My very best friend just died from this drug. I’m in TN, but I don’t doubt for a second that the drugs you confiscated in FL would’ve reached here very quickly. Thank you to ALL involved knocking drugs down. I have lost my dear sister to this drug, Her absence has left a hole that will never be filled in my heart. I lived in Florida for 30 years I left I won't say what state I live in now. But I still have another daughter and my there. And it terrifies me. My oldest grandson will be coming up on 12 years old. Even though he's a smart kid. Fentanyl is smarter. I don't think I could go through this again with another loss. So thank you my hat's off to all you ladies and gentlemen that are involved in ending this crisis

As a retired LE person with 58 years in the profession, I applaud Sheriff Judd for what he does and how he handles things in Polk County. There are many good sheriffs in this country but also some who could learn some things from Sheriff Judd. Polk County, Florida is so fortunate to have him. He is certainly an asset to the law enforcement community in the United States.
I wish I lived in a safer state. You're doing a really great job Florida. Stay strong.
I am not an American and live over the pond but Sheriff Judd is one cool person because he does not worry about stepping on toes and if you break the law irrespective of age he will out you and let law abiding people know what is going on in the community.

My brother in law died from an overdose of fentanyl laced drugs..
He was making $240,000 per year and one of his co-workers introduced the drug to him and he used it..Just saying that to show its not low life junkies who pass,albeit he turned into a low life junkie! He was blowing through their savings and was going to take a mortgage out on their paid for home! He never was able to do this!
He always did smoke marijuana since he was a teen,they say marijuana is safe and NOT a gateway drug,not true at all...Sadly he never made it to 50 years old,he left a family of 6 behind!!
This drug not only gets kids but normal adults,he was a good guy besides starting this stupid drug for 3 years it was hell form my sister and my nephews and nieces...He died in front of them ALL...4 year old kids to teens!! Messed their lives up tenfold!

This man is a stellar super-hero in law enforcement. Although I don't live in Polk county, I am a born and raised, lifelong resident of Columbia county, which is one of the northern-most counties in FL. My greatest respect and gratitude to Sheriff Grady Judd, and all FL Sheriffs, police chiefs, FHP, FWC, Coast Guard, etc., who work tirelessly to keep this drug, and all other illicit and illegal drugs out of our neighborhoods and away from our children.
I love him. But his approach with drugs is only a bandage. Until the DEMAND stops it will continue.

And within their official capacity, offering what? Sitting in the offices of the sheriff's dept. for a counseling session? Its not in their field of training nor job description. You can't imagine, obviously, the number of drug addict arrests that are made resulting in requests for psychiatric and addiction consults/observations referrals to hospitals and clinics. All, of course, at ours as taxpayers' expense. Polk county (FL) Sheriff Grady Judd has proven himself time and time again fulfilling his
duty, over and above honorable expectation. Otherwise, how else do you think he's held his position, and the voting public's trust all
these years? The Sheriff's office is the but the #2 branch of the law, the executive. Which means all they can do is enforce the law. Nothing further.

I went to San Diego and how the police force and the Governor and Senators representing California is not being held accountable for the mess going on there is disgusting. There are children having to live in with the addicts in horrible conditions. I pray that all of your officers are doing okay after this raid. What's sad is they can arrest 1000 Juan jrs and there will still be 10000 to replace them so it really makes ZERO difference in the grand scheme of things. The war on drugs is and always will be a failure because as long as they're is a demand there will be a supply. You fix the problem by fixing/helping the addicts by increasing in more free rehabs and mental health clinics not by building more fails and hiring more cops. THAT is the root of the problem, that is how you help the people stop killing themselves.
