@KatieAGriffin Tender is about her. It's about her being hooked on Heroin and Damon trying to encourage her to "get through it". They had both dabbled with Heroin, he quit, she got addicted, locked herself in their house, hence "Beetlebum" which is about her and Heroin, when he couldn't stand her addiction he left. That's the story. Straight from Damon's words.
@@volcanofungu1185 Right, apparently the biggest reason was him wanting kids and her not wanting any. Pretty solid reason for a couple to break up if you ask me.
Damon was very in love with her, and it was sad they broke up, but it's also good in a way because she was the one who got him into heroin. Elastica was also very much criticized and brought into court for plagiarizing songs from their favorite bands. As Graham says, he thinks she tries to influence Damon too much, but thank God Blur were smart enough not to rip off songs from other artists.

People be bashing Damon on how he didn't marry her, its because she chose Heroin over him. I feel for Damon. When you love someone so much and they say they love you back but in the end their words seem like lies for they take for granted and choose something inconvenient over you. He tried for her. and if the Heroin wasn't there I'm sure even then it wouldn't work out. that's how life is. they weren't meant to be, if you choose something else over the one you love most then it isn't meant to be. and fate rewrites itself but the outcome never changes.
@cactaceous Tender isn't about heroin. Damon never said that, it's clearly about the breakup. Although they did break up because of her heroin addiction. Beetlebum on the other hand is, an there are references to that.
Are you talking about how Kurt was obsessed with "There's No Other Way" by Blur and a journalist later played a tape of an interview with Kurt in which he actually sang bits of the song on tape? I never heard about him mentioning an Elastica single. I'd like to see some evidence if you've got any. Is it possible you got the Blur/Elastica stories confused?
Don't think Damon was wholly led and said by her on the drugs front. They're both happy now in new relationships, that involve them NEVER socialising or keeping in contact with each other.
@@alessa. it's not just her fault fam, both justine and damon were on the wrong at that point in time. Justine introduced him to drugs(that being her fault) and damon took it(he could've said no to drugs). At least they're living a happy life now.

Is she what considered beautiful in western people's eyes? Cos as an Asian I don't find her that attractive just quite normal looking (I know she looks really hot when she's singing on the stage but apart from that?
@timetowaste Eh to be honest, I tend to disagree. She doesn't look boring at all. In fact, she has a "tomboish" look which seems interesting and perfect on her(in my opinion). Yes she's average looking but her fashion sense, her accent, her body language(which has a strange feminine touch) along with the fact that she looks pretty without makeup too, brings out the fact that she is indeed really attractive.
I wouldn't say she's beautiful, but she's not unattractive. To quote Liam Gallagher: "I wouldn't kick that Justine out of bed." Beauty can be subjective though; and in many cases there are very different cultural norms for beauty standards depending on where you're from.
She's adorable! A great musician and singer, I miss her.
