    Thank you! Excellently detailed instruction and especially thoughtful "adjustments" the flexibility of adjustment of this particular product allows! Now I know why our trainer only recommends this product.

    I just wanna say this thing is amazing. I have a brittany that loves to eat everything off the ground without hesitation. This collar paired with the leave it command works wonders especially when I have my hands tied. 100% worth the money and time to train it.

    Thank you! Your demo was so much easier to understand than trying to read the manual!
    I’ve had this collar for a year now but was too overwhelmed trying to tackle the instructions.
    I guess someone else felt the same since it ended up brand new in the box at the Goodwill!
    I was the lucky one who “scored” and paid only $15.00 for it!

    This video was much easier to understand and follow correctly vs the book. The Grammer in the book is NOT user friendly in the sense of the way its explained foe fu cations and using the mini correctly.
    So thank you for making this video, you're a great teacher/ Explanationary (not a word I know lol) 😂
    Best video hands down for understanding your mini.

    Excellent explanation delivered in a calm and articulate voice. This thing had me baffled for months! I was afraid to use it at all after using another collar which my previous trainer had recommended. I never felt I knew how to use the previous collar correctly. Despite spending an entire day with a “trainer”. I finally lost the transmitter and breathed a sigh of relief.
    When I learned about this one I knew I wanted to Take my time and learn how to use it right.
    I’ve Subscribed to your channel and look forward to more videos. Thank you for this one and the recommendations for the addon’s.
    Much appreciated.

    Thank you! Great video with lots of pertinent information! However, I found the part about the buttons just a teensy bit confusing because my Dog Trainer told me to only use the Red button. However, I really like the idea of having the "boost" capability!! I'm going to read the manual (I know - novel idea, right?) and make sure I understand fully how to maximize that functionality because it seems like a game changer for a dog like mine who's still very puppyish and interested in literally EVERYTHING!

    • @frontrangedogtraining
      @frontrangedogtraining  2 месяца назад

      Having the ability to use a lower level and have a second button for the boost is the most useful feature of any ecollar. Not sure why you were told to only use the red?

    • @teresadiservio761
      @teresadiservio761 2 месяца назад

      @frontrangedogtraining Because he says I need the ability to dial up & down depending on the situation. E.g , If I'm in an area with very few distractions... Clearly, an 8 or 9 would do... But if there's a big distraction like another puppy coming towards us... That level 8 or 9 even with a boost of 5 extra points, is not going to be anywhere near enough. I hate to admit it but so far he has been correct in this.

    I really like your idea about incorporating the bark collar! That would be so useful. I used to have a great bark collar, which is no longer made and can't find another that is as good. Great video. You make it very clear and easy. Thanks. I am not of the techie generation, so I have a hard time even getting myself geared up for learning how to do these things.

      Hi Heather, thanks for the feedback. I would recommend either the Garmin BarkLimiter or the eCollar Technologies bark collar. The Garmin is more simple to set up, while the eCollar Technologies has more programming and customization. Hope that helps!

    The Zen shell is for when you're in Boulder ;D. I've got one of these coming today via Amazon, I've used the two other main brands and I'm hoping this will be a more comfortable and intuitive remote. The Dogtra set up is very good but the remote is probably the clumsiest of the 3. The SportDog receiver is pretty sleek and the remote is better than the Dogtra but it's limited to 21 settings at the most. I'm sure that works for most people but I've had dogs over the years that would have benefited from having a little better fine tuning capability on the settings. I have a different style of bungee collar but this one is worth investigating. Thanks for the video, this'll help me set my unit up. I have a 5 month old Rottie right now and she's my first puppy in almost 12 years so I'm having to re-learn a lot of training skills. My other two dogs are 12 and 14 so they mostly just hang out and be lazy so I've got some rust to knock off. I'm here in the Denver metro and I'm working with a trainer but every bit of info helps. And you're spot on about people's misconceptions about e collars. They're a very misunderstood tool and they aren't "Shock collars" at all.

      Hi Kirk, thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience. Ecollars are fantastic tools for communicating with dogs. I first teach that the leash and the ecollar are the same thing, The leash is a landline and the ecollar a cell phone. WE shouldn't be afraid of technology.
      You'll probably love the ET-300. I've used most of the brands out there and it's my current recommendation to clients. The boost feature and lockable dial make this a winner. Go for the magnetic fob (Anywear Clip). It's great.

    Best explanation video for the Mini Educator. Well done. You mentioned the vibration is of higher intensity: does that intensity increase also when you increase the levels on the dial?

    • @frontrangedogtraining
      @frontrangedogtraining  2 года назад +2

      Hi Suzanne, thank you. I really appreciate your feedback. The vibration function is simply on or off, there is no adjustability of the level or intensity of vibration. Hope that helps!

      I also agree with the bark collar option in the ecollar because I first got the Barkless pro 504 and now also own the mini educator 300. 🙄

    • @frontrangedogtraining
      @frontrangedogtraining  Год назад

      Hi Sara, the only time I’ve seen that happen was when someone had clipped their leash to the bungee collar with a dog that still pulled. It definitely stretched the bungee out.
      Otherwise, I’ve never seen any problems. I imagine at some point, just like within any elastic, that they will need replacing. Probably after many years of use, though.

      Thanks so much for your excellent presentation of this E-Collar. I have the 400/402 model, and have used it a lot for 2.5 yrs..When we started traveling FT in our rv, I bought a backup (ET-300), and decided to check it out tonight, as it’s a smaller unit for my hands. After watching your video, I can’t believe how much I had not explored in regards to the features of this E-Collar. My other collar of course has the same features, but I am going to find it a good home. FYI, I just had a Tom Davis’s Dogtra E-Collar, and could not get use to the size and shape of the transmitter, it was clumsy for me. Fortunately, I returned it and am very happy with this E-collar. E-Collar technologies replaced the transmitter for me, on my first collar, long after I had been using it, as it quit working. Great company that stands behind their products.
