- Like most car enthusiasts, Rex had a vision of what he wanted but wasn't sure how to execute it. He wanted to have a reliable 300 wheel horsepower supercharged BRZ that he could daily drive. We were lucky enough that he chose us to help take his 2013 Subaru BRZ to the next level. We laid out a package of parts that would allow him to double the power level of his car safely, as well improve the braking, handling and grip levels. We're not done yet but we hope you enjoy the feature of his pride and joy!

It doesnt need more power it just needs the torque dip removed. Header and tune and its done. Yes if you have the budget for a supercharger get it you will love it

These cars are slow asf 200hp stock 180 to the wheels lmao. U gotta put at least 8k into it to get it up to just over 300hp. It’s not a smart investment. Plus at the end of the day if you actually race u won’t want this knowing that a civic with a Small turbo will easily take u

Mowflex The SubNegro wrong plus 300hp isn’t shit lol my m3 had more than that when it was stock. Now I’m just over 500. The brz frs 86 are slow cars they aren’t fun or good cars by any means. More for high school kids who want to look cool but won’t kill themselves lol
More shops needs the customer service like Touge. Stop chasing just the money, chase the customer service and loyalty & money comes with it.

That is the voice of a man who talks how he thinks he should, rather than letting the words some out as they naturally would. I used to do it - a subconscious decision that became conscious when a mate pointed it out to me. It turns out that despite being 30, I talk like a 65 year old does. So be it!
It's quite a great video, I luv it and my brz also has supercharger it gives me what I want in it. On the Wheels I got 255/35/18 rear and 235/40/18 front. It's marvel
That looks amazing and the setup is really mature and conservative while still having a good flavor of personality. Only thing I would change is exhaust and header. I know he daily drives this and has a wife and kids, but a UEL with Invidia R400 will have so much more character, while still being pretty muted sound wise.

The new 2018 Toyota Camry V6 is pulling 300 stock.
Tritan 300 Wheel Horsepower is not the same as 300 Crank horsepower. All manufacturers quote power figures at the crank.

What is the cost of supercharger kit ? And how much to install ???? I have a stock frs I’ve owned for 7 years, it’s just been sitting in my garage on the other side of Canada not being used, I don’t drive it because of how slow it is lol
The kits start around $6000 and go up from there, installation varies by kit and supporting modifications. If you want to do a build similar to this we can definitely help you out and put together a plan.

Question, is this the easiest supercharger kit to install, I dont want to be pulling too much of the engine apart to upgrade....quick fit n play. (maybe 280hp for reliability)
In our experience the easiest to fit would be the Sprintex system. The Kraftwerks is a bit more involved but it also makes more power as well.

255/35/R18 all around looks great. Do you rub anywhere or at full lock, and did you have to roll the quarter panels.
No rolling, we just had the get the front ride height adjusted a few times to be perfect.

Little late but, it's not going so well. I'm pretty sure he took the kit off. The blower failed on him twice and he recommended to stay away from this kit. Not touge's fault, he was saying it was the parts that had issues.(know this cause he's in a local FB group)

Was there anything else done to the car to get it reliable enough to handle the 300hp? Axels? Driveshaft? Clutch? Engine internals? Or were the only things done to it the supercharger kit install with tune and the fuel/water pump swap?

300hp is not really that much, especially with my weak torque numbers

Love the car and not trying to be a jerk but that harness setup is incredibly dangerous and should not be used in that fashion. A harness bar is necessary and even then using a harness on the street can be incredibly dangerous in regards to neck and spine injuries.
its the Takada AntiSub street legal harness. however I use the factory belt on the road.

Fr been saying this for years. I laugh at people who have street cars with harnesses and no air bag steering wheel. Youd have to drive around with a helmet with a hans device for it to be any safer
Actually, the installation of the 4-point harness is correct. These are the Takata Drift harnesses with the ASM built-in. Also the angle of of the harness is not greater than 45 degrees which meets the guidelines for installation. We kept it relatively conservative with the coilover drop, the wheel fitment makes a huge difference.

@@Monkeybearr we do love our supercharged BRZ's so we'd suggest that. We do also offer some nice turbo kit options though as well.
