- In today's video, 2 fashion RUclipsrs rank some of the hottest, most popular, and most talked about fashion brands into a tier list! On this list, we have the likes of Abercrombie, Zara, Uniqlo, COS, Acne Studios & a lot more and things get juicy!
Thanks so much to James for helping me with this one! I had such a good time filming it and it was really fun to edit too! This video was over an hour long, so I had to cut it right down, but I hope you enjoy the longer video!

My favorite fashion bromance. I’d give COS a B - they have a polish I like. H&M definitely D - they sorta bore me and quality eh. Uniqlo an A partly due to their re:-enhanced quality and U always know what U gonna get - bought them all over the US in their big stores. (Ever seen Gu by the way?)

To be fair both Harry & James have fairly minimalist leaning style which Scandinavian style also is
Zara is that brand where majority of items are D, BUT you can find there some really amazing pieces which are S-tier (both looks and quality). Some of the jackets are banger, some hoodies are banger. Jeans are decent quality as well. And pricing is reasonable for me.
You just have to search there a lot to find THAT ONE.
I know what you mean. I like to have consistent quality with brands because I find it hard enough finding styles I like
ZARAshould be Z tier only i.e. BOTTOM for copying literally everything off of the designer runaways 😅

@@_Stav_ Some use the same suppliers, and if not, they choose various suppliers that produce decent quality stuff.

I used to see M&S as a brand aimed squarely at men aged 45 and over. But, in the past year or two they've introduced a lot of great pieces aimed at the 25-40 age range.
The quality of the materials used (pure merino wool, pure lambswool, modal blend, pure supima cotton etc) and the construction are on point, in my opinion. And when you factor in the price of their offerings they're definitely a brand worth considering for any gent who prefers a more refined and timeless aesthetic.

Ok, so how about a monthly podcast-ish kinda of content with you and James where the two of you talk fashion? I loved having you in the background talking about the different brands and I think it could be nice on a monthly basis, each time on a different topic, going through some news, trends, the latest releases from the collections etc.
I would love to do a podcast or some more vids like these but they are difficult as we live quite far from one another

Random technical question Harry, but how are you hooking up both SM7B's? I assume they're going into an interface, but which one do you use? I find it needs to have enough power to feed both mics properly off phantom power (with a Cloudlifter in the chain as well), but I haven't found a good one yet.

Hi mate. I use a focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and had a cloudlifter for each mic. There was some noise at times so probably not the best way to do things but it was all I had

BTW I am from Asia and I always watch your advises regarding Fashion and for me the Budget brand that you always include is Uniqlo, I don't want H&M tho and I pick some and drop some, because we are in a Tropical Country.

My go to "Fast Fasion" brands are Uniqlo and Mango Man. I really like that they keep their designs classic and minimalistic and you are getting decent quality for the price. Also, I really like the higher end Skandinavian brands like Filippa K, NN07, Arket, Tiger of Sweden...
I was doing the same in my mind for the Japanese heritage brands, such as iron heart, real McCoy’s, studio d’artisan, UES, Oni. Oh the joy, the fun…
yeah, really fair to put brands like Acne Studios or Aimé in the same list as Zara or H&M. it really makes sense!

I love Arket, in January they had some crazy sales in store. It was 40% off and then buy one get one free on the sale items. I got a ridiculous amount of high-quality clothing for super cheap and I'm so happy with how the clothes look on me.

It would be interesting to also have Massimo Dutti in this list. As it's another mass market brand that is part of Inditex group, offers a lot of basics with with very good quality fabrics (many products made in Portugal, Spain, Italy) at reasonable prices (slighlty cheaper than COS).
I’m curious your thoughts on J Crew - haven’t seen a video of yours that looks at them. Their classic chino pant is my perfect pair after looking for a long time…cheers from the US 👋🏻
Agree with most of these rankings! Would say though I appreciate Arket and HM for their sport collections if thats your thing. Would like to see what you think of other brands, like John Elliott and Cole Buxton

I’ve never bought anything from any of these brands but I would put ALD higher. I think I’m going through an ALD phase but looking for cheaper alternatives. Great stuff you two.

Zara is definitely slept on, never had issues with their quality, especially their Origin line, also their fragrances, they do collabs with actual perfumers and push out great ones

H&M used to be my favorite brand for basics, but in recent years the quality of their pieces has dropped and now I'm leaning towards Uniqlo.

Zara can be a gamble that turns around amazingly. For example the wool trousers that Tim Dessaint wears often are amazing and I’m happy I was able to pick them up. Or the cream wide fit trousers that Daniel wears in his shorts are also very nice. So maybe it’s just trousers that can be amazing haha

Most of the brands I wear are not really "fashion" brands but Kith NY is the one brand that I have been interested in throughout all my style phases. They are always doing something cool, the one thing is the pricing is a bit steep. Great quality though
Been really trying to reset my closet and a lot of my new clothing has been Uniqlo. I agree with them turning things around. Quality has reverted to what we know of them, and for the price, I think it's pretty good. I also have to agree with Zara. The zippers in a Uniqlo outfit is soo much better than Zara.

I agree with the list. Apart from Arket. I love their basics (especially their heavy weight tshirts). I’d actually rank them A as a better quality alternative to Uniqlo (but also more expensive). Cos is actually sick if you shop in the women’s section (much better pieces, sometimes even better quality and more on trend with male trends) OL could actually be S tier too. 🤔

Which well known brand is uniqlo like in terms of how long the products last? Is it like adidas or Hugo boss? I’m new to this and want to buy the best clothes possible for my money
Regarding Zara, I kind of agree, but Zara Origins has gone way up on the list since the daughter of the owner got the lead on the company (in my opinion). The quality is much better, and the price is still pretty decent for what you’re getting.

I dont know which branches of these brands you guys shop but as a cheap customer buying only more affordable stuff, I find zara's stuff to be more consistent than h&m's. Several times I had issues with h&m's quality that I completely stopped buying from them. It's now either uniqlo or zara...or pull & bear...and speaking of, I would be so thrilled if you had a review of pull & bear products or other common high street brands in mid tier mass produced like fred perry, lacoste, calvin klein, tommy hilfiger.

I'm a die hard UNIQLO fan. All my basics are from them and I love how everything fits. I would put them in A tier as well because I wish they would experiment more and have more statement pieces.
honestly you guys killed it. Zara's quality has dipped so much so I prefer Abercrombie for their designs/quality. Aime Leon Dore is overpriced but from a fashion POV some of their stuff looks great. Acne/Uniqlo are a bit more basic but if you want a quiet luxury outfit, you can't go wrong.
Uniclo quality went 💩 in this last 3 years and the their price goes too high
