I said no, & he moved out. They ended up being homeless for the next 6 years and at one point during that time, he asked if they could pitch a tent in my back yard & live there. I once had a boyfriend who cheated on me the entire time we were together with one of his exs. So we broke up. My feelings were hurt but I got over it pretty quickly. Which I guess made him mad because one night after I came home from a date he was just hanging out outside of my place. He was screaming that I went out with another guy to soon after breaking up with him (he moved in with his ex the day we broke up) and that he wasn’t ready for me to move on. He didn’t want me back he just didn’t want me to find someone new. After that I had to block him and his new/old gf on everything because she kept sending me rude messages because she was mad that he wouldn’t stop talking about how amazing I was and how she was nothing like me. I just decided that I didn’t want or need any of their drama. I even moved to another state so I wouldn’t have them showing up at my house at 2 am to scream at each other on my lawn anymore. I seriously hope they both got the therapy they desperately needed.

Stopped being a crazy ex when I stopped wasting the energy on him. It never bothered me though, I’ve met some of them and they’re cool women. In the lead up to the final months to me finally breaking up with my ex-fiance, I finally admitted to him that I didn't want to marry him until he treated me better and we started couples counseling. We hadn't made any wedding plans up until that moment, but after I told him that he wanted to start wedding planning. After a disastrous weekend of having all my needs and concerns dismissed I told him I didn't want to do wedding planning until we finished counseling. Fast forward to a few months later when I learned from one of my students that he had been planning our wedding for later on in the year. Yes, that's right, he was planning our wedding in secret but also telling everyone. He made excuses, saying he was trying to reduce my stress, etc. I continued trying to work through counseling with him and the counselor finally got him to agree to postpone the wedding when he admitted the only reason he wanted to marry me was because he wanted to get married before he turned 30. Later on we got into a huge fight while trying to call his mom to tell her and I left. I realized he had access to all my social media accounts when I had read messages from my friends that I never received that night. I caught him logging onto my Facebook and ended it. His big thing was that I didn't trust him enough but he was a hypocrite.
I found out my parents had put down a $2000 deposit for a wedding venue that I never saw and never agreed to. A few months after the break-up I received an email from a wedding planner to discuss our wedding date at the venue being moved TO THE NEXT YEAR. I politely informed her there would be no wedding and she apologized. He never said anything to me about it. Less than a year later he married someone else, so he got his wish to be married before 30. I hope he learned a lot of lessons about compromising and treating his partner better before he married that poor girl. There was a lot of behavior following that though that makes me believe otherwise.
Fortunately for me, patience has paid off and I am dating a very wonderful, caring man who asks about my needs and is willing to compromise!

The even more hilarious part was she was terrified of me and eventually convinced her best friend to take over the random appearances with similar results. Ah high school, good times!!!

That entire relationship was next level drama, the first time we broke up (also because he cheated) the girl he started seeing was a serious "single white female" she told everyone that my best friend was her best friend, even bought a matching friendship ring to ours, first she dated the boyfriend I had before this one, then him, they showed up at my work, tried to start a fight. He even showed up at my new boyfriend's house and tried to start a fight with him. Small towns are insane!!!! I also have no idea where I got the reputation for being a fighter, I'd never been in a single fight. I've had one physical altercation in the entirety of my life and that was a crazy (I don't say this in jest, she was later locked up in an institution) roommate that tried to punch my stomach when I was 5 months pregnant and all I did was pin her to the floor until she calmed down. She then pulled money out from his air force retirement fund (all legally btw). I can't remember if he had just retired or if they have been retired for a little while at that point? Unfortunately, I don't know all the legal mumbo jumbo because I'm not part of the military, but since they're still legally married, she gets a good chunk of money every month from his retirement. I had low self-esteem when I was in my early twenties, so I put up with a lot of behaviors that I shouldn't have from women. One of the more memorable ones was this girl I met on campus through just running into her in the hall. We found that we had a bit in common, and I was completely flattered that another woman found me attractive. We had only started exclusively dating for like a week or two, and I had just met one of her male friends. Well, I get a message from her saying that she wanted to date this guy friend I had just met AS WELL as me. I immediately said, 'No. That's not what I entered into this relationship for. If you want to date him, go ahead. But I'm not going to be a part of it.'. She had the audacity to get mad at me. 'You knew I was bisexual,' she said, 'so that means that I need to date both a guy and a girl'. No, no, that's not how that works. I ended things there.
The next semester rolls around, and I started dating another girl. We hadn't been together long, so there was some friction that we needed to work out. My then-girl friend was a tutor for the school, and what do you know. One of the people she was helping was my ex. My ex proceeded to tell me how she was now 'the jealous ex-girlfriend' and started whispering in both of our ears in an effort to break us up.
We both ended up stopping communication with her eventually. While I understand that I learned some valuable lessons from the relationships I was in, I really wish that I had not tried to fill the void inside of myself by pursuing romantic interests.

Dear reader, I was not. It was in fact because he told her we had broken up much earlier than we had and was effectively cheating on both of us and he didn't want her to find out. How did I find this out? Well a mutual friend went to their wedding and night before groom had gotten very drunk and confessed to his best man (and husband of the mutual friend) who then told me. So um.....good luck to them, I guess?

My friend got married and ended up separating from her husband 6 months later , he told her he wanted kids so she would marry him then went back on it just months after the wedding, he accused her of having 7 affairs at once. Turns out he was cheating on her, she kicked him out of her house and the day before she changed the locks he went in and stole her engagement and wedding rings to pawn.

Gaslit me and blamed me for all if it in the meantime. Bye bye asshole LOL. Now I'm with a loyal man who takes care of me. 🥰

I’ve noticed a trend of people lying that they’re doctors because they think that’ll make people believe whatever they say. The quit your bs subreddit has a number of stories like the following.
Liar: As someone who has been a practicing doctor for fifteen years, I can’t be silent anymore! (Insert debunked conspiracy theory here)
Person who actually investigates things instead of believing everything they hear: Your profile says you’re twenty-six, so are you lying about your age or are we supposed to believe you became a practicing doctor at eleven years old? What, are you Doogie Howser?
Second person who actually investigates: Also, you claimed in a previous post that you dropped out of high school at age 17, became some super elite Army Ranger, and now work as a bounty hunter. You’re saying you became a doctor at age eleven, and then you continued regular school until age 17, went on top secret international missions, and decided to work as a bounty hunter all while still practicing medicine?
The post will often have a note in the comments section about the faker dirty deleting their post instead of providing any evidence for their claims.

The worst thing you could do is "win" those people back, but yet, they have such a grip on you..I let a guy drive me to almost committing a crime because his "crazy ez" just wouldn't leave us alone for the first six months of our relationship. Turns out, the reason she wouldn't go away is because he was still messing with her that whole time. So guess what- if your partner has a "crazy ex" that will NOT go away .. I'd put money on it that the reason they won't go away is because the person is STILL messing with thier ex, still leading THEM on behind your back. So if you've got a messy ex situation- WALK AWAY. People surrounded by "crazy people" are NOT WORTH IT. Anyone who's got that drama going on is NOT WORTH IT!!

My most recent one was insanely mentally abusive, financially exploited me, posted pics of me in various states of undress (she owes some poor souls some therapy after having to see that), shared every intimate detail about my personal life/convos to all her friends, and tried to guilt me into helping support her and her children (she was making a lot of money from her baby daddies cus they were financially well off). The deal breaker was I figured out she quit taking her birth control (cus I found a few and when I asked her about it she said it was none of my business)
After I got out of that relationship, moved, and changed jobs. She sent me over 50 texts a day, sent me my address, got to know some of my coworkers, slashed my tires, tried to have me beat up,and followed me.
Took many many police reports, snitching on her to the text now app (if anyone you know is abusing you using that contact the text now app and give them the person's name and email), and eventually sending all this proof to her mother and best friend to which it finally stopped after 6 months of that lol.
Being alone is safer than being in a toxic/abusive relationship. Not all abuse is physical. Take time to get to know your partner crazy is easy to hide but it can't stay hidden forever.
(Steps off of soap box) have a blessed day folks.

I’m a total weirdo, I’m actually friends with 3 exes, one came to my wedding and I did the catering for two of their weddings. When it’s over, it’s over, walk away with respect and dignity and as time goes on you can see the good but calmly realise you’re not right for each other in a relationship. I’ve never cheated on anyone though. If you pressure someone to be in a relationship neither of you will ever be happy.

@@angr3819 Totally agree, as I said I’ve never been cheated on and sometimes you realise things aren’t right for you. It took a few years of me being sober before my first wife and I became true friends, she was totally right to divorce a drunk. Even then it was because we share two daughters and we both took coparenting seriously. Luckily I've been in a position to help her and her husband (that was one of the weddings I did the catering for).

If he was cheating on me that's his business.
I'm still sad about the breakup but I've never understood the petty things some people do to their partners/ex's. Once it's done it's done. Best thing to do is move on, nothing good will ever come from revenge or begging.

I can say that having a crazy ex is no fun. When I left mine back in 2011, she harassed me after I had returned her stuff that I accidentally took and turned off the electricity that was in my name. It got so bad I had to change my phone number and block her and her family on all my socials. Her sister was the worst because she got verbally abusive towards me in her calls, even after I was done. Didn’t help that the sister was a thief that stole from a friend of mine and lied about it.
