. Our current partnership with @BT-Moto is the closest to what you are requesting. We worked with them to remove the appropriate restrictions, we created the fuel mapping and their handheld allows you to select what you need...with or without the use of a PCV. We do offer turn-key packages: brocksperformance.com/exhausts/stock-2-brock-packages/ although many are not listed due to the creation of our new website. Please use the blue support button on our site and our customer service team will let you know what we offer for your bike.

      @@BrockDavidson thanks so much for the detailed reply, Brock. Appreciate it. I meant something like the bt Moto flasher tool, but with brocks tunes, and across many bikes, with options like safe/poor fuel, sport/decent fuel and race fuel
      Edit: I see you're already doing something similar. I was speaking from the perspective of an overseas customer. The ecu flash, which is critical, for older bikes (like say 19-20 zx10r) seems to be a problem that would be easily solved by a universal handheld flasher like what bt Moto has.

    • @BrockDavidson
      @BrockDavidson  3 года назад

      Clutch life revolves around the user---could last forever...could last 1/2 a dragstrip run. As far as engine life...all we did is remove restrictions forced upon the OEM. This engine is designed for this power level, so there is no reason to expect less reliability. That said - same deal...if the user decides that it's fun to do rolling burnouts bouncing off of the rev limiter...engine life will suffer ;)

    I see even on the ZH2 the Bren flash still has that dip up top. On this bike its from what looks like 11-12k its basically just flat and then picks up after 12k. Just another reason I'll wait for someone like Woolich before flashing mine because I would be pissed to pay that type of money and have that flat spot up top like that. This is the same issue with the Bren R1 flash so it has to be something with the way they are flashing these bikes.

    • @BrockDavidson
      @BrockDavidson  3 года назад

      @Boosted , it will probably be a while before anyone else steals the ability to flash the Z H2. I can assure you, there is no 'flat spot' when riding this bike, lol.

    • @HKvsGlock

    • @camblueblack7763
      @camblueblack7763 2 года назад +1

      @@BrockDavidson Im not pointing out an issue when riding. I'm pointing out that this flash has a flat spot up top just like the R1 flash from this same company. There has been no other flash on any bike that has had a flat spot like that up top. As far as stealing the ability I dont know anything about that but I know Bren had to copy what was in the KRT ecu to improve on his flash for the ZX10 and all the original Honda RRR flash stuff he copied or stole from the guys overseas. So if you want to point the finger at people "Stealing" then point it at the person your promoting first.

    • @BrockDavidson
      @BrockDavidson  2 года назад +1

      Most tuners have developed their own target AFR's for cruising vs. WOT. In the cruising range 13.2-1 would be considered on the safe side. Some will go to extremes to try to cut down on soot in the exhaust pipe/reduce fumes for fellow riders behind them etc... and increase fuel mileage. The problem is - None of these numbers are set in stone as a one bike that might run just fine with 13.X to 15? - 1 where another might be terrible to cruise at these numbers. Your 3rd party tuning software should be able to help you.

      This bike has 4180 miles total. The last 1K or so have been with the the 227 hp set-up in this vid. Two things kill engines (especially boosted ones) quickly...excessive RPM's and detonation. Both can cause excessive blow-by where oil gets blown into the air box, which quickly burns off the spark plug ground straps, taking the pistons/valves/seats etc,,, with them. Here is the little bity oil catch can on this bike: bit.ly/3EMHrYP it has never been emptied. This combination is VERY safe and makes more power than the bike/rider can use. :)

    I like your words of caution... We are talking about damned near MotoGP levels of power here... or at least, where MotoGP was only a few years ago. That's an insane amount of power for a street bike, especially a naked bike that has no wind protection and not as much weight on the front end.
    It's great for bragging rights, and for the "Straight line Interestate Rossi's" to strut around and pose with... But for a bike to actually ride every day, and ride hard... This isn't a toy. That kind of power will put you on, and IN the ground, in a heartbeat...
    There is only so much power you can use, and you are right, keep the electronics on. That's the only thing that makes these kind of bikes rideable. Riders that aren't actually good riders, think that electronics make you a pussy... They simply don't know... Doing roll ons and crap on the highway in tennis shoes and a tshirt, does not a good rider, make... Show most of those guys a real turn, and they soil themselves, or slow down to where they are holding up an old lady in her Prius...

      We use old VP cans to store pump gas as metal cans preserve the fuel far better than plastic cans - and racers have spent VP cans cluttering all corners of the shop. You will notice the blue painters tape on the top of the can, it indicates brand, octane and purchase date of the pump gas in an attempt to provide the most consistent test results possible.

    Hey Brock. Have loved following your journey with the zh2, and you must be relieved to be getting somewhere now. In this episode you concentrated on corrected af ratio but no talk of ignition timing optimising. Maybe not necessary on this engine or will cover this in another video.
    I acknowledge that you did touch on this topic in gixilla series.
    Keep em coming.
    Love your stuff!

    • @BrockDavidson
      @BrockDavidson  3 года назад

      Ignition timing on a supercharged engine is a slippery slope...ill see if I can think of a way to handle without causing confusion or giving away tuning secrets that are very valuable to the company supplying the flash.
