- A chance encounter with a former Marine obsessed with delusions of child sex trafficking ultimately led to the massacre of four members of a Lakeland family, including a mother holding her baby boy, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.
Sheriff Judd said Bryan Riley confessed to murdering the family and told detectives he tortured the 11-year-old girl before counting down from three and shooting her multiple times, believing he had killed her as well.

Calculate how much to feed him in prison and instead use that money to pay the hospital and funeral bills. If he asks for food, remind him where the money is appropriately being spent.

@@harryodum5598 I'm sorry sir for your PTSD, my own firstborn son is in the army. I believe you're absolutely right. The pain of loss, the trauma of losing loved ones abruptly never leaves, or being in combat, which I can't speak to, but you learn to live in spite of it.
As awful and gut wrenching as what she went through is, she sounds tough. Like she has what it takes to get through it and come out on the other side, plus find a way to live with it. I think she will go on and maybe help others who go through similar things. I think she will find a way to do something meaningful as a result of what happened.
I wish her all the best for her future and I hope she has an uneventful and quick recovery.
I think some people are just born with innate strength of character, that leads them to fight like hell for their lives and their futures.

If you do not live in or near Polk County you may not be aware that a couple of years ago Seriff Judd invited all Polk County residents to use and be trained at all the gun ranges that the Sheriff's officers use. He is a firm believer of our 2nd Amendment. I live in the County next to Polk and the Sheriff's Department is as corrupted as a lot of the politically controlled police forces are. I don't like pointing fingers but it is not difficult to figure out that it is the corrupt Demoncrats. I have been considering selling my home and moving to Polk County.

This sheriff was partially responsible for the death of Kevin dock. There's a lot to that story and this sheriff is not a good guy. He just gets to sit on TV and get the credit for the officers that do the work. In Kevin's case it was a trumped up charge and lies. For Kevin's case there was a TV briefing just like this where this sheriff lied, threw him in a cell, and refused his medical treatment which caused his death. They spent too much time and money on the case to let it go and needed to have a bad guy. Kevin was wheelchair bound and incapable of committing the crimes they said he did.
No one is a great human being, there is not even 1.

Sheriff Judd is a wonderful story teller! He makes you feel like you were there. That's what makes these briefings so addictive to watch. He makes me really care about these people, rather than the usual "statistics and evidence" that you get from other police agencies.

I was 11 years old when I lost my Dad. Cannot even begin to imagine the depth of pain this poor child is and will suffer through, now and throughout her entire life. Horrible!

I have never seen a press conference where law enforcement gave this kind of detail. The fact that it was still under investigation makes it even more unusual. I think other cities should take a lesson from this incredible Sheriff. He sounds like a loving, fair, dedicated man. My thoughts go out to him as I know this must be a difficult time for him and his Deputies. And I hope the best in life comes to that little girl for all she has endured. 💝💝

The reason that law enforcement doesn’t do this is because people are considered innocent until proven guilty. This cop seems like he’s doing a good thing, but he’s making the prosecutor’s life hell. Now a guilty man can argue bias and argue for a change of venue. This cop is speaking these things like truth. Only a court can determine guilt.
