The paper instructions on this collar are impossible. The "average" person would say "screw it, I don't think I get it, but I'm using it anyway". I asked the company to do a better job on the manual. This video makes it SO clear, thank you! Now I'm ready to get working on it with my dog.

We’ve had this for a little over 2.5 years with our 3 y.o. female German shepherd and we get so many compliments on how well she is trained. We always recommend this e-collar! Not sure why people are still so afraid of these. Only explanation could be is they are misinformed and/or have irrational fears of this tool. Works well at the beach and typically in any setting. We use the vibrate and stimulant. The noise doesn’t work on her well enough to use that yet so we refrained from continuing to train with the beep.
Try it on yourself before using it on your dog but use at your own risk! 😌

Just recently started training my dog in a legit way- being consistent with him and over the last couple months he definetally has adapted- today i took him off leash completely for the first time- and he passed- for the first month or so i trained him off basic corrections- prong colar after he started to get the concept of not pulling- the e collar is just a extension of your commands- the first day i got my e colar i let him go and sure enough he ran on me- i put it on a boost of 20 and i stimulated him hahah he def learned after that not to run away- the main focus i would say is consistency

Loved it. Your succinct explanation, delivery, and point-by-point tips were outstanding. I particularly liked your tips about applying the collar (NOBODY points that out) and the tip on NOT to put on the collar or take it as you take him out. Heya, you mentioned, "only use for deaf dogs". Can you point me to any videos you may have on training a deaf dog? Billy Jr. has lost his hearing in one ear and although we have achieved obedience levels to "open" (heal-off-leash, drop on recall, distance control, scent discrimination, etc.) we are no longer going to our original trainer as he mentions we should not as Billy has lost some of his hearing.

Do you know how many times I've watched this video before useing the ecollar finally used it 2years after purchase used it after a few hours training on my dog and wow it worked my dog is finally running free around the park with no fear she gonna run off to far away i even managed to stop her from running up to other dogs like she was prior,
Sadly with total crap recall ltough I kept training over and over she near 2 now and it just got stupid I would only go to enclosed areas but she would not listen at all but hay the ecollar and with Haz and his education trained me (im slow) for 3 years,
And I had to recap on this video yesturday in the Park I couldn't change it from M settings I had to sit on the bench watch this video to remind me when it was stuck on 7, thank you so much now I'm going to start on my really reactive dog that I actually purchased it for originally I can't wait I know it's going to be more difficult she is very slower (like me) in her head and stubborn but I just want them to have freedom and not take off at any chance,
And yup it has resulted in ecollar these are the hardest breed to train and training is a must no if nor buts,
Prior to today I was always worried about ecollar being seen in public by anti ecollar people hence why I've had it for so long in a box but now I don't give 2 fuugs about it with the rise of dog attacks via xl bullies Cross pitts Cross American bulldogs Cross mastive type breeds killing people and children in the uk its disgusting so no one can say my dogs are being ill treated via a ecollar I'm thankfull for it my dog has total recall and so will the other ... I walk with them proudly and stop off at Costa coffee to drink in feild while they running around free .
I really need to buy the 2 dog ecollar mini educator I so hope it won't take me 2-3 years to teach myself to use it lol thanks again haz and all at SheildK9 your the best 😊

FIRST time after watching MANY different e collar video that which SIDE and WHY you put it there. THANK you so much for clearing that up, I just starting with a very "pliable", to use a term you used in another video, Border Collie/Aussie mix. With this pliable, sensitive but easily trainable dog, I had started with the e collar in between me and the dog. What a LOVELY change when I listen to your advice!
I've been learning a ton even though I'm training a trail dog and running companion in and out of the woods, and not a big working dog like your business, your explanations make sense to me and my training.

I have an E OGSD, and im looking to incorporate the use of e collar as part of his training. Im not sure if i should go with "the Boss" over the Mini due to him being a LH who also is becoming a bit reactive toward other dogs.
He is still a pup at almost 5 months old and 60# , but im looking for long term as he starts getting older and larger. YES hopefully with continued training ill only need for slight corrections but lets not fool ourselves with a large working line dog, and "When..not IF " i wanna be able to have the confidence in the reliability of the product that im selecting.. Great explanation, very concise and professional. Unfortunately from what I could see this is not an anti bark collar, so you have to manually push a button to send the stimulus to the dog right? I need something like the ET-300 to train my dog when we walk but also anti-bark, since every time i leave the house he starts barking A LOT and I generally leave very early in the morning and live in a small condo. Does anyone know any product to recommend me?

Thanks for the video. Question for the community. I just got this ecollar for my Aussie/malamute/husky mix who has really thick fur. I have the longer 3/4” contact points on and made sure the collar is on tight. It seems she doesn’t really recognize the shock stimulation until it’s about at 32. I’ve read a few places that 6 is average. Is it normal for her not to register anything until the 30 range? Wondering if anyone with a thick coated dog could weigh in. Thanks. 🙏🏼

I have used this collar and know which settings work so I found this irregular. I took off the collar, and confirmed it was working. After several more attempts I gave up and was going to switch to my prong. Here's the weird part. I could barely touch my dogs neck as I would shocked to no end. His coat was electrified. No matter where I touched his neck, I would get a current of electricity. The collar charged him but I'm wondering why? Any help appreciated.

I’ve been using my mini educator for 3 months now and love it! I usually don’t need to use a stim any more, my dog is so well behaved. 100% recall on walks when running in the woods. BUT when she is not wearing collar she totally takes advantage of not having collar on and acts like an untrained puppy. So what should I do now?

    • @ShamanicSavant
      @ShamanicSavant 2 года назад +1

I start out by having my dog wear it only when we go out to play and have fun for a couple of weeks before introducing the stim. During that time I don't even carry the transmitter, I continue using leash corrections and verbal cues/commands so everything seems like business as usual. I think all dogs get collar wise eventually, but if you do things right it's not an issue. If all you do is slap it on and start pushing buttons in disciplinary drills, of course they're going to hate it :)
